Damn dude .. hook me up w/ that! LOL it is almost xmas .. think about it .. you could give me that and buy yourself all new HD monitors hhaaha . My PC should handle it i run a GTX 275 .. worst case I SLI it .. my board supports 3 way SLI.
I'm thinking about getting 3x monitors but i dont wanna play for the TripleHead2Go to expensive so what other options are there, i know softth but i've read that it dosen't support many games etc what's the best way to go i have a Sapphire Radeon 4870 1gig ( 2x DVI slots)
I've got a 19" - 22" - 19" setup, only using Softth (cause it's free !), and Ok, not ALL the games work, but a lot of them do, and it also allows playing with different resolutions per screen (not always "3 x base resol").
You can find a lot of information about it on the kegetys (dot) net forum, but I warn you : if you begin to play in surround gaming, you'll feel claustrophobic when not using it ! :)
Well, the screens on the sides where CRT's and you know how it is when picking it up on a videocamera. But I have now (just for you :) exchanged my two sides screens with two 22" widescreens so now I have additional 5cm on each side :-)
The FOV is different depending on car, I usually adjust the FOV and the seat position to get the screenborders in the windscreens borders. In this video I used FOV 43. The screen is 4:3 monitors. And I rather have five 4:3 screens instead of three large 16:9 screens. I fill up almost completely my sight of view.
That felt really realistic, superb sense of speed :)
Can you share some more info on the setup and the system behind it, how are the two gfx-cards working with the multi head software & hardware and so on?
As I wrote under info it is done using a combination of TripleHead2Go and the free software SoftTH. One GTX260 card is rendering everything and put the side screens on a second cheap graphics card, the three in the middle are divided up by the TH2Go. In theory it should be possible to do a 9 monitor setup using this technique.

do all games support 5 monitor gaming?
warlockboyburns 1 year ago
@warlockboyburns
Nope :( In my case the game needs to support SoftTH. But all the games I'm interested in supports 5 monitors :)
Additional the game need to be able to change the aspect or the field of view, not all games support that.
hossians 1 year ago
That is brilliant!
I'm running an asymmetric 3-screen setup with SoftTH for now (17 - 19 - 17) but plan to upgrade it to three 19s...
You've inspired me to keep the 17s and try a 5-way setup! :D

Nice setup. Can I ask what field-of-view (FOV) you are using in rFactor? (from the "display, settings" page).
And can I confirm this is five x 4:3 monitors?
Thanks
