Today I just had accident I'm healthy still alive this world is really wear for 5 min u can be alive or dead but the first thing that came in my mind was to hear this song once more I don't know why but this song in someway is conected with my spirit! good bles u people!
Can anyone tell me what language is being sung. Damn I love Dario Marianelli, and the scene of Davus smothering Hypatia was beautiful, damn it was beautiful.
Looking forward to the film about xerxes (same makers as 300). Perhaps it will be a more balanced film. Have to say the music in 300 is great so looking forward to it.
This film showed how religious fundamentalism is evil and destructive. Just think how far we as people would be if the great library of Alexandria was still existing and if science and logic won over superstition and intolerance.
@Equilibrium1504 wtf? pythagoras wasn't killed by persians! At least get your facts straight when you try to educate someone else. Pythagoras was killed by rebels in the city of Croton (italy!).
Typical Greek, blame the Persians for everything while most of the time you were the reason for your own failures! I bet if you fart you still point fingers at Persians!
jeeesh man, seriously, get over this whole Hellenocentrism.
@AleksandrosBr I'm not against Greeks either, I'm just against this attitude of many (not all) Greeks that has been developping over the past few years when all these movies about Greek supremacy came out (300, Alexander, Clash, etc.). Hollywood is making the West in general look superior to the East by using Greek history and perverting it to make Persians, Easteners in general, look bad, and many Greeks fall for it.
Greeks and Persians had many bonds of friendship but noone talks about that.
Well my friend it was just an example i could sit here for
hours talking about that subject....
The same did and to us in the movie Alexander that showed Alexander as gay while there is not even one single prove from an ancient historian about that....
Generally West doesn't respect a lot the Ancient History or countries....
That's so sad -_-. Actually it's really a shame to see that in Italy church wanted to block the vision of this movie. What they want to keep secret? Why doesn't the church accept what have been done in the past? It's incredible how the world didn't change yet. An incredible intellectual, that actually found out how our galaxy system works 12 centuries before the astronomer Copernicus did, got killed in a cruel way by fail people. This film makes me Refect a lot, even If I belive In Christiany.
I didn't see a brilliant movie like this long time ago. the image, the characters, the great reproduction of an era...and the music of course. already have the original soundtrack on cd :)
Um filme qe vi na aula de filosofia e mesmo no meio da aula so me aptecia largar uma lagrima com a ultima cena

I am Greek and i don't blame Persians....
Greeks and Persians in the Hellenistic ages were friends
they hunt animals together....
We must be wise and to follow the example of ancients
no fanaticism.....

@Shahin2102
I agree with you Hollywood makes Ancient Persians to look bad...
For example 300 was fake Spartan soldiers have full armor and not just one Helmet, Shield and spear....
Persians were also well light armored with spears and bows in the movie of 300 shows them with just one robe and masks....
Shows Xerxes as gay and this was a huge insult against Persian people was
also a great leader and we have not a prove that was gay...
AleksandrosBr 1 year ago
@AleksandrosBr that was the least that was wrong with 300 lol

And i agree Ancient Greece took many elements from Ancient Persia....
A good example was Alexander the Great that he admired Persian Satraps
and Kings...
