  • The Only place where you Compete Pokemon Inside(The others were always Outside if no one noticed)

  • @TheSegacampGamer Poke cup was actually indoor too. It just looked outside because it had a dome to it. I could see how it might look like outside though. But the prime cup is the only one that is dark.

  • @SuperDeadmaniac I know what you mean when you look at there there Lit Torches inside the Stadium for Light(besides the Spotlights aiming down on the Stadium so we can see the Pokemon Too!)

  • This is the best cup of the 4. Unlike the other 3, it has no level restrictions and mew CAN be used.

  • When i play PBR i just mute the game, and play this sound

  • @moofotv Why not replace the music files! That way, you can replace some of the announcer speeches.

  • @mikanator101 you are SOOO RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mikanator101 But when it all comes down to it no one can handle living in the first generation anymore. Tested and proven! The nostalgia is lovely however :)

  • @mikanator101 im ok with any gen but 1st is the best.

  • definitely the best music.

  • AWW me and my buddies playing N64 that was my chieldhood!!

  • prime cup kicks ass!!

  • 2 people used butterfree.

  • Makes me think of a Battle Casino

  • When I hear this song I instantly think about thunders, fire blasts and earthquakes and brings a tear on my eyes.

But when I hear stargazer colosseum from revolution all i can remember is fucking "???? PROTECTS ITSELF"

  • What's the matter, trainer?

  • SERIOUSLY?! Two people must've used level 50ish pokemon in the friggin' Prime Cup. >:[

  • @Eushisu Funny story: Someone posted a video of beating the entire Prime Cup using a Poke Cup team. :P

  • Oh how this brings back memories... No matter what, I always had Mew and Jolteon on my team.

  • Played this game as a younger child my favorite team are zapdos, venesaur, chrizard, raichu, lapras and blastoies.

  • The memories, ..this always was my favorite battle song in the game.

  • The team i used to beat the Prime Cup (Poke-Master Ball, all rentals)

    Nidoqueen

    Nidoking

    Kangaskhan

    Tauros

    Gyarados

    Rhydon

I never thought these would be so good. Thats why I love this team to this day O.o

  • I hear bits of gary's champ music

  • i love this song so much :D, i wanna play pokemon stadium right now, thank you Eushisu

  • I trained a Team of Pokemon in Red Version to Level 100 to try and beat Master Ball Prime Cup.

  • This track is full of win.

  • Jesus this brings back memories! I'd give anything to go back to the good ol' days of training and fighting w/ Pokemon!

  • this song is played in the pokemon HG and SS in the viridian gym before the battle against (blue, green , gary) is my favorite song of all the pokemon games

  • i still havn't beat prime cup master ball. i know its sad, i just can't choose the perfect rental pokemon. if anyone has any suggestions... please share them. i've gotten to the final round a few times, but never won, so yeah please... help

  • @NintendoWizard my brother used a random team. Try ledgendary birds and final evolution starters.

  • @NintendoWizard Mr. Mime, Zapdos . Then I guess whoever else you want

  • Here Comes Thunder!

  • Pokemon stadium was friggin awesome. The music is so underrated in that game.

  • song is beast!

  • I feel bad for people who don't have this game, cause I do...

  • 8D I love this song.

  • Never get bored about this song. Never.

  • fucking nostalgia pwns everything.

  • Junichi Masuda composed the original pokemon score from GB.

  • Masuda-san just appeared today anouncing the new 5th generation.

  • yeah and the sihlouette looks so shitty like all the 4th gen

  • Hajime Wakai composed this score? The only thing i know is that he composed the Pikmin Music.

  • @SuperBrictson Arranged would be the correct term. Composed implies he created it when really he's remixing stuff from Masuda's score.

  • es la mejor cancion del juego XD

  • @cacasecayedionda , totalmente de acuerdo :-), si esto fuese real, quiero que sea mi battle theme.

    por cierto, excelente screename LOL

  • This is my absolute favorite song in the game. Best parts:

The 0:12 is perfect for setting the song's positive, uplifting tone.

0:29 provides the ideal resolve for the whole-scale tensity that appears directly before.

0:52 through 1:03 is absolutely legendary. It's like the perfect climax.

  • ...I couldn't have picked it apart better myself. :D

  • can you post the pokemon stadium 2 songs?

  • @twilightWo1f & Eushisu You pick out those parts and say you could not have picked it apart better, but what about the part right after 1:03? That is the kind of music that gives you the inspirational feeling that you can do anything!

  • @ultimajoe777 Yeah, I agree with you. Listening to that little part is like being risen up to heaven haha.

  • @twilightWo1f perfect climax

  • go boy coll

  • Rentals!!!! Oh shit thats beast. rentals were the shit.

  • They remixed that small tune that comes when you encounter Youngsters in PKMN. (And some moar guys).

    Great idea... Great remix.

  • Ahh, love this one.

  • I always liked doing the prime cup battles since there were no level restrictions. I definitely enjoy using level 50 pokemon to beat some of the level 100 pokemon because that was definitely more of a challenge than using level 100 pokemon. lol

  • Comment removed

  • such dignity, spoken like red

  • Seriously, this song is SOOO good and catchy. Every day i play it at my Winamp! And never get bored!

    HAIL N64!

  • I fucking loved Prime cup's arena..it was all Elite of the ELite baby!

  • them was the days i miss it so

  • Please tell me where can i obtain pokemon stadium soundtrack

  • Well, i download a USF plugin (USF is the N64 sound track file tipe) for Winamp, searched in a site with many USF to download, and picked every song of any game less than 2mb.

  • good times =)

  • wooooaaaa !!! THUNDERBOLT!!

    AAH AAH NO EFECCT XD

    =) thanks for this jewel

  • I love this music... always got psyched because it was a precursor to RPG hell I would face in later rounds.

  • im never getting rid of this game

  • im with u on that one!

  • I love this song

  • Pokemon Stadium.. One of the best games for the N64. The Ice Beam and Flamethrower animations from the N64 kick PBR's facy ass.

  • Agress

Stadium beats the crap out of PBR and especially Colloseum and XD!

Stadium simply is still the best after a decade.

  • Ahhh.... This here is a good piece of music.

They just don't make it like they use to.

Brings back such good memories, and pumps me up for a good pokemon battle.

  • Agreed. It's a good piece of music 2 battle 2.

  • tottaly agree in mainly every pokemon game the music brings more action 2 the battle this brings back lots of memorys back 2 me when i had trouble doing the master ball 4 the prime cup

  • I dont know, to me D/P/P music is pretty weak.

    I do love this song.

  • level 100

  • Kadabra

  • WOW TAKEN DOWN IN A ONE HIT!

  • old song hit game !!!

  • This song makes me wish they would make a third one. . .

  • not to say it kinda sounds like a Midi, but it's one of those good one

  • Actually, most video game music are MIDIs. It takes up less space (kilobytes compared to Megabytes that mp3s take up, and don't even get me started on WAVs, which are only good for sound effects). MIDI's can sound very good though, if done properly. I agree with you that it is one of the better MIDIs though, being glad that it doens't sound too much like one.

  • Best battle music of the 2 N64 Stadium games.

  • and not overall?

To me, it's the best battle music ever! The only one that comes close (second place) is the song that plays when you do one of the two only normal battles in Pokemon Colliseum, and third is the Prime cup semi-finals/finals, the really good one (though those are so close, it's practically a tie).

  • Yes, I mean overall :)

But I have never played the other Pokemon Games for Gamecube and Wii....

  • you can search on youtube the music...but, Colloseum, XD or Revolution are just amazing graphics...the rest is crap. The really amazing games were the 2 stadiums

  • Thanks Kantolkari,

but I know how Colloseum, XD and Revolution are. They look good but didn't make fun. And yes, I know that Stadium 1 and 2 are the best Pokemon games....

Watch my channel for it :)

  • Yeah, don't worry too much about them. Revolution is okay to have if you want something else to do with Diamond and Pearl (I must warn you though, the computers OHKO rate is INSANELY HIGH. It's foggy, I lowered their accuracy, and they hit with a OHKO move three times in a row O_O). Yeah, plus, their music isn't that great either, I only really like Miror B.'s theme and the battle theme I mentioned above, both from Colleseum. All the others are...well...boring.

  • BEST MUSIC

  • Oh, I love this music. It's freakin' awesome.

  • Anyone know where to get this song???

  • Yeah, the first season period had the best themes. All the music from the intro to the show, to the battle theme with Mewtwo, all great. Though, season 2 had good music (Pokemon World), but from there, it lost it's Pokemon touch, now it's wierd lab music and slow music.

  • There's a part in this song where when you face a trainer with vs seeker or a challenge from a trainer and they talk to you in Firered and Leafgreen.

  • Yeah, I loved this song so much I spent 5 minutes talking to a battle ready trainer, just to realize that it only played part of the song...It was awhile ago though...

  • Pokemon stadium 1 I think is better than two

I don't know why but it's just better

  • Easy, the pokemon have better moves. Seriously, WHY did they give Starmie and Jolteon Zap Cannon?!? It's weaker and has much less number of uses and accuracy, just for paralysis. That's not even, compared to Sacred fire and Fire Blast. which is the opposite (better accuracy, no guarenteed burn IIRC, but still weaker and same number of hits.)

  • Pokemon Stadium 2 has more strategy, is not just like "my halakazzam 00wns aaalll!!". I'm not considering the rental ones, because those are seriously crap, but the idea was also to not make the battles too n00b

  • Well, yeah, I understand. I just lost my pokemon yellow/red/blue/gold/silver/crystal and my Game boy color (sucks, that DS can't play Gameboy Color/Original Gameboy games). Ah, well, it's a fun game, I just wish they kept Thunder on Starmie and Jolteon, since it wouldn't have made much of a difference when it came to accuracy, except it was slightly better (seriously, why did they made Zap Cannon so useless, you have only a 60% chance of a OHKO move hitting compared to it, and it isn't the best.

  • Zap has 50% and 100 Power, Thunder has 70% and 120 (with rain no miss)...I mean, can we compare? I have the Crystal and the Yellow (and I want to buy the Silver one) so I really enjoy making strategies and test them on the stadium, because as I said, here these guys REALLY think, and their pokemons are harder to beat, I mean...you don't find a Gym Leader with crappy pokemons...

  • Oh, I actually ran out of space, I know that Zap Cannon is useless due to less accuracy and power (I used to think Zap Cannon did 150, but when I saw it's power, I only wondered what Nintendo was thinking). Yes, the Gym Leaders are much harder to beat. I've finally beaten Round 1 in Pokemon Stadium one, but two, I haven't even beaten all the poke/Challenge, or Prime cups. I'm scared for what round two would bring, except I haven't played it in a long while.

  • Round 2...will bring an impossible Little Cup (believe me, the last guy is a pain in the ass, I still can't beat him).

About Challenge Cup...after Prime...is my fav cup ever. You can only use one thing: your brain. Is really hard because you have to guess the power that your pkmns have and the foe's one too. And as they have some really weird attacks sometimes (Geodude with Fire Blast, Mareep with Curse? that's weird xD) you can expect anything from the oponent too

  • Oh, yeah, I just checked again and I did actually beat all the Challenge cups. I love doing challenge cup, in two player it's a fun way to really square off fairly and see who's truly the better battler (the best trainer can win any random set pokemon match). Gosh, I'm still worried about the Poke cup Ultraball, and Prime cup is so difficult. I wonder though, would it be too cheap to teach a pokemon Dragon rush then battle in the Little cup. It would OHKO most pokemon anyway, since its 40 solid.

  • the thing is that both games need a balance.

If pokemon stadium 2 had had the same moves, it would have been better, and they got some pokemon worse so that there is a balance

  • Well, I do agree somewhat, but the fact that PKMN Stadium 2 was the sequel kinda makes me think that it should've surpassed PKMN Stadium in as many ways as possible. There are still many reasons to play PKMN Stadium (for the music, the challenge of less pokemon choices, different minigames, etc...) so I'd perfectly understand if it was the same sense as Red and Blue, since they are the same game, but since Stadium 2 is a sequel, I just personally felt that it should've just improved everything.

  • Technically the first Stadium in the US was a sequel, in japan this game was Pokemon Stadium 2. Pokemon Stadium 1 in Japan you could not even use every pokemon, it was around 40 different pokemon.

  • It was more of a prototype if anything

  • To be honest I thought Stadium 2 was very close but no cigar to Stadium.

They both though beat all the rubbish that came after them.

  • Oh by a land slide. The Stadium games are much better. Sure by Pokemon Battle Revolution, it's easier to put in your own pokemon, but that's NO excuse for having the computer hit with a OHKO attack after I lower their accuracy, IN THE FOG, TWICE in a ROW. Then have me miss with an attack that the game says has 100% accuracy when the fog is gone, THREE TIMES. The com cheats horribly in that game, beyond EVs and IVs. And the spamming of Protect and Fake Out get's old really fast. I agree 100%.

  • And moreso... WHERE THE FREAK ARE MY RENTALS.

  • I agree totally with your opinion!!!!

  • For everyone's info, the 10 most used non-uber Pokemon in May were 1. Garchomp 2. Gengar 3. Blissey 4. Gyarados 5. Tyranitar 6. Lucario 7. Bronzong 8. Heatran 9. Starmie 10. Infernape Thats 3 from RBY, 2 from GSC, 5 from DPP and none from RSE! That's 5 from the first 2 generations, and 5 from the last 2 generations.
  • Garchomp, Gengar, and Tyranitar are all Ubers. I dont think you know the definition of an Uber.

  • No, you don't know the definition of Uber in the competitive Pokemon sense. All of those Pokemon are strong, but NOT uber.

  • Ggar, Blissey, Ttar, Starmie...etc...those are OU (Over Used), not n00b-ers.

  • The new Pokemon are overpowered, along with the moves. You never see Beedrils or Butterfrees anymore. Now it's Weaville, Garchomp, Blissey, Skarmory, Gengar, and Yangmega. Same teams over and over and over...

  • You never saw Butterfree or Beedrills, idiot.

As for DarkDerricks: "Nope, your Level 100 Gyarados gets destroyed by Pokemon 10-20 levels lower then it because they spent 12 hours boosting their stats by killing level 2 Pidgeys."

Yes, they put in the effort, they get a reward. And rarely is an EV trained Pokemon trained ONLY in speed, and is kept at only level 80.

Do some homework before you make baseless claims, you dolts.

  • I spelled a Pokemon's name incorrectly. Oh my. Over used Pokemon in today's metagame, even those like Gengar from the first gen, have been powered up by newer generation movesets and abilities. Thus making them even more cheap. Stat-wise, 4th gen Pokemon are better than the older gens.

You're the one who needs to do your homework dumbass. What the hell, you come here schooling people about a Pokemon videogame? What a dumbass.

  • Pokemon with problems, like evolutions, better movepools, new abilities, etc.

Also, competitive RBY had the same things you're whining about, but was even LESS Balanced than it is now. Psychic was insanely overpowered, and the whole Metagame revolved around Alakazam, Slowbro, Starmie, Exeggutor, etc. And back then, most Pokemon only had ONE good moveset. Now, there's plenty of different sets that can be used.

RBY was FAR more imbalanced than DP is. RBY had way more problems with its metagame.

  • EVs training is a crappy edition to Pokemon. Rather than training a party from the start like in Red and Blue, now people scout out ones with the best natures and high IVs, then spend hours leveling on the same wild creature. In the end, every online Pokemon you see has the same moveset and stats. It's stupid. The olden days were so much better because a player who was just in it for fun could also play on a pro level without EV nonsence.

  • Actually, IVs and EVs were there from day one. The only differences were that IVs raised two stat points and went to 15, not 31, but the difference is one point per stat.

EVs existed too, but instead of a 510 max, you could max out every stat. Which made stats less overpowered.

The only thing that exists now that didn't exist is Natures, and the difference is only 10% to each stat it effects. Clearly, it ruined everything.

And Nintendo/GameFreak try to balance it more, by giving additions to

  • Dont forget held items.

  • They are okay, but some are brokenly cheap to the max (like those that lower a super effective's power so much in PBR (CPU battle). Also some abilities are brokenly cheap, like Bronzong's immunity to ground or defense to fire. Non predictable, Steel-Psychic is overpowered enough, and if you don't have a Fire with Earthquake, it's very fustrating to fight.

  • You clearly have no knowledge of the competitive scene. Because of Earthquake's greater commonnness than Fire moves, and Levitate's greater overall effect than Heatproof, all competitive Bronzong almost always run LEvitate. Even if it does have Heatproof, it'll be made quite obvious when your Fire Blast fails to OHKO it that it hasn't got LEvitate, which is when you earthquake it. There's a tip for handling Zong.

  • Ok, sorry, I don't go competitive that much (except for however you consider Pokemon Battle Revolution and the Battle tower). I guess I should just Fire Blast it to death anyway, since risking missing with earthquake would be a miss, and using earthquake with a fire type that doesn't have immunity or a counter wouldn't be the wisest. Like other pokemon, I'll take them down eventually. Thanks for the tip.

  • In D/P they added something thats like natures but its kinda hard for me to explain what they really are, but its posted in thier stats somewhere. i just call it a personality.

  • Each specific nature adds 10% to one stat and takes away 10% from another stat (well, actually, some of the natures don't do anything, but w/e). You can look them up, I don't remember which is which right now...

  • Quirky Nature is one of the ones that doesn't have a significant stat increase and decrease. I usually prefer those types over others. But there are others like quirky nature... i just don't remember.

  • docile, serious, hardy and bashful

  • Oops... I think I replied to one of your other comments (or was it this one?), but I didn't understand what you meant. Basically that "personality" thing just indicates each Pokemon's highest IV. You can look it up somewhere, because again, I don't remember what message=what IV.

  • Eh, no prob. But yeah, this whole new Pokemon things is losing me now... I kinda preferred the older style, but if i want to stay a gamer, I'll play the games rather than complain of its new features. But whatever the case, It usually says something like: "Likes to eat."

  • pokemon started going down after gold and sliver. i played the newer ones and theyre alright although the ruby sapphire thing sucked. anyway i still play the orginal games and to be honest with you id rahter play them then the newer ones. im old skool all the way, mewtwo will always be strongest in my book no matter what new legendary pokemon comes out. fuck arceus mewto all the way! anyway all i have to say is old skool 150 pokeon is the way to go

  • in my heart there are 151 pkmns...in my mind, 251. The rest...what the hell is?

  • 493 in total

  • I see what you mean, Ev's are hard to really get when you have just begun the game and your battling pidgeys, rattatas, hoot hoots, wurmples, zigzagoons, poochyenas, Starly's, etc. Of course a real fun way to fool your opponent is to raise a stat the pokemon may lack (like raising the speed of a slowpoke.) But thats not always the case i suppose. They way I see it, each pokemon has its own good stat, and bad stat.

  • Also, how the hell are Gengar, Skarmory, and Blissey new? There are plenty of Standard 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen Pokes, and plenty of crappy new Pokemon in terms of statistic.

  • I remeber beating Lance's Second Dragonite with my level 50 Haunter.

It's attacks I healed with Dream Eater, which did very little damage, he healed them, and the battle consisted for a while until he rran out of PP and Full Restores.

  • Can you upload the song when you're picking your pokemon in two player battles and what not? the route 11 song?

  • I'll see what I can do.

  • Back in the days of Red/Blue I beat my friend's level 99 Mewtwo with my level 99 Chansey.

    Chansey doesn't dies, kthx.

  • I believe it. I remember fighting a level 100 Chansey in Stadium with my level 100 Mewtwo. Damn think kept Minimizing itself and it eventually resorted to using struggle, and basically killed itself. xD

  • Yes, that's exactly what happened in my duel. The whole duel took like an hour, hour and a half.

    I was aghast.

  • Well, I actually -won- my duel, but yeah. Struggle-fights result when you face a high level Chansey.

  • I remember when I discovered Chansey was going to evolve in GSC. I couldn't believe it. What was almost the best Pokemon in the game, something that could survive seemingly forever and that had a higher Special Attack stat than Mew surely didn't need to evolve! They did cut Chansey's Special Attack stat all the way down to 35 though.

  • Sweet! I've been looking forever for this song! It's my favorite Pokemon Stadium (or 3-d Pokemon game) song!

  • 良いですね

  • それは私の好みである

  • Oh, all the good times I've had before all this "nature" and "Stealth Rock" crud...

  • Hah! So true.

  • Yeah, I liked the simplicity, yet the challenge that the original had over this new stuff. Just catch the ones you like and own, that's how I like to play. Not this new "catch the right nature and overhyped, overpowered pokemon and leave all others to the wild." way. Why can't we enjoy our favorite pokemon without dealing with "He sucks, (insert Legendary) is better". I just want to stick with the Eevee evolutions, especially Flareon who is underrated in my opinion, without dealing with natures

  • Yeah, I like to use my favorites, too. That's why I like to use Dragonite, Pikachu, Hitmontop, and some other Pokemon nobody sees as being very good.

Poor Dragonite doesn't deserve to be overshadowed by the likes of Garchomp (who might I add has worse stats than Dragonite barring speed) and Salamence.

  • Yeah, I feel your pain, I the fact that people think Flareon is the worst pokemon JUST because his defense isn't the best and his moveset is poor. I've seen the stats, his Sp. Def is exellent and his Sp. Attack is better than half of the others. The only flaw is his defense and his exceptional Attack? (yes, I'm asking THEM why having great attack power makes you the worst pokemon). I just don't get it. It's the same as all the others, just different maxes... {sigh} Thanks for agreeing with me.

  • I hear you guys, but Pokemon has always been competitive like that. So Nintendo has given people more incentive to battle and train up certain pokemon. We may not like it, but you have to admit it definitely kicks life back into Pokemon's tired formula.

What disappointed me the most was the transition from GSC to RSE. It was almost like a downgrade minus the graphics.. everything about GSC was superior to RSE in my opinion. Luckily, Diamond and Pearl re-established what made GSC so great.

  • Yeah, I agree. I wish Nintendo would make it more open, I mean, in RBY people were using Beedrill. So I think Nintendo should make it so that all pokemon have a special thing that makes them worthy to be on a team. Give them all something more (Like RBY and GSC). Yeah, RSE was the worst in my opinion, and P and D are better in every way, but GSC definetly had the best gameplay pokemon wise and plus 16 badges and a final battle. I hope whatever the next game is goes back to the original formula.

  • Personally the whole "EV" crap is what pisses me off.

Nope, your Level 100 Gyarados gets destroyed by Pokemon 10-20 levels lower then it because they spent 12 hours boosting their stats by killing level 2 Pidgeys.

I totally agree with you MarioMaster.

But I do like some of the new Pokemon, mainly because I only use Pokemon that I think look cool, not because of stats. (hence why I trained Arbok to Level 100.)

  • Yeah, me too. I use the ones I think look the coolest and are my favorites. and I detest that EV and IV nonsense. I think it should stick to the LV 100 = strong formula, and give every pokemon a fighting chance. No more Flareon dying in one hit by a grass attack for some stupid reason (critical hit, and some dumb attack combo). It's why I don't battle online. Thanks for agreeing though. I also think sone new ones are cool (Luxray, Lucario, Sceptile, etc.). So new pokes are okay.

  • This music sure brings back great memories. Thanks for posting this.
