I am glad to know that yung khmer got so lucky and have a better live... but remember that.. some olders khmer like my self still have problems this days..why?because we did not have the time to get education, so we stared with cleaned bathrooms...goodluck and thanks again.

Hey......... I 'm all choke up seeing this video. I also was one of the homeless kid who live in the camp. I had no families, so they put me at the foster kids shelter. can't ....continue anymore. To sad. thank for sharing the video.

Our school used to visit these camps when I was child....we and many villages around that area used to give them foods. cloths, medical etc....now we are also happy to see them have a good chance in the third countries...We hope that you would use your knowledge to develope your country for a better cambodia....

It's a surprise to learn that there are Khmer students and Khmer cultural show at Penn State. There are also a lot of Khmer student associations in the United States. One of the largest Cambodian student clubs is at Cal State. At Long Beach, CSS has the most Khmer student members anywhere in the U.S.

yeah, penn state's khmer population is very small. it use to be about only 15 to 20 out of 45,000 students. but KSS promotes our khmer american culture as best we can for a smalll group. love doing it :)

Im the second generation of the Cambodian people in America. It's sad to hear what happen to our people. But what is interesting is that my mom was in the actual Refugee camp that this slide show showed. She recognized it. This is a good slide, shows me the hardship of Cambodian people, in the Genocide.

Thats so cool that you keep all those pictures memory and what most important, you were able to locate and united your childhood friends. So you were born in 1985, I already left for the state (US) and already in 9th grade.

What is important for our country to be more properly is to return your education back to our homeland. Look at Israel; they are about 2 million but a 2 million of 100% educted.

When the Tai refugees ran away from the Mongol killing, Khmer allowed them to live in Khmer land and later Tai kicked Khmer out from the Khmer land. So when the Khmer refugees ran away from the KR killing or the Viet killing, why can't Khmer live in the former Khmer land?

This video is suppose to show the lives of Refugee's and the Dream of the Children of the Khmer Refugees. This video is to promote the future of all Khmer people. Not to swell on the past where we can do nothing about. We can only learn from mistakes and live better lives.

Thank you so much to posted these videoes for our young teenagers know about that.I been in K I D since 1979 to 1981 i left K I D to live in USA.I have had lots of our khmer friends during i lived there.I saw lots of khmer suffering lived in that camp.But no body coundn't against them back and just kept quiet all the time.I missed all khmer lived there too much.
