@belberalis that's not doc. House. Its Hugh Laurie, a british actor who plays the role of dr. House. No surprises he's there, he worked with BBC and likes Pulp :) After all this was 9 yrs ago.
Britpop was a genre made up by writers for the NME. The NME for fucks sake. Crappest music misinformation magazine ever. I prefer to list favorite bands when asked about my taste in music. If i just said i was into Britpop it would be like admitting i liked Menswear. Or Shed 7.
Pulp actually formed in 1978! When Jarvis was 15. They are a key player in the 'Britpop' movement, although Jarvis and many others like Brett Anderson from Suede hate that term!
Lindsay i hope your doing well, i am sure you have2.3 children and i hope your well but do you remember dancing to this in the garage then falling out on the staircase on the way out......way toooo much boooze....now shake like jarvis!!!!!!! oh the days eh? :-)
@french737373 this particular genre would probably not be referred to as britpop today, but it sure was back then. pulp are widely known as co-founders to the movement, along with suede and blur. this is what the essence of britpop was. :)
@cashelblue90 In fact, the band was conceived in 1978 - although that is being a fair bit flippant. It wasn't even until 1989 or so that the line-up that produced His 'n' Hers got together. 1989 wasn't even having a sniff of Britpop.
Pulp are my favourite band. I wish I could just say "I listen to Pulp" and people would know what kind of person I am.
Another quality line off of a Pulp track called "Pink Glove" is "He doesn't care what it looks like, jut as long as it' pink and it's tight". Jarvis gets in the head of deviants and common people and us and he breaks it down.
Beautifully English ;)

Note the exclamation marks - they're important.
