It wasn't that the steelers cheated in the Superbowl. There were just an abnormal amount of calls against the Hawks that day by the refs. Sure it sucks, but it wasn't the Steelers fault.

Admittedly the Steelers probably would have won the game anyway, but it's a shame that the refs injected some question into it.

I think you missed the entire point of my post 3 weeks ago. The Steelers did nothing wrong. It was all on the refs blowing several calls in the game.

Those things usually end up evening out over the course of the season, but are alot more lopsided looking in a huge game like that.

This is coming from a diehard Hawks fan, but no, I don't think the Steelers cheated. No, I don't think the refs conspired to tilt the game. I think believing otherwise is naive, especially without proof.

You don't need to do that. I taped it. I've watched it (painfully). The "illegal block in the back" by Hass after the INT was BS, the ticky-tack Pass interference on D-Jack, the phantom hold on our right tackle or guard nullifying the TD strike before the INT (on Locklear?). Rothlisburger's "TD" run. I think one more I'm forgetting off hand.

That's a number of bad calls, but none of it points to the Steelers cheating. Just blown calls. They happen. Not collusion.

Now, now... let's not get too testy. I do remember that the one of the refs was from Pittsburgh. It was the back judge (hence not the main ref). Also, Pittsburgh would not have the ability to recommend refs/judges making that a totally invalid point. I don't really want to argue something so far in the past, but I really wanted in inject some truth into this.

Yep, the Steelers cheated when Jeremy Stephonson caught the ball, ran three steps, got hit and lost the ball. The Steelers tried to recover it but the refs immediatly blew the play dead stopping any chance at a Pittsburgh recovery or challenge. I want to see Hawk fans pull a hissy fit over this horrible play call.

2. The call on the field was Ben scored. It was reviewed and confirmed the call was correct. Why are you exaggerating where Ben was at on the field when he scored his td? The refs have no reason to cheat for any team but you have a reason for living in denial. You think it will ease the pain but its only making it worse.

Okay, lets look back to the AFC Divisional round of the playoffs leading up to Super Bowl 40. Its Steelers V. Colts. The league admitts to one of the worst replay reversals of all-time screwed the Steelers out of an INT. Many other calls went against the Steelers, but NONE for them. Steelers still won.

I would suggest you rewatch that tape. I also have the DVD of that game and there was an official review......You are in DENIAL!

Instead of accepting a loss you blame the refs. Thats the easy thing to do. When an untouched Titans kicker admitted to acting out falling over so the refs would wrongly throw the flag -causing the Steelers to lose a playoff game - yeah Steelers and their fans were mad, but we got over it and moved on. The Colts shouldn't have even had possesion of the ball if Polamalu's second wrongly over turned INT of the game would have stood.

The league admitted both Polamlu INTs were bad calls and the 4th and 1 offsides. Both against the Steelers. I hear no Colt player or fan complaining about interference. The league didn't determine it was a bad call.

Don't say that Colts game was an evenly called game. Unless, of course, you want to lie.

That Polamalu INT wasn't just it. Colts jump offsides an 4th and1 and the ref picked up the flag and said no foul occurred. There was an another Troy INT earlier in the game wrongly overturned. Randle El was tackled 35 yards down field, no call... Watch the video "To all you delusional Steeler haters who blame the refs..." it contains 3 or 4 bad calls against the Steelers from that game alone. Although, there were two more from that game off the top off my head that video doesn't include.
