The Nikon AW100 unfortunately has a slower lens f3.9. And that's the major item with comparing cameras (point and shoot, or DSLR lenses).
The lower the number the better you can shoot in low light which also translates to being able to capture moving object better too. That is why lenses or cameras that have fx.x numbers that are lower are generally regarded as better.
So always check any camera's specifications.
That's the real bummer for Nikon. They really should have put a better lens.
@minaseYui00 Actually the Sony TX10 is better compare to FT3. Higher resolution screen, bigger screen, touch screen, shot faster, cheaper than FT3, lighter, thinner, better wide angle. Unfortunately there are some leakage issues. It's OK for waterproof (rain, beach, etc) but not for underwater. Maybe you can consider Olympus also.
@saltwatermonkey The tx10 may have higher MP's, but it comes down to how well you can use the camera in extreme environments which the tx10 fails. Touchscreen problems while underwater and in cold plague the tx10. I would say if you are considering a pool camera that takes great photos go with the sony, otherwise get the ft3, it is more rugged and more usable in rugged environments. Both great cameras, also the panasonic is less expensive and has gps btw.
fat people really anger me
