@coewee No, when the Glenelg tram line was a privetly run train line, there was also a publicly run line, but the state gov brought out the privet train line, converted it in to a tram line, and ripped up the other train line from North Tce.
Know that section very well.There was once a freight depot and siding at Oaklands and a ramp that was used by Army for loading vehicles.(Army Camp is still nearby).There was a freight service to Willunga years ago also and the train would shunt and pick-up freight cars on return journey.A Mikado was normally used and sometimes it had a good load of wagons.Oaklands is now an interchange and quite flash.
