I think we had around 200 attendees and SouthTube's motto was "Where everbody is somebody!" There were tons of talented and entertaining people at the event. A great time was had by all. Please feel free to join us for SouthTubeGathering II.

Yes, there were some people of color at the event. Please review any videos with the tag of "southtube". SouthTube was an event where everybody is somebody and it was a very diverse group of people and noone was excluded. I hope that answers some of your question. I'm sure this event took an unbelievable amount of work, and I'm glad YouTube could come here to Atlanta or I probably wouldn't have been able to afford it , being the poor college student that I am. I do have to say that it felt a little strange seeing it empty. But as you said, Marty, the laughter and good times still rang out. They always will. That pavilion, and the area around it, is now possessed by a collective poltergeist, consisting of every one of us who was there. I wouldn't recommend going back there any time around Halloween. LOL!!

An idea for a simple picnic, initially shared by Lemonette and TubeGranny (as I recall), accidentally expanded into a monumental collaboration, and a LOT of hard work and devotion by a LOT of people. The result was SouthTube, an event NONE of us will ever forget!

I offer my own sincere thanks to every one of you who made it happen. You all put your hearts and souls into it, worked your butts to the bone, and the result was AWESOME!!
