Personally I'm more of a fan of G1, but G3 really isn't that bad if just look in between the lines. The setting is colorful, the animation isn't that bad, and some parts are downright entertaining. This may not be my favorite generation, but it's better than I though it was. See what pre-FIM bashers will do to you if you listen to them?

@Electricpraise777 Only if you put it on mute. It's better animation and looks than g1, but story and characters just about sucked. Party, party, party, party, party, we have no personality! That was all g3. G1 had actual personality and of course standard for kids in the 80s kind of plotline. but animation and design....were very ugh. Each has their faults...but out of all of them: g3 was the worst.

@JuweiNam Well that's assuming your leaving out G3.5. I have no problem with G3, I don't mind the voices, and I disagree that the characters have no personality. G1 will always be my favorite, and I admit that I prefer G2 over G3, but for a guy that was introduced to MLP through G4, this is satisfactory for me. I respect that you don't like G3, but I for one like it very much. I'm not saying it't got no flaws, but I see no reason to dislike it until you've watched all the episodes like I have.

By the way I was a young child/female that had cable and tv. If I'm talking about the g1 line at all means I've watched the show and the episodes!

Everything has its flaws but those flaws stand out like a cheetah in the arctic snow and are truly deplorable.

For Friendship is Magic to be what it is, this had to be created to improve upon. If anything, you should appreciate the improvements as well as the foundation, rather than just looking down on it because it's not the same.
