The silhouette tool actually reminded me a lot of the iPod commercials. It's pretty interesting to see that despite the fact that photoshop often has a connotation with being difficult to use, it is actually quite user friendly if you take the time and effort to know your way around the tools and functions.

I liked the shadow effect because I believe I could use it in future when I have to edit my artwork and photos, or give a distinct taste to the photo I have. I think it is really convenient too, since only thing you need is a lasso tool and the shadow effect, and photo of yourself. It is easy and convenient! Yay!

I learned a lot from this video. Using layers and filling in colors was really helpful because I didn't know what was going on. You can use Photoshop to really get rid of anything you don't want in the picture, including blemishes on your skin! I learned the magnetic lasso is a lot easier than the regular lasso, and I found out that you can just select the old lassoing you did if you accidentally erased it. Offsetting the makes the picture a lot nicer and using the eraser to hit any blunt edges.

This exercise was really challenging, but I learned a lot from this as well! I thought there would be like a separate tool for smoothing out images, but the eraser tool seems to fulfill the purpose just as well. It was really tricky cutting out my profile picture and making it smoother...but it was great fun. It was also helpful to learn how to fill things with color. Overall this exercise was challenging and fun at the same time. Thanks!
