@thirdeaglebooks That does not, however, change the fact that God seems to blatantly contradict himself quite a lot. What is it that makes you so sure the words printed in the Bible - which were, I'd like to remind you, written hundreds of years after the purported death of Christ - are indeed the word of God rather than part of one of the biggest schemes in history?

If Mary would have had the choice to go to an abortion clinic, i would think she would have gone through with it. After all the father was a raping genocidal narcisistick mad man.
And jesus would be spared the whole human sacrifice thing, and could just solely and peacefully die for our sins right there in the womb.
And instead of a cross, Christians today could walk around with a uterine currette or a manual vaccum aspiration, around their neck.
how did you get all this knowledge, did aliens come and breed it into your ancestors? And if so, how did they do it, millions of people around the world believe that aliens came to shape our history and if so, what was their mission?
@deltaWAVEnightmare You are right. But at the time there was such a thing such as Christendom where being Catholic was so conformist that it was paranoid. Thankfully the Church has recognized its' error and no longer thinks that way, not to mention we've experienced the end of Christendom a long time ago. The Church still in existence is proof of the Holy Spirit protecting it. That said- life begins at conception and abortion is murder.
@deltaWAVEnightmare It's amazing to me that you are more concerned about something that happened 500 years ago than the 1000 babies that Planned Parenthood aborts each and every day. And, how about all those Catholic priests that King Henry Vlll had hung, drawn and quartered? God will pour out his wrath on America because of abortion, not because of the 16th century wars between Catholics and Protestants.
Why are you upset at Planned Parenthood? Aren't these babies in heaven now? Their mothers make the ultimate sacrifice - their own souls for their babies' eternal salvation!
@thirdeaglebooks Indeed I could. Does God not order killing many times in the bible?
Your response does not address my point, however. Are those babies in heaven now or not? If they are in heaven, what's the problem? If the mothers and doctors request forgiveness from God sincerely, they can go to heaven also?
@Scrantonman95 You're comparing these little babies' eternal souls to mouthwash? My point is that they are in heaven with jesus now. What more could you want for them?
@flintp51 Why does my point not deserve a response? Did Jesus not talk to people who came to him?
No one has answered my question - are the babies in heaven or not? What is your ultimate goal - that people are saved and spend eternity in heaven or that your idea of right and wrong is imposed here on earth? Earth is a temporary stop on the journey to eternity anyway - why subject someone to life here when eternal joy awaits them on high?
@thirdeaglebooks First of all, no it won't. People have been warning of god's wrath for thousands of years and it still hasn't happened. Second, some abortions save lives. You'd rather both woman and baby died than saving one?
@Scrantonman95 ...you presume to know god's reason for the baby? how do you know that the baby isn't meant to provide an experience at planned parenthood for the mother that will teach her an important lesson for later in her life? Does god not know everything that has happened or will happen? Clearly nothing can happen that is not part of god's plan, else god can be surprised and there is no plan.
@arrdeee the problem you have is all this rationalizing to try to make you feel better about yourself for what youdo. I wonder how you would rationalize a mass murderer being not guilty. I 'm sure you could come up with something.
@7archers How do you know what I do? You know absolutely nothing about me except what you may have guessed from a few comments on a website. I'm not trying to rationalize anything. I'm trying to find out how someone reconciles sending babies to heaven with offending god. for that matter, I wonder how god feels about people assuming they know his will for everyone who enters a planned parenthood clinic - that seems arrogant.
@7archers Your comment about a mass murderer being not guilty reminded me of a book by Dave Eagleman (waaay off topic here) where he discusses brain illnesses that cause people to commit crimes. An example I have heard of is Charles Whitman who shot people from the University of Texas clock tower in the 1960's. He was shot at the crime scene, but per his request in a suicide note an autopsy was performed, and a brain tumor was discovered that probably caused his behavior - not his fault then.
@arrdeee Further, the parent is only the STEWARD of that child. NOT the owner for the child will grow up and move out of the house spending the majority of life away from his/her parents. The mother has no more right to kill that baby any more than the father does!
@Scrantonman95 god ordered Abraham to kill Isaac as an act of faith. Only an angel stayed his hand. How do you know these women have not heard the voice of god in a similar fashion?
@arrdeee the problem you have with this argument is the fact that God can resurrect Isaac. The doctor can not. God could have resurrected Isaac to fulfill His promise to Abraham.
@Scrantonman95 ...to another point, what about children who are born with birth defects so severe that they live a long life dependent on everyone else around them, starting with their parents? I know of a couple who gave birth to a child with severe Down's, then decided to have another child to care for the first when the parents died.
They planned their second child's life and responsibilities before she had even been conceived!
@arrdeee So, are you saying because of a bad decision on their part, ( if it is a bad decision) it is better to murder? when you start turning things into situational ethics you can make almost anything seem alright.
@7archers No I am trying to point out that there are consequences other than just your offended sensibilities to consider. My comment is an example of which i have personal knowledge.
regarding situational ethics, are there absolutely no circumstances in which an abortion is warranted? the 9-year--old girl in brazil who was raped and impregnated by her step-father? a woman whose life is endangered by carrying a baby to term?
I sit not in the seat of the scornful but delight in the laws of the Lord yet I am sure that of all your knowledge you must know that wreaths and holly and the whole christmas celebration is and abomination to God as he commands follow not the way of the heathen. Jeremiah 10
@GSRJosh33 It is well known that the Catholic Church converted the pagan societies of the world by adopting their harmless traditions, like Christmas trees, and abolishing their harmful traditions, like human sacrifice and cannibalism. As a result, we now have Christmas trees but no human sacrifice. I don't consider that such a bad trade off. But, if you really want to attack evil, instead of the Church, why don't you take on Planned Parenthood, where they STILL practice human sacrifice!
@thirdeaglebooks If it's human 'sacrifice', what are the mothers getting in return? What god are they trying to appease? Or are you claiming anyone who gets an abortion is a satanist or doing it for some cult reason?
@thirdeaglebooks Because apparently there's no such thing as painful hereditary diseases, rape victims, or even meth addicts who's children would be in pain worse than death could ever.
@Soflne There are many people live today who were conceived under the same or worse circumstances than you describe. Are you saying we should kill them?
2/10. You're singing way out of your range, your voice is barely passable for singing in general, and I don't even know what you were trying to do with that keyboard. Seriously, the keyboard backing of the song sounded like creepy funhouse music. Absolutely dreadful.
@musettesf Abortion dehumanizes women. As a long time sidewalk counselor I can assure you, 90 per cent of women would carry their child to term if they had the support of a husband, boy friend, father and sometimes, even a grand father.
@Frickitall: Sex is only dehumanizing if it's rape or porn. And what about people who can't have children? Should they just be celibate their whole lives?
@zperra Sex is a promise. It isn't just 2 people in passion. It has a physical, spiritual, emotional and psychological connection as well by design because these two people are promising not just to each other but to the life that comes from that union of passion. ANY sex that fails to see that reality is degrading! Including masturbation. A man and a woman who cannot have a child is a tragedy. They don't have to be celibate but every sexual act has to be done open to human life.
@zperra Maybe people should value human life and realize that a landfill is no proper final resting place.
Maybe people should realize that the 17 women who "freed" themselves from an unwanted baby should really be asking themselves what did they free themselves from? An outward giving of themselves in a complete and loving way?? The ONLY way in the end that we truly save ourselves!
@zperra Rape and porn are an example of the animal nature we are evolving from. . . the human animal. If one desires to be intrigued by these things then it is also a decision to regress into the animal nature of the human psyche and further from an evolved human being.
@musettesf Women, like men, have an intellect and a will. They can "choose" to keep their pants on.
If they don't and the woman is pregnant: Congratulations, MOM!!
Because the lives, hopes, dreams, wishes, aspirations, careers and educations of those babies: 40 something MILLION of them in our nations landfills mean NOTHING to you!! I want women-- as well as men to recognize and respect life!
@musettesf You're right. And these are the people who want to use abortion as birth control. Men who just want to "get off" without having to commit to being a father because the woman doesn't have to commit to being a mother. The child's life is worthless, the woman's love is worthless, if there is any at all and the man never loved at all. Just animals acting on instinct who can't be bothered with the promises the sexual act demands.
@musettesf In Nazi Germany, murdering Jews was 100% legal and the gov't was 100% entitled to round them up and gas them. At one time in our country slavery was 100% legal and US Citizens were 100% entitled to avail themselves of their services and products.
All you have to do is open your eyes and see for yourself what happens at conception that it is truly and undeniably the start of a human life and that abortion is the intentional taking of that life.
@musettesf I pray for you. I pray for all babies who are in danger in a place that should be the safest place on earth: The mother's womb. You want to see property and livestock?? Go to the ghetto where abortions are prevalent. Where the rap songs encourage men to "f--- and flee". Leaving women hopelessly unloved and confused forcing them to make this dreadful decision. That's freedom? That's Constitution? On what planet? Cherish human life in ALL stages. That's true freedom!
@musettesf You don't have to put a space between G and D to show respect for "God." I am assume you are Jewish? I am not familiar with all his teachings. I think he is very bold and I do respect him for that. Can you give examples of your concerns?
@musettesf . Please understand that Planned parenthood does good things as well, but so do the people in jail for murder. It does not make it right. The organization as a whole is in error and was started by a ugeneist who did not favor blacks. Adoption seems so much more human. I know of many children that were not aborted who have made more of an impact on many more lives. I also know many women who have had abortions who regret it. Better to error on the side of lifeand not be so selfish.
@musettesf Margaret Sanger was a racist who wanted to see poor minorities have the most abortions.
Constitutional rights of a woman who has to be "inconvenienced" for 9 months to prevent a baby from being stabbed to death??? Yeah! It's worth it! As much as the "inconvenience" it was to invade Normandy to liberate the concentration camps!!
Liberalism 101- Call people names, then distract from the main issue. Sanger embraced Malthusian eugenics and was the inspiration for Hitler's Aryan race. Google "Sanger eugenics" Read her writings and pamphlets on the subject. She even met with the KKK. I never said abortion should be illegal. Don't put words in my mouth. Your so full of hate you can't even read straight. Please don't bother getting back to me as your not going to learn anything.
@musettesf Murder is the deliberate killing of an innocent human being. All four aspects of abortion fit the definition. An unborn baby is human, it is innocent, abortion kills this human and the killing is deliberate. God's wrath will come to America for legalizing this brutal and barbaric form of human sacrifice.
@musettesf I'm not surprised you call unborn babies "zygotes", "blastocysts" or "fetuses". It's so much easier to take a human life when you dehumanize the victim. Hither did the same when he referred to Jews as "untermenschen". I still remember the family type movies Hollywood used to make and there was always the heart warming scene where the pregnant wife would tell her husband "I can feel the baby moving". She NEVER said, I can feel the "zygote" moving, or I can feel the "fetus" moving.
Would you prefer said children are born and go through horrible lives with mothers that don't want them, or have to live in an orphanage? You probably wouldn't know, but those children usually have bad lives.
@Rainneychan That is not for you or I to judge. Would it not be better to make it legal to kill homeless people?? Well why not?? They live so-called "horrible lives", don't they??
People are gifts from God. Parents are only temporary stewards of them and have no right to kill them any more than you and I can kill somebody we think is living a "horrible life".
Wow Mr Tapley I noticed a lot of people in need of repentance. I pray for these people who say that a fetus is not living. Try saying that to God who creates it. It will be better for a milestone to be hung around their necks than to know what will happen to these people who engage in this and say that its ok. I will be praying definite Mr Tapley and thanks!
@jesusinspiration As a pro-abortion Catholic, I'm happy to pray for you too! Hopefully God will give you more compassion, understanding, and help you improve your writing skills!
Ever heard of a roofer afraid of heights? Or a veterinarian afraid of animals?
It's impossible.
Read Pope Paul VI encyclical "Humanae Vitae". Having an abortion or even advising abortion is an excommunicable offense. Stop being a heretic. Put your helmet on and get in the game!!
I do, I go to church, and I believe that abortion is not wrong. If you would like to write to my priest and get me excomunicated, go ahead. But I know that things are fine between God and myself, thanks.
@nessalish I don't need to do anything. You are excommunicated by the fact in and of itself if you are telling others it's ok to have an abortion in the face of solid Church doctrine!
You must repent of this. Otherwise you're a Catholic in as much as a vegetarian who eats hamburgers everyday.
@nessalish When the Pope speaks Ex Cathedra in an encyclical he's not writing an opinion. He's teaching Church doctrine from the authority that was given to him by Christ Himself through St. Peter our first Pope. It is YOUR religious doctrine that is seriously flawed. Repent.
@musettesf What's "it" in brief is that the Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches that abortion is "Intrinsically evil". There is no asterisk, no ifs, ands or buts after that statement.
You'd be better off not calling yourself a Catholic than to continue to teach Church doctrine in grave error.
@nessalish I really dont care if I have bad writing skills. God wont say to me on that day Eric how dare you have bad writing skills I could not use you. There is nothing greater to do than to hear and obey the voice of God. Much could be said about the means of hearing but I would suggest the article, "Finding Peace Of Mind
So how many of those women who left Planned Parenthood were actually crying because of an abortion, and how many were crying because they'd been diagnosed with an STI or breast cancer? Most of Planned Parenthood's work centres around basic medical services for women, after all- abortion's only a small part of what they do.
@thirdeaglebooks Just how dense are you? Abortion only consists of a fraction of a percentage of the services that PP renders. The vast majority of what they perform is preventative care for underprivileged women. I drove my girlfriend who was generally uninsurable due to a still undiagnosed condition there to receive, get this, a check up!
Admit it... You know nothing about PP except what you've been spoon fed by people of your rank and file with an chip on your shoulder and an axe to grind.
@machinesbreathe Abortion is murder and Planned Parenthood has the most kills under their belt-- regardless of what other services they provide! Spare us. It would be like somebody saying the only thing you know about German Concentration Camps you read in hateful history books.
@Scrantonman95 How hard is a fraction of a percent for your feeble mind to understand.
They prevent surpassingly more abortions than the scant few that they perform, on the rare occasion that they do. Your efforts are misguided and you are barking up the wrong tree.
What might be your thoughts be on war? Turn the other cheek or kill 'em all? All is fair just as long as they are not Christians right? I believe in Christ, he is good and merciful. Your interpretation is twisted and malevolent.
@Scrantonman95 I might also add that you spare me your blanket statements. Your lack of information in the face of your indoctrination is quite telling. Ever heard of Godwin's Law? You've lost already. I'm done with you, amateur.
So, I really want to know: how do you feel about women who were raped and impregnated by their rapists getting abortions? Or women who have abusive husbands who've impregnated them getting abortions? I honestly want to know.
@thirdeaglebooks That doesn't really tell us what your views are, you're sort of leaving it there for us to guess. What are we supposed to infer from that?
@trixiblue You can't seriously tell me that only women who are raped get abortions. The majority of abortions are done by women who are not responsible enough for a child. It is not the childs fault. It is the woman's and the mans fault. Believing in abortions is purely for convinience at most cases. People need to know how to keep their sexual urges in place and not be making babies here and there for they can not provide care for.
17 women are no longer trapped in an unwanted pregnancy.
17 women exercised their human, civil and Constitutional rights as autonomous, free US citizens.
Tapley is mourning the FACT that vicious, venal people who stalk and harass women, attempting to prevent them from exercising their civil, human and Constitutional rights, were unsuccessful in their un-American activities. To which I say, HOORAY! We MUST protect the freedom of female US citizens to CHOOSE.
@musettesf The only FACT is that abortion is murder. The scientific FACT is that life begins at conception.
Pro choicers don't accept that or any other answer to when life begins otherwise the abortion industry will shut down immediately. Kinda like Phillip Morris and cancer's connection to cigarrettes. FACT: 17 women's consciences won't allow them to live with the LIE that they did something civil, human and constitutional.
@Scrantonman95 If life begins at conception, then there's a whole lot of self-slaughter going on there. 1/3 of fertilised eggs fails to implant or develop, and after that, 1/5 of pregnancies end in miscarriage or stillbirth.
Also, if abortion is murder, then why doesn't the Bible give the same penalty for killing an fetus as for killing its mother?
@Scrantonman95 Not according to the Bible it's not. If you hurt a pregnant woman and she loses the baby, then according to Old Testament Law the punishment is the same as if you'd hurt her limbs. If you kill -her-, then it's murder.
@aimsme We've moved from the Old Testament to the New Testament- The Church and to the Pope who has the authority from Christ Himself to teach doctrine. It's intrinsically evil.
@Scrantonman95 Actually, only the Catholics have moved to the Pope. The rest of us stick to the Bible, where, guess what? Abortion is never actually prohibited. Nice try though.
@aimsme Jesus set up His Church THROUGH the Pope. And gave the Pope the keys to heaven. If you truly follwed the Bible, you'd follow the Pope as well considering the Church always had a Pope but didn't get have a Bible until 367 AD.
@Scrantonman95 Erm, no He didn't. He set up his Church through His disciples. He never said 'go move to Rome and become intensely bureaucratic and develop a frankly ridiculous power structure, and while you're at it, feel free to cover up rampant child abuse'.
@aimsme Erm, yes he did. Read Matthew 16:18 and don't post again until you do. That way I don't have to keep correcting you and typing the same things over and over.
@Scrantonman95 So... because Peter founded the Church, the Pope's word is better than that of the Bible? I'm sorry, but no. Jesus did not make him Pope. You may believe he did, but that is your interpretation of the text, not mine.
(And can you not see the irony in saying that the Bible is fallible, and then using a Biblical verse to prove it?)
@aimsme Jesus DID make him Pope. The mere fact that you read the Bible is proof of that! Where do you think the Bible came from?? It fell out the sky?? It came from--- THE CHURCH!! And all of the councils it had up to 367 AD when the canon of books was approved! THE CHURCH is the ONLY organization that has the authority to interpret that book!! The Bible is not falllible. It is YOU, sir, who is interpreting the Bible wrongly.
And I never said the Bible 'fell out of the sky'. But I don't exactly think it was written by popes, nor that the CATHOLIC church is the only one with the authority to interpret the word of God. It is made up of a collection of writings by diverse authors- and I'm looking into the texts that were left out, believe me.
Ultimately, though, what you are advocating is the restriction of the word of God to one huge, corrupt organisation; exactly what Jesus hated most.
@aimsme Umm, TWO of the books of the New Testament were written by PETER. These were the first encyclicals! The fact of the matter is this: The Church is the ONLY authority on the Bible. If you don't believe me, just count all of the protestant demoninations. They number in the tens of thousands. Which one is right?? It must be the original considering how young the protestant movement is! It's less than 500 years old!
@Scrantonman95 Who says any of them are 'right'? Who says faith has to be based on what denomination you're part of? Did Jesus say 'when two or more people gather in a church of this kind, there shall I present myself'? No. He just said to gather in His name. I am neither Protestant, nor Catholic, nor anything else. I am a follower of Christ.
@aimsme Can I eat hamburgers and call myself a vegetarian? This is why there is only 1 true Church. These other denominations are teaching Christ to some degree of error simply because they reject the Pope-- an intrinsical part of Christ's plan. When you look into rejected books just remember the Bible is a book of witnesses-- not PhD! The books were looked at for corroboration of the other books and loyalty to the true teachings of Christ handed down by the Apostles.
@Scrantonman95 Fact ~ abortion is not murder. Murder is the illegal killing of another human being. Abortion is both legal and does not involve killing a human being. Hence the reason people are not arrested for murder for their involvement in abortion
Life began long before conception, millions of years ago and has never stopped. Don't confuse 'life' with 'human being'. Just because something is alive does not make it a human being.
Isn't 'bearing false witness' a sin in your religion?
@musettesf 17 Got their life back? How many end up in counselling for help from their depression for what they have done? 17 women no longer trapped ion a unwanted Pregnancy? Are you aware of the time line it takes for a couple to adopt? NO baby is unwanted. constitutional Right? Where in the constitution? the right to kill? Judges may now legislate since the congress has abdicated that rule to them, but the constitution? I don't think so.
@7archers they probably need counseling because crazy ass pro-lifers guilt trip them and call them murderers for terminating a pregnancy. makes me sick seeing people outside a planned-parenthood trying to guilt trip everyone who wants in...even if they're not going for an abortion. happened to me. abortion is already a hard decision to make for some women. they don't need people standing outside a clinic telling them they're going to hell for it.

Hi Mr. Tapley.
Based on your videos, I presume that you generally interpret the Bible literally. Thus, I have a few questions:
One of the ten commandments is "thou shalt not kill."
In Luke 19.27, Jesus says, "But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them--bring them here and kill them in front of me"
And from 2 Chronicals 15.13 - "
Whosoever would not seek the LORD God of Israel should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman."
Thoughts?

No one has answered my question - are the babies in heaven or not? What is your ultimate goal - that people are saved and spend eternity in heaven or that your idea of right and wrong is imposed here on earth? Earth is a temporary stop on the journey to eternity anyway - why subject someone to life here when eternal joy awaits them on high?
arrdeee 2 months ago
@thirdeaglebooks First of all, no it won't. People have been warning of god's wrath for thousands of years and it still hasn't happened. Second, some abortions save lives. You'd rather both woman and baby died than saving one?
mrcheese80 2 months ago
@arrdeee The mouthwash has a job to do. So does the baby. The reason why the baby was sent into this world in the first place.
Scrantonman95 2 months ago
@Scrantonman95 ...you presume to know god's reason for the baby? how do you know that the baby isn't meant to provide an experience at planned parenthood for the mother that will teach her an important lesson for later in her life? Does god not know everything that has happened or will happen? Clearly nothing can happen that is not part of god's plan, else god can be surprised and there is no plan.
arrdeee 2 months ago
@arrdeee the problem you have is all this rationalizing to try to make you feel better about yourself for what youdo. I wonder how you would rationalize a mass murderer being not guilty. I 'm sure you could come up with something.
7archers 2 months ago
@7archers How do you know what I do? You know absolutely nothing about me except what you may have guessed from a few comments on a website. I'm not trying to rationalize anything. I'm trying to find out how someone reconciles sending babies to heaven with offending god. for that matter, I wonder how god feels about people assuming they know his will for everyone who enters a planned parenthood clinic - that seems arrogant.
arrdeee 2 months ago
@7archers Your comment about a mass murderer being not guilty reminded me of a book by Dave Eagleman (waaay off topic here) where he discusses brain illnesses that cause people to commit crimes. An example I have heard of is Charles Whitman who shot people from the University of Texas clock tower in the 1960's. He was shot at the crime scene, but per his request in a suicide note an autopsy was performed, and a brain tumor was discovered that probably caused his behavior - not his fault then.
arrdeee 2 months ago
@arrdeee Further, the parent is only the STEWARD of that child. NOT the owner for the child will grow up and move out of the house spending the majority of life away from his/her parents. The mother has no more right to kill that baby any more than the father does!
Scrantonman95 2 months ago
@Scrantonman95 god ordered Abraham to kill Isaac as an act of faith. Only an angel stayed his hand. How do you know these women have not heard the voice of god in a similar fashion?
arrdeee 2 months ago
@arrdeee the problem you have with this argument is the fact that God can resurrect Isaac. The doctor can not. God could have resurrected Isaac to fulfill His promise to Abraham.
7archers 2 months ago
@7archers then god could resurrect the babies
arrdeee 2 months ago
@Scrantonman95 ...to another point, what about children who are born with birth defects so severe that they live a long life dependent on everyone else around them, starting with their parents? I know of a couple who gave birth to a child with severe Down's, then decided to have another child to care for the first when the parents died.
They planned their second child's life and responsibilities before she had even been conceived!
arrdeee 2 months ago
@arrdeee So, are you saying because of a bad decision on their part, ( if it is a bad decision) it is better to murder? when you start turning things into situational ethics you can make almost anything seem alright.
7archers 2 months ago
@7archers No I am trying to point out that there are consequences other than just your offended sensibilities to consider. My comment is an example of which i have personal knowledge.
regarding situational ethics, are there absolutely no circumstances in which an abortion is warranted? the 9-year--old girl in brazil who was raped and impregnated by her step-father? a woman whose life is endangered by carrying a baby to term?

GSRJosh33 2 months ago
@GSRJosh33 It is well known that the Catholic Church converted the pagan societies of the world by adopting their harmless traditions, like Christmas trees, and abolishing their harmful traditions, like human sacrifice and cannibalism. As a result, we now have Christmas trees but no human sacrifice. I don't consider that such a bad trade off. But, if you really want to attack evil, instead of the Church, why don't you take on Planned Parenthood, where they STILL practice human sacrifice!
thirdeaglebooks 2 months ago
@thirdeaglebooks The first Christmas tree was a gift from Prince Albert to Queen Victoria in the 1800s....
MrsKatmus 2 months ago

zperra 3 months ago
@zperra Sex is a promise. It isn't just 2 people in passion. It has a physical, spiritual, emotional and psychological connection as well by design because these two people are promising not just to each other but to the life that comes from that union of passion. ANY sex that fails to see that reality is degrading! Including masturbation. A man and a woman who cannot have a child is a tragedy. They don't have to be celibate but every sexual act has to be done open to human life.

@musettesf You're right. And these are the people who want to use abortion as birth control. Men who just want to "get off" without having to commit to being a father because the woman doesn't have to commit to being a mother. All you have to do is open your eyes and see for yourself what happens at conception that it is truly and undeniably the start of a human life and that abortion is the intentional taking of that life.

@musettesf . Please understand that Planned parenthood does good things as well, but so do the people in jail for murder. It does not make it right. I still remember the family type movies Hollywood used to make and there was always the heart warming scene where the pregnant wife would tell her husband "I can feel the baby moving".
Scrantonman95 3 months ago
@Scrantonman95 If life begins at conception, then there's a whole lot of self-slaughter going on there. 1/3 of fertilised eggs fails to implant or develop, and after that, 1/5 of pregnancies end in miscarriage or stillbirth.
Also, if abortion is murder, then why doesn't the Bible give the same penalty for killing an fetus as for killing its mother?

@Scrantonman95 In fact, no, 2/3 of all fertilised eggs fail to implant. My bad. :)

@Scrantonman95 Not according to the Bible it's not. If you hurt a pregnant woman and she loses the baby, then according to Old Testament Law the punishment is the same as if you'd hurt her limbs. If you kill -her-, then it's murder.

Scrantonman95 3 months ago
@Scrantonman95 Erm, no He didn't. He set up his Church through His disciples. He never said 'go move to Rome and become intensely bureaucratic and develop a frankly ridiculous power structure, and while you're at it, feel free to cover up rampant child abuse'.

@Scrantonman95 So... because Peter founded the Church, the Pope's word is better than that of the Bible? I'm sorry, but no. Jesus did not make him Pope. You may believe he did, but that is your interpretation of the text, not mine.
(And can you not see the irony in saying that the Bible is fallible, and then using a Biblical verse to prove it?)
aimsme 3 months ago
@aimsme Jesus DID make him Pope. The mere fact that you read the Bible is proof of that! Where do you think the Bible came from?? It fell out the sky?? It came from--- THE CHURCH!! And all of the councils it had up to 367 AD when the canon of books was approved! THE CHURCH is the ONLY organization that has the authority to interpret that book!! The Bible is not falllible. It is YOU, sir, who is interpreting the Bible wrongly.
Scrantonman95 3 months ago
@Scrantonman95 *ma'am
Ultimately, though, what you are advocating is the restriction of the word of God to one huge, corrupt organisation; exactly what Jesus hated most.
aimsme 3 months ago
@aimsme Umm, TWO of the books of the New Testament were written by PETER. These were the first encyclicals! The fact of the matter is this: The Church is the ONLY authority on the Bible. If you don't believe me, just count all of the protestant demoninations. They number in the tens of thousands. Which one is right?? It must be the original considering how young the protestant movement is! It's less than 500 years old!
Scrantonman95 3 months ago
@Scrantonman95 Who says any of them are 'right'? Who says faith has to be based on what denomination you're part of? Did Jesus say 'when two or more people gather in a church of this kind, there shall I present myself'? No. He just said to gather in His name. I am neither Protestant, nor Catholic, nor anything else. I am a follower of Christ.
aimsme 3 months ago
@aimsme Can I eat hamburgers and call myself a vegetarian? This is why there is only 1 true Church. These other denominations are teaching Christ to some degree of error simply because they reject the Pope-- an intrinsical part of Christ's plan. When you look into rejected books just remember the Bible is a book of witnesses-- not PhD! The books were looked at for corroboration of the other books and loyalty to the true teachings of Christ handed down by the Apostles.

tvol319 2 months ago
@Scrantonman95 Fact ~ abortion is not murder. Murder is the illegal killing of another human being. Abortion is both legal and does not involve killing a human being. Hence the reason people are not arrested for murder for their involvement in abortion
Life began long before conception, millions of years ago and has never stopped. Don't confuse 'life' with 'human being'. Just because something is alive does not make it a human being.
Isn't 'bearing false witness' a sin in your religion?
