The best way to combat the mainstream media is to only buy music, movies, books, magazines, and newspapers from alternative media, independent studios, and small record labels. Sell/trade any DVDs and CDs you have from the big 6 media conglomerates. Don't use myspace or IGN which are owned by Fox. Don't even look at a trailer to their movies. Give up a little so your kids don't have to give up a lot.

Actually that is not completely true, while there is no way solar energy can solve our energy problem the new technology takes up a fraction of the space that the old silicon technology needed. We still need clean coal, nuclear and natural gas until there is a cleaner solution. The problem is our reps don't see it that way, they would rather cap our energy usage and tax our CO2, I believe they are out for more control instead of fixing problems.

But we can't just use solar, there has to be a backup in place for dark days, clean coal and natural gas are great for this. Actually that is not completely true, while there is no way solar energy can solve our energy problem the new technology takes up a fraction of the space that the old silicon technology needed. We still need clean coal, nuclear and natural gas until there is a cleaner solution. The problem is our reps don't see it that way, they would rather cap our energy usage and tax our CO2, I believe they are out for more control instead of fixing problems.

But we can't just use solar, there has to be a backup in place for dark days, clean coal and natural gas are great for this.
