  • long live the wave...so god like..if ian curtis is alive he will be astonished how New order takes over what he left in joy Division - enchanted lyrical poetic songs...

  • they sound like Joy Division. Its almost like they were influenced by the band

  • Peter Hook really knows how to ruin the end of a song.

"They've all finished, think I'll just keep playing. Right, should probably end it here, just got to make sure I hit the right note.........shit."

  • I was there too. Came dowm from Manchester to see them and it was a well worth the journey.

  • I was there. Incredible experience, aged 15.

  • Yup - also there. 3 drunks crammed into a one person tent. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

  • I was there,

pissed it down; danced my ass off.

Only bands nearly as good Pixies/Fall in '90 and Nirvana in '91.

  • Possibly my all time fav song & what a LIVE performance, jealous of who ever witnessed this.

  • i was there and 21 yrs later it still the best live gig ive ever seen

  • one of their greatest songs, what a group for the ages...

  • I'm joining in on the 'I was there too' ... this was a brilliant gig (it doesn't sound that great here but it was). N.O. had just finished a US tour and brought these huge speakers that sat out in the field - the sound was just crystal clear with the lasers scanning across the night sky...

  • saw new order at reading in 98 - rememeber the smell of swamp - what did people film with in those days?

  • Crikey what a set list that must have been. Silent Face, followed by Vanishing Point.

  • New Order is and always be the essence of what God will present you with beggining whith substance and Ian Curtis at the end of time.

  • yep was there too...just over in front of hooky...loved every second...they really played a great set!!

  • Was there aged 18. Headliners were The Pogues, The Mission and New Order. Also saw New Model Army, Pop Will Eat Itself, Sugarcubes and a bunch of others I don't remember.

Hooky tried to set fire to his bass with limited success.

    Great days.

  • how were the Pogues? I never saw them but always wanted to...

  • The Pogues were drunk and brilliant - as was I, well drunk at least...

  • Me too, was a month away from 18. New Order's set has always stayed vivid in my mind- the only time I saw them, so glad I did. Got the gig on bootleg cassette (remember them?) Shockingly- for a Bjork fan- I can't remember a thing about Sugarcubes !

  • i was at the reading festival in 1987 - came especially to see new order - but they cancelled...broke my heart - although i saw them 5 times before in san francisco.

  • Not relevant to face reading catagory

  • I don't know how to explain... but listening to this song always makes me cry. One of the most beautiful moments in the history of music, IMHO.

What a band, Jesus Christ, what a band !!!

  • wow - best band of the 80s!

  • I was there. Amazing performance. Suzuki GSX250 and no shortage of beer. Best weekend of my life.

  • me too^

  • genius...brings tears to my eyes...

  • This was the performance in which Barney played with his pleasure zone and started throwing musical equipment around. Daft but wonderful. You caught me at a bad time...ho ho

  • Best New order Song!!!!

  • Another perfomance that i haven´t seen in the 80´s!
