@BrutalBassline I could be wrong but i thought that LCD didnt use 600hz, it only uses 60hv 120hz or 240 hz, plasma is the only one that uses 600hz, because plasma is the only type you dont have to worry about blurring... i just ordered a proscan 42"LED tv and mine has 120 hz... so i was just saying i dont think thats right. sorry to burst your bubble.

the tv sucks i have had one for about six months before getting bad burn in problems. my burn in problem is not the result from leaving something on the tv for to long it happens all the time. if i put it on TNT or the tv guide or play games for more then an hour or two the things that stay stationery on the tv will be burned in for about 24 hours at best. so dont get to happy yet. i have had two low model tvs and thay have both been shit. it is worth it to spend more for something better.

This TV has never done that. That is uausally Plasma TV's that do that. They can get burned images, but usually not LCD's.

The 42rv530u?, well its all up to you. depends on your budget, & wat ur looking for. I don't like to tell people which TV to get, cuz everyone's different, there may be better ones out there that are for this price ($1,100), im not sure. But just check around, and see what you like best. Sony & Samsung are always the best brands, but they come with a huge price tag! Sharp is good fair price brand too.

nice tv its hard for the $1,000 range you cant get best of both i mean 1080p and great contrast if you want both its about $2,000 for 42", for example here you got 1080p but your lacking in contrast deep black colors. i ended up going with a 720p plasma samsung but superb contrast deep black colors. the toshiba lcds are not that deep. but still a dope t.v true hd there do you have a 360?

Well the 42xv505dg seems to me its better. It has only 3 HDMI Inputs, as the 42rv530u has 4(but that doesnt really matter). The 42xv505dg has a better contrast ratio-30,000:1. It is about $200 more around $1368. But ya I'd say you got a nice one. I only see it in the UK, Do you live in the UK?
