In Argentina they even use savory fillings as chicken salad, tuna salad, etc. In Venezuela they use a citric filling like passion fruit jelly and cover with merengue, so yummy!
I just finished making this, it's just setting in the fridge. My egg whites became massive and in turn made the mixture massive but it just needed to be cooked for a bit longer and it was fine :)
That is a BOSCH MUM5 Mixer. A very good mixer indeed....Better then a Kitchen Aid IMHO, with the big daddy MUM8 having 1400 Watts of power...Its a Bread making demon. Hard to find in the USA ...but they are top-shelf, and worth the look.

@meny03 I found the same one on eBay (~$300 US. You have to use a good V. converter.) It is a brilliant design- no scraping down the bowl!
