Richard does age its the time travelling that's throwing everything off. Just like John Locke never got older to Charles Widmore because of the flashes.
Actually Richard is "immortal", and does not time travel. To do that would require the Wheel of Time, beneath the island or the Vault in the Orchid station, but that only shifted test subjects 100 miliseconds ahead in four dimensional space. He is always at the island, most of the time, and seen by many all the time. Widmore only saw Locke 2 times in his entire life.
Also The statue with 4 toes is/maybe Tawret the god of maternity and love, and has 4 toes and also apep, Tawret's son is desribed as black smoke =) get me? and it's a coincidence that aaron, the baby is the son of jacob in the bible.

parts i dont get still- a few episodes before season 4 ended they found the doctor from the freighter dead on shore, but he was still alive at that same time on the boat, and would be killed later that day. is that some kinda timing screw up with the island? like when they were on the helicopter and it took them so long to get to the freighter? another thing is, why did regina throw herself off the boat? the cap said they were acting crazy, why?whatHappened 2 the infection? There's a part where Faraday explains that time on the island travels at a different speed than normal... While he was on the island, he asked someone on the freighter to send some kind of a missile... Faraday calculated the time that it would reach the island, but it took like half an hour more to get to the island... This incident and the other where they find the dead doctor definitely explains there's some sort of time screwup...
yea also when locke was a boy in season 4 i think richard or someone(forgot his name but it starts with an R)was testing him to see if he was special enough for their school...then u see that same man 30 years later and he hasnt aged at all...not sure if time is slower on the island or they just have a longer life span on the island.

You do all realise that Jacob is a man that is underneath the island and has wires hooked into every orifice of his body allowing him to control the "black smoke" to manipulate our fellow Losties into staying happy on the island. Reason being, Jacob is very old and needs someone to replace him to take over looking after the island, originally this person was meant to be Walt (before they extended the Seasons) but now it is written to be Locke.

Jacob and Christian are two separate people, but I doubt we will actually see Jacob on the show, only Christian speaking on Jacob's behalf.

I truly hoped that the show's religious undertones would play a much bigger part. I originally thought the smoke monster was the remnants of God.

Jacob is an avatar of the island, it means it can assume any form it want. Generally, an avatar prefferes to assume a form already know (or that will be knew) by the chosen one...

Well yeah... I have a feeling it's Christian Shepherd... Not only Jack and Claire, but even Locke and Michael who've never seen Christian before, have actually seen him... Locke sees him along with Claire in Jacob's cabin ... and Michael sees Christian too, just right before the freighter explodes...

could jacob be jacks grandfather? christian says he can speak for him, and i know that they have talked about christians father in some episode. i believe christian even says he was a great man. although i don't think we have ever seen him in the show.

Guys... That's Jack voice. Jacob is Jack, only older. No doubt about it, and the eye that Hurley saw on the cabin was Jack, although someone else was sitting on the chair. I'm still lost but I'am almost positive Jack is Jacob. Jacob is hebrew for Jack. Hugz.

You do all realise that Jacob is a man that is underneath the island and has wires hooked into every orifice of his body allowing him to control the "black smoke" to manipulate our fellow Losties into staying happy on the island. Reason being, Jacob is very old and needs someone to replace him to take over looking after the island, originally this person was meant to be Walt (before they extended the Seasons) but now it is written to be Locke.
