using animals for tests is just so morally wrong it goes against everything we believe. When a vet cuts into those animals it is to make them better. Animal testing makes them ill... they purposely make them sick and hurt them... it should be abolished... it should be a crime... I have no other words to describe it other than SICK. It deeply upsets me.

Monkeys don't belong in cages...no animal belongs in a cage i think...if animals are in a cage its "normalë"...but..if we but a human in a cage its a violation of the human rights..we are animals too, some forget that, the only difference is that ower brain function is better..and ower body developed (by a fault of nature) in a excurly strange position..but that doesn't make us more then animals.. if animals in a cage is normale..why not humans too?

The Nazi's also bred and farmed humans for medical research and torture experiments. The Vietnamese during the Vietnam War also trained their own children to carry bombs. We fought against this kind of treatment when it involved humans.

The idea is that no species has the right to inflict pain and suffering on another species. And humans are the only ones who do it without discrection.

no. You wouldn't want a monkey for a pet, they carry the herpes B virus...which will kill a human very quickly if untreated but has no effect on monkeys themselves. Plus, monkeys belong in the wild.

I had the pleasure of knowing a vet who developed several vaccines for horses, which he had to give to them, and though they looked horrible from the diseases they suffered from, he made sure lived as comfortably as possible. Before any complain that they only suffered because of him, realize that the vaccines he developed have saved countless, as in millions, of horses from needless disease and death. God rest his soul.

Uh, did I say anything about human modeling? NO. If you were half as smart as you think you are, you would have read what I wrote; that millions of HORSES have been spared from the diseases by the vaccines that he developed for HORSES. He was a VET. People don't get things like equine infectious anemia. YES, I consider his research absolutely necessary to the health of all horses, and worth the few death's that enabled it. BTW, I would kill any animal for the sake of a human, a no-brainer there.

No, it simply shows where our priorities lie. Yours, apparently, is with animals, whereas mine lie with humans. There are those who realize that loyalty to one's own species outweighs loyalty to other species, both morally and ethically. After our own species is taken care of, then it's well and good to look after other ones. BTW, 0% of the drugs used on humans would have even made it to clinical trials had it not been for several screenings, one of which is animal testing.

New, more accurate methods are available for most of the testing done on animals. Existing experiments: 50% for curiosity, the rest have been repeated 100's of times and still are not predictive of how a human will react to anything. You've been brainwashed.

Check out the video, 'blood clotting agent'. Not for 'curiosity' or a repeat. This is needed testing, unlike what you would have many believe. Read the entire sentence which contains the words, "morally and ethically". You will find the answer to your question. I am more than humane, I just start with people, then animals. I just read an article in this month's Reader's Digest about a new protein which causes new arteries to grow at the injection site and it's incredible success with extremely ill and dying heart patients. It's called by FGF-1, it was first tested on animals in 1995, and is almost out of clinical trials. Saving lives.
