  • still one of my favorite Youtube video's. Just great!

  • Oh... my... god... That has such a beautiful sound!

  • good hands

  • Nicely done!

  • I love that size guitar. Unless you are playing for a crowd you really don't need a Dreadnought.

  • DONE IT WELL

  • Where'd you find this baby?

  • Does anyone know the name of the first song in the video? If so, who wrote it? Thanks!

  • ohh yeah I really dreaming about guitar like this one...

  • Hi, the guitar is worth around $4000. In really pristine condition, they're worth more, but this one has been 'loved' quite a bit.

    Regards,

    Randy

  • @wideangleman u drunk?

  • How much is this guitar worth?

  • long saddle in a pyramid stick bridge. I am a firm believer in the long saddle

  • how did you come across on of these?

  • you ever think of playing music for movies?

  • are the fret board and bridge new?

  • Wauw, What are the strings?

  • Nice playing on a beautiful axe.

  • What camera did you use to film this? Looks great.

  • @andycambria Hi, I used a Canon 5D MK ii. Thanks,

    Randy

  • Sounds wonderful.

You can build a lot of things into a new guitar - but not age.

    Thanks for uploading.

  • @TerrySleeper you got that right :D

  • you're an amazing player

  • The Rode is a great mic ... very well suited to this piece as it brings out the warmth and dynamic range of the Martin.

  • best guitar demo ever made. pure beauty in every way

  • Hi,

I used extra light gauge steel strings. I think the most important thing is to reduce tension by a tone or a minor third when you're not playing the guitar. I haven't noticed any degradation on any of my parlors following this approach. Also, this is an X braced guitar. I wouldn't risk it on a ladder braced instrument.

    Regards,

    Randy

  • @wideangleman Thanks for the info.

  • @wideangleman I play guitar for more than 40 years and I have never had problems with strings of medium gauge even if I let my guitar in a corner for over 2 months

  • Hi, extra light gauge steel strings.

  • @wideangleman How do you get away with the steel strings on a guitar that was not braced for them ? Has it been reinforced during the restoration or is it just the fact that they are extra light gauge ? Thanks. Incredible tone.

  • @wideangleman Sounds fantastic! What's the make and gauge of the strings? I've got some old parlors I'd love to put steels on, but I want to makes sure I'm not going to blow them up!

  • Are those gut, steel or nylon strings?

  • @12001166

Joke you probably? It is obvious yet, that it steel strings.

  • What is its value?

  • Superb in every way. Just superb.

  • Hi, what is the tuning? DAdgad? Really interesting guitar and playing. Great camera work!

  • Hi, what is the tuning? DAdgad?

    Regards,

    Randy
