It's legal in the Columbia river. I've never been to Canada. Would love to visit your beautiful country to fish someday. My father has been there a lot.
@allaroundangler ya we got it pretty sweet here I live in Victoria BC Vancouver Island and do lots of fishing in Sooke and port renfrew we got probably the best chinook Salmon fishing right in our backyards my brothers friend fishes the sidney ferry terminal and when the ferry leaves he takes a troll right inside the dock and just got a 45lb chinook this weekend the big fraser river fish sometimes hang there cause of all the zincs and positive ions at the strucure cool eh !

We die the herring green, blue or fish it plain with rock salt and other brining ingredients.
