@izzysmart I believe waiters now have to declare the monies they earn in tips which over a certain amount it classed as taxable I think they have to inform there managers about any tips I believe it was Mr Tony Blair who tried to put forward this silly law But in any case you’ll find the large majority of those who receive tips will simply keep quite about it & quiet rightly too why should they profiteer the greedy corrupt bank managers who drive around in their classy Rolls Royce’s

@izzysmart I remembered hearing about it on the BBC NEWS some years ago when the last Labour Government was in control It more or less stated that any earnings whether its receiving tips, cash in hand etc is taxable & you have a duty to declare it to the inland revenue The best thing to do is if you receive a tip keep quite its your little secret Well I certainly wouldn’t give the inland revenue my tips I’ll sooner go to prison
