The color overlay is really cool. It can make things simpler, but more colorful. I really like the magnetic lasso tool, too. It makes selecting a certain part of an image so much easier!
I love the magnetic lasso tool because you can easily select the picture you want because the system is very smart and can detect what is standing out.
I liked the fact that you explained exactly how the layers work in Photoshop, Mr. Heil. Before, I was kind of confused on how it worked, and had to go through some trial and error to find out how to do certain things. But now that you cleared that up, I can complete things more efficiently! :)
The most helpful part of this tutorial I feel is saving selections and presets, I dont want myself crying if i spent an hour lassoing smthing and loosing that selection, and i dont want to keep changing my settings 4 a new doc, so thank you so much!!!, looking forward to see what we'll do with these layers we formed!
The silhouette tool actually reminded me a lot of the iPod commercials. It's pretty interesting to see that despite the fact that photoshop often has a connotation with being difficult to use, it is actually quite user friendly if you take the time and effort to know your way around the tools and functions.
Photoshop is amazing! Although it seems really complex at first, as I follow the video tutorial, I'm slowly getting used to the tools. I think magnetic lasso tool and filling the picture with a solid color is very useful!!
This is all so new to me, everything looks so complicated. Even though its hard for some reason I am still smiling while doing it, Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this!
My life would have been a lot easier in art class if I had known this earlier.
I'll make sure to remember how to fill layers and images with a single colour in the future, in case I'll have to do any more work involving silhouettes!
I liked this tutorial because it explained the basics of photoshop and how it works, more in dept. I am still amazed by photoshop's flexibility to work with multiple layers to create original images.
Photoshop seems really useful! I like how I could change anything I want to the way I want it too look. I also like how these tutorials gives me a lot of freedom in how I want to express myself.
This tutorial reminds me of Bruno Mars' "Just The Way You Are" single artwork which is pretty cool! Now I can make the exact thing with my own picture.
I liked the shadow effect because I believe I could use it in future when I have to edit my artwork and photos, or give a distinct taste to the photo I have. I think it is really convenient too, since only thing you need is a lasso tool and the shadow effect, and photo of yourself. It is easy and convenient! Yay!
I really like the shadow effect as a whole. I didn't know we could do stuff like this, I'd like to try it on a animation character in the near future!
I've been seeing so many shadows of people in the Computer Lab! Finally we get to do it. haha I learned that the placements and orders of the layers matter in Photoshop!
When I was reading the directions, I thought that it could be very complicated. However, once I saw the tutorial I realized how easy it could be once knowing how to use the right tools.
I really think saving the selection is a very good tool because I don't need to go back and retrace the picture with the lasso again! The order of the layers really matter a lot too. I will definitely keep this in mind.
It's really cool how we can make shadows of ourselves. Although Photoshop looked really difficult at first, I'm getting the hang of it and it really isn't as tough as I thought it was.
This is sooo cool! I like how I can use my different interests to create my own collage. Collage is so fun to make and I love making it so much. It is actually MY own collage!
I really liked how you can separately segregate the background with the foreground and work with each independently. This is very interesting and I hope to complete my collage well.
I got to learn about cutting out our images and filling them in with different colors along with our backgrounds. I learned the basic format of how Photoshop works, which means they work in layers: basically organized of how which image goes on top or below.
From this video, I learned how to lock layers, create layers, and change the layers colors for either background and the selected shape. This video helped me to make half of my shadow collage. Mr. Heil also used a metaphor that was also helpful in understanding why some layers are below the other.
I never knew how to make make a shadow collage until I saw this video. The magnetic lasso tool makes it easier to crop my shadow. Photoshop is very useful.
This is just astonishing. Recently, we created a collage in geography class, and I regret that I should've used this photoshop program for that project. Now, I know so much about this program, especially on creating different aspects and shape for pictures and collage. Thank you!
I learned that the magnetic lasso tool is much more suitable for me than the default one because its easier to crop out specific parts(produces better results as well). I still have to be a bit more accurate but I think i'll get the hang of it.
It's interesting to see all the things photoshop can do. It's kind of hard at first to do this, but it slowly gets easier and also fun. I think the shadow collage is really cool ad fun as well as creative.
This is interesting because it is extremely difficult but helpful. I learned how to change colors in the background and foreground. I hope to learn more and understand more about photoshoping
It was cool to make my profile and cut it out, and filling it with different colors. I learned how to do these things which I never knew I would be doing. The video was really helpful and I am looking forward to working with photoshop. :)
I finished it in class. Yee! Anyway, I learned about how to use the color overlay function. When I first started photoshop I thought it was too simple to be an option but it's cool to use it this way.
Like how you said at the end, I had problems when i moved my pictures. But now :) I know what to do to move specific pictures without moving other pictures
I learned more about the layers and how they work. When I usually work with photoshop, I never knew what layers were used for. I now know how to use them properly and how to work the basics.
I saw how to make the shadow collage. I though that the lasso tool is a very effective and useful tool to edit a photo. Also, photoshop isn't too hard so I am excited to use it!
I learned more about how to edit, and make a shadow of myself. I never knew how to do anything in photoshop except cropping and exposure so everything i learn is interesting and new.
I learned how to make a shadow collage of myself and to make layers. I thought it was really interesting how we could make such a cool thing by ourselves.
I learned a lot from this video. Using layers and filling in colors was really helpful because I didn't know what was going on. You can use Photoshop to really get rid of anything you don't want in the picture, including blemishes on your skin! I learned the magnetic lasso is a lot easier than the regular lasso, and I found out that you can just select the old lassoing you did if you accidentally erased it. Offsetting the makes the picture a lot nicer and using the eraser to hit any blunt edges.
I really like this video because I never used Photoshop. This video taught me how to do various things such as good lasso. I think that making the shadow collages will be really fun and that they will look good after they finished. I thought using lasso was hard, but after this video, I thought it was fun and easy.
I've never used photoshop before - or knew how to. This video is very helpful because now I actually know what some of the symbols in the tool box mean. (Or what it does.) (:
I am remember that this shadow tutorial was rather challenging, but through these steps provided I was able to go through the whole Photoshop lesson. However, at the end I felt proud because I went through the video and the end result was impressive (:
I didn't know That I had to write but I think I have to.. from all of the Ps tut this was my second best!! I used it in my CD and was helpful when I was making my CD case.
I appreciate this video very much; in fact, I thought this part was the most difficult of all sections, but this video helped me and exactly told what to do.
The shadow tutorial took the longest and was the trickiest of them all, because we had to incorporate all of the skills we had learned. I really couldn't have done it without these tutorials.
This exercise was really challenging, but I learned a lot from this as well! I thought there would be like a separate tool for smoothing out images, but the eraser tool seems to fulfill the purpose just as well. It was really tricky cutting out my profile picture and making it smoother...but it was great fun. It was also helpful to learn how to fill things with color. Overall this exercise was challenging and fun at the same time. Thanks!
This tutorial is so cool! I like adjusting photos
