  • He didn't throw sinker, he threw a gravity ball.

  • cant even make it to the plate lol

  • i love how it says "Old Timers" in the back

  • i love how the score board says old timers

  • Get your right and left correct

  • u guys, just grip it like a four seam but slightly off center so your middle finger is not on the seam and slightly turn your wrist as you release. it works really well like a hard slider with more movement.

  • @Calshane1 ... When you grip the ball on one side you are putting more pressure on that side so I would break the other way. So if you want it to cut to the right you would put more pressure on the left side of the ball.

  • 0:25 if you turn the ball right side up its just a 4-seam fastball. Lol

  • thats not how u throw a cutter grandpa

  • lol it says old timers in the back

  • OK....i've got one for you.... why does the pitch work backwords for my son? If he grips for the ouside pitch it breaks inside. Grips for the inside pitch and it breaks outside? I tell him to throw it just like a fastball and he's getting a nice break but I'm stumped on the Grip/break? ANYONE???

  • damn oldtimer

  • my cutter is more effective if my two fingers are lined up against each other and between the two seams.

  • @therbert11 thats not a cutter then. thats a 2-seam fastball or sinker. correct if im wrong but a 2-seamer cuts/sinks the same way a cutter would just not to the left or right.

  • @ghettohammer1118 a two seam is held ON the seams, not between them. an a two seam fastball is supposed to tail into a right handed batter if thrown by a righty, a cutter does the opposite.

  • @ghettohammer1118 no, i mastered the two seamer recently, and im working on a cutter now, but heres my analogy on these. a cutter is like a curveball, moving away from a right handed batter if a righty pitches it. and the two seam is like a screwball, moving towards a right handed batter if thrown by a righty.

  • @ghettohammer1118 they are the same pitch, they just go in opposite lateral directions

  • This works except if youre a righty and you want to throw inside o a righty put the pressure on your index figer outside put it on your middle finger

  • guys i am going to make it simple. i have been throwing a cutter for a while now...it sinks and slides a bit of each. its a faster, less moving slider essentially. heres my rule for starters: throw the outside third of the ball. done!

  • he may not throw 90mph but at least he knows what he's talking about. i hope I'm in as good a shape when I'm 65+

  • every pitch he throws looks exactly the same cuz he throws like 40 mph.

  • he's like at least 70 years old give him a break

  • annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd BALL

  • thanks grandpa

  • ha ha

    that was good

  • @stlcardsfan51 ahahhahaha!

  • Ha Ha, I wasn't taught to throw a cutter like that. I don't trust ExpertVillage.

  • dude....what's up with the Ha Ha? Sounds like you're 5 .

  • LOL the park's name is "Old Timers"

  • thank you old man river. 38 MPH
