I saw The Nazz, The Litter, & Procol Harum @ Kiel Opera House, St. Louis, 1969, & of course had to run right out & buy the red album. Regards, '62 Mathew St. (Total Retro Rock)
Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll. Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll
I have this original pressing on red vinyl. One of the most overlooked bands. Of course the 60's spat out Todd Rundgren into the 70's Kava Kava drink, which gave us many great albums, but man, the drumming alone on here is phenomenal! Give Keith Moon a run for his money.
I saw The Nazz & The Litter front for Procol Harum @ Kiel Opera House in St. Louis about 1969 - then of course I had to buy the Nazz & Procol Harum's albums. I never found The Litter's album. Nice audio/video-thanks! Regards, '62 Mathew St. (Total Retro Rock)
Rundgren was an expert at using Ronnie Spector's "wall of sound" when he was with NAZZ...killer band, a high school favorite at my school back then !!!
i heard this for the first time today, i liked it a lot, by the way i am 42 years old, but i am a musician and music lover. i never stop looking for something i never heard before, this was found on xm radio's deep tracks channel 40.
is this really from 1969? It sounds like Stereolab or some other late 90's early 2000's retro-themed band. This is really amazing. If the lyrics were more non-sensical I'd be positive this was made in the last 10 years. ,, also, really freaking awesome!!
@UnanimousDelivers Great Comment, have to say -Yes, the Music was that Good Then: AND these guys knew there stuff. I thought at first They were from U.K. .Had this Red album and played the Grooves Off. Not a Bad cut to be found.
Right out of h.s. Todd copped a lot of riffs, but left them in; rare. Have to be great/secure writer to do that. Moony great jazz chops/ tubuar bells; like all British drummers see Tony Newman "Atomic Rooster one of the most underrated and shortl ived bands.
Heather tell Thom I cannot thank him and the rest of the band enough for the joy they brought me as a college student in those crazy days of the late sixties! Nazz forever! Thom is my favourite drummer!
My husband (Thom Mooney) and I just watched your " Forget All About It" tribute video and we loved it! Thanks, man! It's great to know that his music still speaks to people. All the best to you.
Alice Cooper was in a band called The Nazz but had to change because it was already taken--seems that anyone I like musically to this day has Nazz in common.Great song, thanks for posting.
Lots of mediocre musicians get the "genius" tag, but Todd REALLY is one. People who don't get that must be 'slow' themselves musically speaking. Thanks for posting this fantastic Nazz tune, and I LIKE the graphics!
He is a genius. Todd Rungren spoke at my school when I was studying sound engineering and he was hilarious and weird, I got to ask him a question about his production work with XTC, I don't think he likes to be remembered for Skylarking though.

Nazz Nazz, their 2d album, should be in everyone's collection. Stellar stuff, written by a 20 year old Todd Rundgren.

It's amazing that these kids were producing music at such a high level of sophistication. The execution is a little rough but the ideas are solid.
