  • Hey see ur airbag light?!?!? annoying yet?? is a part in the buckle that goes out in like 75% of our ep3s and Honda fixes it for FREE!!!! so hop on it!!!

  • it seemed like it took so much effort to shift when this is one of the easiest Hondas to drive known to man. You can hit 7200rpm too, not quite understanding the short shifting in a car that needs every RPM it can get.

  • Hate how the EP3 civic had such a low redline, can barely hear VTEC crossover. Loved the body style but seems more like a civic hatch with an Accord Engine. Swap it out for the K20Z3

  • NO it has I-VTEC YOU IDIOT...... engages at very low rpm's..... and the a3 only have 1 stage v-tec as k20a2 has 3 stage...... but these motors are HIGHLY underestimated.....

  • Does the i-VTEC system in this gen Civic Si have two sets of cam lobes? No. Therefore, it doesn't have true VTEC, like the B16 or newer K20 engines do.

  • Dude you know you can go up to 7k rpm right? get you just that little bit closer to 60 mph before you got to shift to 3rd xD lol

  • Stock engine cut on the ep3 is 6800 rpm.

  • The stock tach believe it or not is off by 400 rpm at redline so yes really. I was a technician at Clawson Honda of Fresno for 2 years and worked on several of these ep3's including my own 2003. I have an after market autometer shift light tachometer to prove the discrepincy.

  • Yeah that is what I thought at first as well, but then I got kpro and a good shift light digital tach and tapped into the tach signal wire to the ecu and I rev to 7600 and the stock tach says 8000. Hey man no problem if you have any other questions just hit me up bro.

  • there is no engine cut it has a rev limiter and its at 7200 rpm not 6800, i would know ive hit it before.

  • @softestvoice what the hell are you talking about you just made no sense the posts before mine were talking about an airbag light and the service manual doesnt tell you were the rev limiter is dum ass and your more of a ricer than i am, you cant call me a ricer when my car is stock dum ass

  • What I'm talking about is the fact that the other posters just had a whole conversation about the EP3 tach being about 400rpm off from the actual rpm.

    As for the ricer comment, my bad. Most folks running around hittin the rev limiter are doing some stupid shit, so I just assumed ricer.

  • @softestvoice ya thats ok guess it is 6800 dunno mabey i should get an aftermarket tach. and about the ricer its ok i hit rev limiter because stupid people try to race me off traffic lights and i know there not going to go as fast as me so i pass them, hitting the rev limiter a few times, i go 10 mph over limit unlike most people who try getting in front of me.

  • put a cold air intake, believe me, its better my ep3 rulls hella fast with my 10 pound flywheel, and full exhaust system
