  • Don't get me wrong, I play the bells too, but why was it all on his right hand. Most of the time there weren't any double stops, so why was he just hovering his left hand? BTW I wrote a glockenspiel piece that you can listen to on my channel.

  • wheres your left hand come in? just saying.

  • haha this is so cute, i love the glokenspiel haha niceplaying C: i want one too :c!

  • you are an asshole ;), wtf why do you use only one mallet

  • that's bell ! not glockenspeil !

  • @WaraWara3669 I am a middle school percussionist and I can tell you the glockenspiel is also sometimes called the bells. They're really the same thing.

  • Sounds nice. I see I number of Glockenspiel purists have weighed in.

  • Hi! I play mallets in my marching band's pit. First of all, considering you've never taken lessons, this is pretty good. Most of my friends pick up the mallets and don't know what the notes are lol :) however, when you hold your mallets, here's a few tips. Make sure you don't point your finger, keep it wrapped around the mallet. Also, make sure your thumb on the side, not the top- unless you're doing 4 mallets. And unless you're doing double stops, try to alternate your hands. Hope this helped!

  • OK so first of all im a girl and I am better at playing the piano :) I noticed it looked similar to the piano so I decided to play Canon..... I love Canon in D! Though I have never taken classes to play the Glockenspiel!!!!! :) Thank You everybody for giving me your opinions!!!! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!!!!! :P

  • @v3ch70 Whats the deal with the sex? you're a girl who plays glockenspiel, and plays it good :) love it.

  • @Maxnmem the pointer finger isn't part of the grip that gives the mallet power it's for control and he had pretty good control

  • Please tuck your pointer finger in.

your mallet grip is making me cringe.

  • cannon actually is spelled "canon"

  • I don't know why I have a feeling that he's right handed.

  • you have two mallets for a reason... other than playing two notes at the same time.

  • you're a shit, take lessons!

  • this is chance falk of kersey colorado.in platte valley middle school band im not shure how old you are but if you only use one mallet it will be harder for you to play you schould try to use bolth it will be easyer than only using one

  • that was good but youd mess up less if you used both mallets instead of just for the chords

  • can u give me the chords the letter of the bar plss....

  • everybody this is a kit middle schoool begginers use at school and to practice a home, it comes with a practice pad too, and u can either rent it for like 25 a month or buy it for about 550 dollars....:]

  • hi, can you tell me where did you buy it? and how much it cost. thanks

  • um... i dont really know because my brother used it when he was in the band..... it was the school's property.... so he alredy turned it in :) sorry!

  • Is that an alto glockenspiel? What model is it?

  • @insteally that was a beginners bell kit, looks like ludwig, it comes with the percussion kits that kids rent from music stores when they start off in band.

  • really good but a flawless technique requires you to alternate hands

  • we have glockenspiel here in Philippines but something indifferent is happening like we prefferally call this instrument as a *LYRE* but there is a specific string instrument that is named LYRE! also we play this usually in a standing position (or horizontal position we called extent position) and we used it usually in parades so we our trained to play this instrument in a horizontal position. But i was inspired to this little boy so i practiced to play it vertically. Nice video Post!

  • Hey,Why your left hand not have use?please try try
