It's "Central Services/The Office", a song composed by Michael Kamen for the 1985 movie "Brazil".
I hope it's in the final cut of WALL-E since it's amusing and appropriate, but it was probably just meant as teaser music, and Thomas Newman is producing an original score for it.
You can tell Wall-E is going to have the hardest decision grabbing onto that ship - and its going to be such an awesome moment when he decides to leave =]
He only grabbed onto the ship because it's passenger is a girl robot and he realized he was meant to feel love, compassion, caring and every other humane emotion that makes us feel so close every now and then.
Well.... I only said I was kidding in hopes you wouldn't believe me and I hadn't spoiled anything. looks like it's too late to take back everything I've said about the movie, wouldn't you say?
This music was previously used in another movie, Terry Gilliam's science fiction film "Brazil". It was composed by Michael Kamen, who also did the score for movies like The Iron Giant and X-Men. In my opinion, he's an unspoken musical genius.
Yeah, that's part of what I love about them. The plot of "Monsters Inc." legitimately surprised me since the trailers didn't tell me a damn thing about it, it just showed me the cool monsters and what they do.
That's how trailers should be: show you what's cool in the movie, and let the plot take care of itself.
It's ironic that the people who still have a soul for animation are also at the forefront of CGI, which is turning the animation genre into a commodity of spectacle.
I want a movie where Luxo & WALL-E are the stars

is it me or does it look like a spitting image of Johnny 5???
MicPoet23 4 years ago
Johnny 5 is considerably larger and skinnier than WALL-E, and has buggier eyes.
I think he looks more like the R.O.B.

I thought it looked it one of the droids captured by the Jawas in the first Star Wars film.
