i reformated my pc it restarts and shuts down 10x faster than before ..

my prblem is the hard disk was still 80% occupied i lookd at the progrm files and found al the stuffs tht was there before i format my pc was still der ,so i've tried delting the files but still  free spce was very small.. i dlete some and still the free space was very small ... my question is wer can i find those files that is eating up the space of hd the size is 60 the free 18 ,checkd d instlled prgrm found none

You can get to disk defragmenter by right clicking local disc C click properties then click the tools tab, Much easier than your way, especially if you're doing a disk clean up anyway as you are already there.

smt bullshit i always do thats it doesnt help i have 37.2 gb on this comp (i hate this computer...it used to be my dads old working computer so alot of files that needs to go....) and in use is 37 gb 210 mb left......and i cant delete more apps but it will only free up so little space i took some files i can find and deleted them but i only got to 4gb of free space......i need someway to get of this hidden crap on the computer

when you defragment if you click the defragment button it will automatically analyze. also you should have said that when you do disk cleanup you have to make shure that all of the boxes will be checked. you should watch my fixing a pc videos. i have a cleanup disk space one, and watch it. it is very complete

So in conclusion, Disk Cleanup will not delete any important files you need. It merely scours your hard drive(s) for any temporary files which are not crucial for proper system operation.
