  • It sounds gorgeous anyway, nevernous. Wether it's played correctly or not. (:

  • @akeel456

Thanks mate, much appreciate!!! the sound is the main thing!!!

    Best regards

  • Hi! Can you please tell me what pc program do you use to link 3 videos simultaneously? Thank you very much!

(Ps. With Windows Movie Maker is it possible?)

  • @7VdW

    Hi, Thanks for comment!!

I Use "Video wave" of "Easy media creator 10" !!!

    Regards

  • @nevernous Hi sorry if I bother you again.. I just got "video wave" of "easy media creator 10" but still can't quite find out where the "split screen" option is.. Any tip? Thank you :-)

  • you need distortion

  • This is completely wrong, all guitars are normal tuning and you played the parts wrong.

  • @CoIeStones

Hi, sorry mate!! hear and look revolution original clip by the beatles on You tube.. my cover is in the same tone! and see which chords John and Georges had played, .. you can see they had played in A.... but we hear a Bb... so you much tune down your guitar for that or play the song in Bb...

See and tell me if you're not agree.

  • @nevernous Check out The Beatles To A Tee, thats how to play Revolution exactly. The Beatles also play differently live.

  • @CoIeStones Actually the guitars were not normally tuned. In the Smother Bros live performance John appears to play in A but is playing near B to Bb. Same for Harrison. Check it out. But your correct it was open otherwise. Except for Harrison's part you can find the correct play here. I do all the instruments and drums. No keyboard. Check it out and let me know what you think.

    watch?v=h-WhCGoTIAA&feature=youtu.be

  • @MusicNickPowers Im sorry but all the people that think The Beatles always played the same live as on the recordings are stupid, if you want to see go on The Beatles To A Tee and see how its done, or buy the dvd to learn how to play the song note for note.

  • Awesome!!! Love it!

  • @tach409

And I love your comment!!! thanks so much!!

    Happy new year!!

    Nevernous

  • the scream in the begginning is done by McCartney

  • @anonimo68406

There were some version of revolution.. Revolution 1 (blues style) Revolution (on single hey jude/revolution) Revolution promotional clip (with goeorges & paul shoobydowap ...) and revolution 9 in white album...

In the Single version John made the scream at the beginning ..you can read that on wikipedia for exemple..

In clip version Paul screaming... My cover is the single revolution version without shoobidooo wap and without brass... and with nicky hopkins piano solo.

  • @bayridge9

    Thanks mate, much appreciate!!!!

  • I feel I could spend the chords or notes of this song on a guitar pro file if you have one, if not where I learned: D Thanks!

  • awesome beatles song!

  • @aryowailangitoyo97

    Thanks so much... appreciate!!!

  • great sound . .what are you plugging your guitars thru? Is that direct in or an amp or modeler? Fookin sounds fantastic dude . . .

  • @DrRussPhd

Thanks for your comment, much appreciate!!!! No amp , All guitars sounds by Gearbox of line6 with a toneport GX. For guitars sounds, I don't choose an amp model but a pré-amp only with drive in 10.. no effect. (like the origninal record of this song)

  • just wondering... does the epiphone viola bass have that little bitty skinny neck with the strings all close together like on an actual hofner? i want a viola bass for mojo and the epiphone is all-around more accessible than a hofner but i still want the tiny neck.

  • @isoscelespopsicle

Thanks mate, much appreciate!!! yes, The Epi Viola have the same style of neck than the hofner bass and for me, it's a very good little bass... if you put some flat-wounds strings, it's more better, for that, take Medium scale strings Rotosound 77 medium scale or 88 true bass black nylon actually on my bass...

    regards

  • um I have trouble with this song. the guitar at the bottom. i can't really hear which part of the song it's playing

  • In this song Sir Paul used his "Cavern" Bass right?

    Your voice is awesome!

  • @kn1ght0fcydon1a

Hi Bass mate, I know Paul play an Hoffner on it but I don(t know if it was his "cavern" bass!

    Thanks for comment, much appreciate!

    Regards

  • @nevernous Hello,

Paul had a 1961 model (left handed) wich he played with during the Hamburg sessons, the Cavern sessons and on there first album Please Please Me. Then Höfner gave him a 1962 model wich he used all the time until the album Revolver. He used his 1961 model as back-up if something happened with the other one but as you said, he did use it during the Revulotion promo vid and after that he swaped the around until it was stolen from Abbey Road during the recording of Let It Be. More

  • This is just simply awesome

  • @ACDCgoneLEGO

    Thanks so much appreciate!!!!!

  • epiphone has a different feeling from the other electric guitars?i dont want to buy it and disapointed,ok it used by my favorite band and looks great, but is it like the other hollowbody guitars

  • @MyDreamside

Hi, Yes The casino is different as the other hollwbody guitars. first, her body is empty, there is no beam in the internal, combined with 2 pickups anilco p90, this gives it a specific sound with a natural crunch ..

    regards

  • The best ever band covered by the best ever Beatles cover 'band'.

    Epic.

  • @emywem100

Yes mate, the very best ever band.....!! Thanks a lot for your comment, much appreciate it... an thanks for the sub!!

    My best regards!

    Nevernous

  • Can u tell me how can i get that sound with the guitar

  • @TheRocanloverVerde

Thanks for comment, The story of the recording beatles' session of this song say that john and georges doesn't used amp but connected their guitars direct on microphones preamplifiers. .. and this distinctive distorted guitar sound was created...

I used a line6 toneport GX with gearbox software for recorded my covers and I also choose only a microphone pre-amp on gearbox

    Best regards

  • @TheRocanloverVerde i think if you turn your bass and volume on your amp all the way up then contol your volume with your guitar...but that might just be with the twin reverb. then turn your guitar on rhythm.

  • @TheRocanloverVerde turn the volume down on your amp then turn the gain really high and turn the volume on your guitar to what you want

  • Very nice cover

  • @AressiYashiroB

and very thanks mate, much appreciate!!!

    >Nevernous

  • are you using a capo on your epiphone?...is it on the first fret?...i use this method on my playing....please correct me if im wrong...im trying to study the solo parts of this song....and using a capo made it easier to play power chords ...i played both rythm and the lead part in this song...

  • @STRATCATJOEY

Hi Guitarmate, no used capo here, I tuned guitars Eb.Ab.C#.Ab.Bb.Eb like The Beatles .. You can see that on the video clip of this song, John played his casino like this. He played A and D on his guitar and you can hear Ab an Db..

    Regards! and thanks.

  • @nevernous oh i see...i never thought about tuning my guitar that way....wow...great help....im still figuring out the solo....almost there....just a little more time and practice....( in practicing right now...) well again...muchas gracias...

  • Shouting was actually by Paul

  • @fivestander

Hi, .., sorry mate I covered révolution (single version) without brass and without Paul and Georges choirs.. and in this single version (B-side of Hey Jude single), John made the pening scream... (read that in the story's song in wikipedia if you want)..

    My best regards

  • @nevernous oh, ok, sorry man. i thought you were doing the past masters version and the promotional video they did had paul doing the scream and george singing backup.

    thx for the clarification

  • Nevernous: Firstly...love your videos. Wondering about your viola bass. I'm thinking of getting one but wondering if I should go for the Hofner (the cheapest one which is the same price as the Epi) or the Epiphone viola. You seem to be a Beatles sound connoisseur, so I'm wondering if you find the sound closer on the Epiphone, or if you just got it because it was all you could get in your area. Any feedback on that would be great.

  • @hakujap

Hi and thanks for comment.. much appreciate it!!!

when I bought my Epi, Hoffner Icon didn't exist... only 500/1 hoffner was available.... but twice of the Epi's price. So I choose the Epi and I don't regret this. Today, didn't have the opportunity to try a hoffner icon..

    Regards

  • @nevernous

Thanks for the info. I guess I'll just have to try them out, though getting that Hoffner Icon isn't easy here in Japan. Looks like only mail order.

Anyway, keep up the good work on YouTube.

  • Great Cover, Sir! And thanks for the lesson :)!

  • @rippedking

    Thanks mate, much appreciate!!!

    regards!

  • hey did you play the song in a whole step up? because the way i play it is different. but other than that question awesome job.

  • @LedZeppelin4509

Guitars are tunning in Eb.Ab.C#.Ab.Bb.Eb for this video.

    Thanks for comment.

    My Best regard

  • @nevernous where did you get the tabs for it?

  • @nevernous and are you using the dst from the amp or are you using a fuzz pedal?

  • @LedZeppelin4509

Hi, guitar mate, for guitars sounds, I don't choose an amp but a pré-amp only with drive in 10.. no effect. (like the origninal record of this song)

  • @LedZeppelin4509 Alright Because the Amp I got is a 1970's acoustic solid state amp kinda like what John Paul Jones used so it's a bass amp but its awesome for a guitar amp. when I play this song i sometimes use the fuzz channel but for others i use my BOSS DS-1 with the Dst all the way up and the tone 3/4 he way up to get that fuzz sound.

  • cool

  • @lawdymellons

    Thanks!!!!

  • Hey awesome cover!! ;D

  • @RosySuperBeatleFan

    Thank, very much appreciate!

    Nevernous

  • You did the electric piano solo too, right?

  • love your cover bro. Only some guitarists are eager to learn both rhythm and lead section of a song and theyre on the right path to become a guitar god

btw how did you put 3 recorded clips in 1 video?

  • @MrMisterBluesman

What a great comment, I very appreciate it mate.! I Edit all my clips in 1 video with a software : "video wave" of "easy media creator 10" by Roxio.

    My best regard

  • @caulinrocker

Hi, thanks for comment mate, I think P90' are not good pickups for play "hard rock", but good for rock with natural crunch or just a little amp drive, also in a solidbody guitar. In the album Tommy, P Townshend use P90 in a gibson LG, D Gilmour in the solo of "another brick in the wall" in an LesPaul...

    Regards

  • The shouting part at the beginning is by Paul not John. Great cover tho!

  • @thewhitejimihendrix Hi, thanks for comment, much appreciate..

So, for the shouting, in my cover, I take the shout of the Révolution 1 version and in this version, John screamed.... after in 2nd version, Paul screamed because John don't want screaming.... you can read the story of this song in WIKIPEDIA Read specially "televised performance"..

  • Super version !

  • @Logales

    Merci! ....;)

  • Let me know if I've got this right. You tune each string down a semitone and play with fingerings in the key of B, so it sounds in the key of Bb. Whereas on the video of this song by MyTwangyGuitar (URL: v=P5Lf0kxvs90 ), he explains that he tunes each string UP a semitone (plus very slightly higher, because he says that he doesn't quite play at concert pitch A=440Hz, but at A=450Hz) and uses fingerings in the key of A. So in both cases, the the song sounds in the key of Bb. Am I right?

  • @variousthings

yes mate, you're right! I tried to play like Beatles, If you see the beatles' video of this song (play-back) you can see John played an A and you can hear a Bb...

So I very like Mytwangyguitar; he's sound is good. He was right for the pich...if you want to play with the original recording, you must tune at A=450Hz..

    Regards!

  • @nevernous Thanks!

  • @crazyguitarkid77

So, for these reasons, the sound is different. and I love casino sound for his naturall crunch... sheraton is for play jazz and blues... but just my advice...!

    regards!!

  • @crazyguitarkid77

These 2 guitars are very different even if they is alike. Casino is totally hollowbody and equipped with pickups P90 while the shératon is equipped with a central beam and with pickups humbuckes.

  • How well do you think the Epiphone Viola does at capturing the McCarthy sound?

  • @crazyguitarkid77

    And Really thanks mate..!!!!

  • Who is singing this?

  • @Italienstallion14

Hey, I'm singing ,and playing all music of this mate exept Lennon scream at the beginning ..

    Thanks!!!

  • @nevernous Your awesome man. Great job. You should do a cover of "I want you".

  • Man that was great , would love to jam with ya.

  • @epimangood

Hey, come in france mate, or play with in virtual band like with my Italian Friend Francoplays

    Regards

  • Not only do you sound like Ringo, but you sound like John as well!

  • @guilmon182

Very much appreciate mate.. Thanks...! but I think I sound like Nevernous héhéhé..!

    best regards.!

  • i like this cover, but the intro guitar riff sounded like it could have used more distortion. Other than that, it was great!

  • Hi mate and thanks for comment.! In the original Beatles recording, Georges and John haven't used effect for guitars.. directly on preamp with drive in 10..! I tried to make the same thing in this cover.

  • oh sorry, i never heard "the white album" recording, i thought it sounded like the live verson the beatles did. say have you done a cover of 'dear prudence'?

  • Dear prudence is a very good song, I love it... I play acoustic guitar of it... I must work on all the parts for cocering it..!

    Regards..

  • I like your cover about this great song!!!!!!!

    Congratulations from Venezuela...

  • Very thank you mate..!

Much appreciate... Big Hug of France.!

  • Are you from France!!!! that´s Good!! my brother live in Marsella, he´s agreat musician too!!!! you are a great fan of the beatles, las week I bought a Epiphone Casino vintage sunburt, it is a great guitar!!!!!! like yours

  • Thanks very much for this great comment.!

    Regards.!

  • That was amazing. My favourite Beatles song.

  • thank you very much..!

    regards..!

  • you play johns lead parts on the les paul when he plays it on the casino and do georges part on the casino

  • thank for comment...!

sorry mate, but not agree with you... look on you tube the live version, it seems to me than I use the good guitar for the good part...

    best regards.!

  • For all the people who think that Paul did the screaming in the studio version, it was John, Paul did the one in live version.

  • quick question...fir the tuning u r using..is that the tuning the beatles used on the record?

  • Yes I play it in the same tone than the original record. If you see live version (same tone also) you can see the chords used by John, you can see an A and you hear an Ab..!

  • thanks this cover helped me learned to play it on guitar!

  • Sorry mate, I'm sure, it was really John.. !

  • I think the shout at the beginnig is by McCartney, not lennon.

  • Hi, Thanks for see an comment my video, but sorry mate, it's really a John's shout at the begining not Paul.. you can read that on many books of beatles ' history

also in wikipédia if you want...!-)

  • Yes you're right I was confusing with the semi-live version in 1968, when Paul did the scream :)

  • It is Cool. The rhythm is a very good performance.

  • thank you guitar-mate. much appreciate..!
