  • I saw The Nazz, The Litter, & Procol Harum @ Kiel Opera House, St. Louis, 1969, & of course had to run right out & buy the red album. Regards, '62 Mathew St. (Total Retro Rock)

  • Thanks for posting.. Nazz, a great band.. Todd Rundgren, Thom Mooney, Stewkey Antoni and Carson Van Osten ...loved them since 1968.

  • i have the red album

  • WOW , clearly a GEM from the 60's, let's find more !!

  • Anyone who likes this should check out Gladhands' version. It is on their cd titled 'La Di Da', released in '97. You won't be disappointed!

  • The Drummer is Thom Mooney!! From Altoona , Pa..

  • Todd is a musical genius almost as good as Syd Barrett.

  • epitome of anachronistic

  • I have this original pressing on red vinyl. One of the most overlooked bands. Of course the 60's spat out Todd Rundgren into the 70's Kava Kava drink, which gave us many great albums, but man, the drumming alone on here is phenomenal! Give Keith Moon a run for his money.

  • @jagfug Agreed. Thom Mooney was freakin amazing. What happened after he left Cheap Trick, anyone know? He is always welcome in my band in NYC ha ha.

  • @j0eX What did he have to do with Cheap Trick?

  • @j0eX Still plays drums .. I'm friends with him on facebook, you can friend him too.. great guy ;)

  • 30 years old this song & actuality comedy is no bad by this moments :-) - that make this song for long time good ... ;-)

  • simply awesome! thanks. eff modern music.

  • I saw The Nazz & The Litter front for Procol Harum @ Kiel Opera House in St. Louis about 1969 - then of course I had to buy the Nazz & Procol Harum's albums. I never found The Litter's album. Nice audio/video-thanks! Regards, '62 Mathew St. (Total Retro Rock)

  • forget it all about it it a while ....till i saw the wedding grasp!.....sure she did not forget that day!....LOL

  • Rundgren was an expert at using Ronnie Spector's "wall of sound" when he was with NAZZ...killer band, a high school favorite at my school back then !!!

  • Coopers bigger earlier band was the Spiders...from Phoenix...great post this by the way...

  • Cooper's biggest early band was The Spiders, from Phoenix, Az...the Nazz of fame came from Philly...and could smoke

  • Nazz Nazz, their 2d album, should be in everyone's collection. Stellar stuff, written by a 20 year old Todd Rundgren.

  • Nothing like The Nazz.

  • great jangly 60's sound

  • excelente !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember listening to this when I was my son's age (13) and being totally exhilirated by it. Stlll works 100 years later.

  • i heard this for the first time today, i liked it a lot, by the way i am 42 years old, but i am a musician and music lover. i never stop looking for something i never heard before, this was found on xm radio's deep tracks channel 40.

  • @nostikskull : )

  • Sublime.

  • so old so fresh - i forget "new sound" ;-)

  • The intro is really interesting, The Cowsills have something similar to that sound in their 'Anything Changes'.

  • Nice throwback reference, I had never heard of those guys and they sound great. The intro of this song reminds me a lot of Stereolab

  • ストレンジ・アトラクターから御大のダース・ベイダー変形。

    サウンドトラック:Nazz

    センスありすぎ。

  • i like the part when the guy hits the computer i think it captures the "rundgren aesthetic" aka INTERNATIONAL FEEL

  • is this really from 1969? It sounds like Stereolab or some other late 90's early 2000's retro-themed band. This is really amazing. If the lyrics were more non-sensical I'd be positive this was made in the last 10 years. ,, also, really freaking awesome!!

  • haha nonsenical? surely stereolab's lyrics can be more nonsensical? have to say this tune is off the best nazz album in my opinion

  • @UnanimousDelivers Great Comment, have to say -Yes, the Music was that Good Then: AND these guys knew there stuff. I thought at first They were from U.K. .Had this Red album and played the Grooves Off. Not a Bad cut to be found.

  • I wanna go surfing

  • love this.

  • i second that Khultan, kind of a weak/dumb vid, but the song rocks. no offense udor1962

  • Post the original video if there was one, b.

  • Got three red vinyl SGC Atco copies for n e three who Love Todd as much as me..

  • how much?

  • Ah and it's my Birthday

    Lord Antony

  • Nazz are inspiring like Buddy Holly and The Kinks.

    Raw, Fun and Talented

  • It's amazing that these kids were producing music at such a high level of sophistication. The execution is a little rough but the ideas are solid.

  • Right out of h.s. Todd copped a lot of riffs, but left them in; rare. Have to be great/secure writer to do that. Moony great jazz chops/ tubuar bells; like all British drummers see Tony Newman "Atomic Rooster one of the most underrated and shortl ived bands.

  • Heather tell Thom I cannot thank him and the rest of the band enough for the joy they brought me as a college student in those crazy days of the late sixties! Nazz forever! Thom is my favourite drummer!

  • udor1962,

My husband (Thom Mooney) and I just watched your " Forget All About It" tribute video and we loved it! Thanks, man! It's great to know that his music still speaks to people. All the best to you.

    Heather Kerr Mooney

  • Rhythm guitar sound and playing is amazing in this

  • still one of my favorite Nazz songs. Wish there was some sort of original footage of this but I guess you cant have it all ;)

    thanks for posting

  • mooney was a great drummer, too.

  • Mega tune, but the vid aint half silly...fun tho!

  • Alice Cooper was in a band called The Nazz but had to change because it was already taken--seems that anyone I like musically to this day has Nazz in common.Great song, thanks for posting.

  • this was a other "Nazz" - first in Arizona - later in L.A.

    This "Nazz" here is a Philadelphia-Band ;-)

  • Yeah, The Nazz in AZ were Alice Cooper!

  • great stuff all around

  • Why did you make it so fucking dumb?

  • what is your probleme brian ???

  • Todd Rundgren was a musical genius.

  • And STILL IZ! TODD IZ GODD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lots of mediocre musicians get the "genius" tag, but Todd REALLY is one. People who don't get that must be 'slow' themselves musically speaking. Thanks for posting this fantastic Nazz tune, and I LIKE the graphics!

  • He is a genius. Todd Rungren spoke at my school when I was studying sound engineering and he was hilarious and weird, I got to ask him a question about his production work with XTC, I don't think he likes to be remembered for Skylarking though.

  • He must LOVE getting Tubes questions then

  • Great Great song by a great great band!
