  • It's a Mexican Bingo Hall

  • Cuban Station @ 7.887 Mhz

  • Thanks!

  • I've found that channel too. there is a channel in English on sw that is the universal time channel. could it possibly just be the time channel in Spanish?

  • ooops! I think he spelt his name Yogi Berra.

  • From a few different sources years ago, they said that it is spies get instructions. I can not confirm that. But over the years I have hear nothing but numbers in many languages and also in Morse code. The Morse code must be the really good stuff, lol.

You did a great job in repairing your radio and it sounds really good too.

  • Thank you so very much for your kind remarks. I am still working onn this pup. I found that lightly tapping on the coax cable near the antenna causes all sorts of static, so I have to replace it. It must be shortiing out inside. Replacing this coax is a 2 hr job! Also I still have to align the SW bands and receive WWV. Sometimes the audio has distorted bass response, so I hope the shorting Coax solves this and the static and the not being able to get WWV. Your Comments mean a LOT to me!

  • I need to learn morse code!

Was it Yogi Beara or Casey Stengel who said it's not over 'till it's over. I can't say the fat lady sang yet untill this pup is back in it's Cabinent. Still some things to do , like to make a bracket and riser shim for the speaker. The speaker field coil frame is too shallow and needs to be raised from the cabinent cross bar 1/2 inch so the speaker will match with the grill cloth. I need to get some old timey chassis pan screws too. The thread is hard to find.

  • I'm sure you'll have no problem learning morse code, nowadays there's even a translater on the internet! Great job on the radio!

    _ _ .. _ _._. .....

  • Thanks! I'm in the home stretch. Needs alignment in the SW bands and some mods to the speaker after I replace the coax cable from the antenna input to the RF stage. whew! What a project!

  • Yep it so not over until its over. But it will be nice to see it playing in the cabinet. It takes a lot of time to complete a repair.

  • Hopefully I will get it in the cabinet in two months. Still have stuff to do as per video number 15. PS I learned a LOT form your videos. Even "it's not over 'till it's over"! Thanks!

  • I think this is still the agreed on explanation. Try Wikipedia and some of the links they show.
