  • Old bildings, streets.....everything you filmed is great! Aleksandria is really amazing city. Thanks a lot for this video.

  • thats egyptt in pass today a new era of egypt begins and from poor to rich soon egypt from being sandy from the sahara desert to a beatiful looking city buildinga building high up engineers wants jobs i bet soon egypt will be the best spot since they probably will sspend the money that mubarek kept on cleaning the desert so now the world may please say hello th a new era of egypt

  • I LOVE THIS CLIMATE ! I LOVE ALEXANDRIA ! ^___^

  • @dorabaret Viste somos plaga... Jeje.

  • Does anyone know where I can find a video of Matbul?

  • ya emnal seeteen aswan neeca

  • You seem like a cool person...I wanted to know where is the best to live in cairo and where are all the good grocery stores..thank you

  • @MsBeautyqueen99 Well, most people from the USA like living in Maadi, I find it's a little too far away from downtown Cairo. I used to live in Zamalek, all in all it's a quiet place to live despite its central position within the city (it's that big long island in the river, if you're looking at a map).

There are plenty of supermarkets and markets and grocery stores everywhere and they have good stuff, so I don't think that's much of a problem.

I hope someone else can give you more opinion.

  • Lol, at the end...

That guy that was speaking spanish, was freaking cute... xD

    I love Egypt.

  • nice video ..but where is the beach road or montaza ..because when we see the vedios we expected brtter than this ,,,alexandria is the best city in the world

  • @Scimitar89 u are welcome Mr scimitar89

and if u want any help u can call me before u come here

    zola_alex@yahoo.com

    have a good day

  • My Mother traveled to Italy years ago, and while in Naples she was told to watch out for pick pockets, some of these thieves were local, some were Eastern Euro Gypsies and some were peddlers from North Africa. There are aggressive street people in the States as well as we know. A good friend of mine attended a wedding in Krakow, Poland, what a clean city Krakow is! The video taken outside the church, you can see a group of men, these are regular citizens who police the streets for thieves.

  • @italobambino43 Naples sure is a tough city.

  • @Scimitar89 No, not at all. They will always try be kind, but they tend to overdo it, so if someone gets too pushy, just say goodbye and ignore them. Again, no reason to be scared, just know how to handle the situation.

  • @Scimitar89 Hello there. Don't take this warning too seriously, so don't be scared, but be prepared anyway to have people trying to mess around with you and hassling over anything, especially if you look like a foreigner... If you come from an arab family maybe you won't have too much trouble, if you look like anyone else it's probable that you will call attention and will be begged for hand-outs... Just my experience. On the bright side, theft is extremely rare in Egypt. Best luck.

  • Cool dude. I plan on going to Alexandria some day.

  • I love arabs, they are the nices poeple and they belief in GOD is very strong.

  • i miss alexandia:)

  • My parents are egyptian ansd i go there in the summer. When I go to people are usually really helpful and king but sometimes there are just hese people that take advantage of the fact that your foreign to the country and its frustrating

  • you say that your parents are egyptians so you are not a foreigner you are egyptian

  • Alex is beautiful and simple . The peopel there are kind and always willing to help . Nothing beats Alex . And it's safe no matter what people say . The only threat are the crazy drivers LOL

  • btw can we have the translation of ur final talk?

  • I dont know guys why all the fuss? why all the talk about precautions as if egypt is Afganistan per say !

Egypt is a safe country never the less a tourist comes here and thinks that she/he should probably act like the way she/he did in their country. that's a misconception.

  • Estas lindisimo ;)

  • Mi hermano te lo va a agradecer, pero igual está ocupado. =)

  • love egypt

  • in cairo so much more people:P

  • I agree. Nevertheless, Alexandria people are less used to foreigners than in Cairo, so they tend to be a little annoying.

  • what? what kind of stupid shit is this? what do you mean alex ppl not used to foreigners? did you forget we have huge greek/armenian presence in Alex??

  • Ok, you're right, maybe I should have said occidental foreigners.

But I will keep on my posture, as every time I went there I was harassed by people in the street.

  • i did some stupidity but her forgiveness made me feel secure

some women are aggressive and they want things going their way or the turn your life into hill.

i don't know what type of person you are to make him feel scared for his kids and decide to do such stupid act

i have friends married to american women they send their kids to schools in egypt and they bring em to the states in the summer time because they can afford a better education for them.some things you have to give bit thinking

  • you will go into middle age crises in your early 40's you will need lots of love and attention he should be there for you when in this stage of life. i was married to an american wife before and we loved each other, i took her to egypt with my daughter and she wanted to go back earlier i didn't mind she took my daughter and went back and i follower soon after.

god rest her sole she was an angel.

she died in her 20's and i still greave for her till this day

  • %99 of men younger then 30 are selfish immature and irresponsible.

after marriage they feel bored no fun no romance no action.

they get involve into lots of problems like affairs, drugs, leaving the house, out with friends most of the time. i'm talking about all men in general not only egyptian men.

a smart women should understand that this is a normal stage of life like being kid teenager adult middle ager and old man

  • Well said.

  • bród, smród i komuna..

  • rubbish thoughts

    very nice

i think you should be honest with yourself

all men make mistakes and for your kids sake you should forgive and be sure that one day he will lose interest in all the wrong doing and he will be family loyal

i think what you really miss is gaudiness from an older adult with knowledge you can trust.

we all go thru stages of life we have to be there for each other in each stage

    love support and forgive.

  • a kid needs both parents to be stable i a kid lose one then problems starts not at young age

they will shock you when they teens you will have no control over them they will end up using drugs gays or lesbians etc

look at mellions of cases like you all of them failed

i advise you to go back to your husband start over again stop being sellfsh and dont take somthing away from your kids fatherhood you dont have the right to take it away from them

  • sweety you are going thru a stage of life or you can better call it a disease called i wana be independent so you take other people rights and say my kids are better

who is in charge of taking people life in my openion im sure god

but what if someone take your life and say its better for you that way

i think you should seek psychological help before you destroy your kids and i mean it

you will destroy your kids its not fair

I have heard about many cases like yours, I even know of one such case from first hand.

  • I hope everything turns out fine for you and your kids.

  • to sexymomy

i can tell from your name that you are not the right mom for your kids and your husband had every right to take his kids and care for them

  • Please be cool, man.

  • Me gustaria ir para esa ciudad. Gracias por el video Gspahr

    Saludos desde Ags Mexico!!!

  • De nada, amigo.

  • i went to alexandria couple years ago and all the media that says negative things about egypt has proved them selfs to be very true in my case... i almost lost my children, my life, and was held hostage for 10 days with my 2 infant sons.... so my opinion and recomendation is... really think hard and more than twice before going there..... people are very sneaky there and you really cant trust no one including your husband and his family especialy mother in laws. strong advise for women....

  • Alexandria is a beautiful place but make sure you have a large amount of small currency for the endless tipping, police included. I,d go again tomorrow if I could.

  • what part of Alexandria did you film ? which streets/ neighborhoods ? im planning to visit Alexandria & would love to visit those parts ..

    thanks

  • Bahary, and just driving around.

Be sure to visit the Corniche and King Farouk's Palace.

Oh, and have a meal at the Fish Market, that's the real deal in Alex.

  • I am from Alexandria,

what's your point of recording the bad places in our beautiful city?

    what is the benefit?

do you really love your country?

  • Allahu akbar.

  • @abokbeer because the bad old places are beautiful, like Venice for example

  • i miss egypt

  • @spiderman3RCKS

    where do u live now?

  • of course u can record videos in public in Egypt, there is no problem in that

  • hey brother, i'm going to egypt next fall. any thing i should know before i take off?

  • Yeah, be prepared for the worst... Just kidding, heh.

    My advices are:

    1. be respectful,

    2. learn a little (egyptian) arabic,

    3. and try not to be fooled by anyone, they will try to suck out all of your money just because you will be a tourist.

    4. Oh yeah, maybe some guy will come near you and try to be close friends, don't trust him, just be polite and say "no, thanks".

  • Very smart advise in any country. Egyptian are nice people anyway. But true beware always...

  • Remember.... Respect the religion of their... try not to show your appereance if you are a girl

  • That was cool ,thank you. Just what I was looking for.

  • why cant you record videos in public in Egypt? So a tourist would not be able to record videos in public?

  • Comment removed

  • It's called hijab. Only muslim women have the obbligation to use it.

And we didn't bump into the guy, it was the security employee who didn't want us to film inside. Thanks for watching!

  • Is Egypt, Specifically Cairo and Alexandria, Great Pyramids safe to travel to for Americans?

  • Of course it's safe. Do you think you are going to be bombed as you set foot on any arab country? Come on.

  • Oh, if you get lucky, you will be able to see at least one terrorist attack.

    But chances are very few.

  • Thanks for replying, I was just nervous--with media portraying what it does, and others telling me traveling there will be too dangerous, it's getting in my head. As I would be traveling alone.....

  • Sorry, I think I sounded rude.

Just don't take the media so seriously, they're just making money.

And perhaps you should consider traveling with a little company, that would be safer.

  • I am doing a project on Alexandria and I was wondering if you could give me some information on how the life of a person in Alexandria would be.

  • Sorry, I can't. I lived in Cairo, so I don't really know about Alex's people.

  • i love egpyt.I miss egpyttt.

  • thanks man for the comment about egyptians.... he's a true dick...btw ur videos are gr8...

  • Shokran ya basha! I'm glad you liked them!

    Salam.

  • Great video!

Can anyone post video of streets of Alexandria from Ibrahimieh Neighborhood to Cleopatra especially Rue Omar Loutfy from Sporting Club to the beach?

  • your videos are nice!..i lived in alex for a year, and i miss it so much!!.what store were u guys in?(carffoure?)

  • Thank you very much, that's very kind.

The store is indeed the Carrefour.

  • nice video... i am a libyan american, but I looooooooove alexandria. we used to go there every summer to see our family before the sanctions were lifted on libya. i love the city, its people, and everything about it. and most of all, i loved walking around these backroads and alleys and getting "mango" (usually pumpkin disguised as mango) juice from the juice shops. GREAT VIDEO!!!

  • Thank you. I never had the guts to give that juice a try...

  • "do not attempt to record videos in public places in Egypt."

ah... seriously? that sucks. what about taking pictures?

  • Well, I exaggerated that a bit.

But ever since 9/11 security guys have increased and and not so prone to people with cameras anymore.

It's still alright to do that out in the street.

  • it's true that u didnt flim the best parts of alex..but still these place do exist

  • and please ignore rude comments, everything u filmed is alex 100%!!! i know all these places. Like you said..an exception!

  • Thank you for your kindness, you show the true egyptian spirit. And of course, the cornish in Alex is so beautiful...

  • hey! im half egpytian and im from alex.

love ittttt! but i dont live there currently.

miss everything about it! If u r still there, u should eat at Fish market! best sea food ever.. =)

  • I used to live in Cairo, and when I went to Alexandria, the Fish Market THE place to eat in!

  • what is your other roots

  • Well this video doesnt show the best of Alexandria but even in those streets u can find the best of egyptian food.

  • You're absolutely right about everything you said. Cheers!

  • 1:10 is bahary (west of Alexandria)

  • Yeah me too, I had such a fun time back then...

  • Yes, I understand your point.

I've been in Alex in January 2007, and I had never seen the cornish as beautiful as that time. However, the point of this video was to show the "less known part of Alexandria".

    Thanks for commenting though. Cheers.

  • I lived in Alexandria for 25 years and I never seen these areas...I have no clue where this Spanish doo got this footage from ...I had a friend who was in Argentina last month and he was robbed twice in there. Any way Alexandria at its worse will still much better than his Argentina...

  • First of all, this spanish doo filmed these videos himself (if you wonder, this video was filmed near the seaport and just three-four blocks away from the sea). Secondly, I have lived many years in Cairo, and I think I know Egypt well enough.

  • Alexandria at its worse IS NOT better than Argentina, but you got a point when you say that there is no criminality in Egypt, which is one of the things I loved about it. You're welcome to come by and make your own documentary if you like, you will be well received. And robbed if you like.

  • Just a question is every one in Argentina is a drug addict like Maradona

  • No, just assholes like him.

Let me ask you, every egyptian is a dick like you? No, I guess it's just you. Egyptian are nice people, and I guess you're an exception.

You don't even know your city well.

  • Also, I'm glad that you came back, it shows what an idiotic asshole you are.

  • so far I didn't use any foul language against you I just used facts ...but let me tell you Latino boy go fuck yourself the fault isn't yours it is my country which allow FAGETS like you to come and visit...by the way did write this yourself or your English did it for you....:-)

  • 1. I´m also using facts, as I said, you´re a dick. Foul language is needed for treating idiots.

    2. I did not just visit Egypt, I lived in it. (You spent 25 years of your life in a city which still is a mistery to you.)

    3. Lol, your last comment doesn´t make sense at all. You might want to check your spelling man.

Last thing: you could learn politeness from your fellow mai914.
