I lived in Nurnberg on Beim Gronacker near the Tiergarten. I love this city!!!! My heart beats German!!!!!!!!

I lived in Nurenberg from about the age of 2 to the age of 15 (in the 80's). When we returned to the U.S., I think I forgot to pack my heart and bring it home too.

TheBarret. If youwere in Bamber, then you know what the Schlenkerla is?! They have the best smoked beer. They have been brewing it since1678. They have great food as well!

Greus Gott is what you get for a greeting in Nurenberg. Sort of means God Bless You in English. The U is soposed to have the umlaut. but I don't know how to do that with an English Keyboard?

By the way it's Kristkidle Markt! just kidding. I tried to send you an e mail, but was rejected. I still have family there from my moms side. I'm trying to get dual citizenship. Love it! Watching this makes me homesick! I grew up there. Been to the Mrkt many times. I have a tchwechger man in my china cabinet. They have many delicious things there to eat! I went to visit in 2009. Was wonderful to see old Nurenberg again. I did not want to come back to the US. I was born in Furth in 1950.

I don't have many mementos if my time in Germany. That's why I try to visit each year, and I always stop in Nürnberg. I can hardly wait until my grandchildren are old enough to appreciate the Christkindlesmarkt. Thanks for your comments. D

Lived in Bamberg from Feb. 82 to Nov. 84 and some of my absolute best memories are of Bavaria including Nurnberg. Mom and Dad are both gone and would love a Christmas in Germany again, and as ARCHER0078 said KINDEREGGS ARE AWESOME!!!
