@uut0 solve centers and edge pairing using knowledge from the 4x4/5x5, and once you have the centers and edges done, solve like a 3x3 - considering the middle 4 layers as the 1 middle layer on the 3x3

Well if you've done the 5x5 and 4x4 there aren't any different parities so u can do them equally as easily but theres just more steps. I also have the 6x6 as well s 5x5 and 7x7 made by this company.

On topic: The v-cube 6 was stiff when I got it, but now after 5 solves, it's only popped on me once, so I'm satisfied. I am terrified to do your mod, so hopefully breaking it in will help.

it helps to break it in but not nearly as much as the pi mod. dont worry about it; first of all i would recommend taking your 6x6 apart and possibly lubricating it with silicone (if necessary) so you can get used to disassembling & reassembling it.

pi's videos really help for almost everything v-cube 6 :)

I method that I learned on the 4x4 is where you pair the centers, then the edges, & then solving it like a 3x3. They're are problems that come up when solving it as a 3x3 doesn't come up on a normal 3x3. That's parity. The 4x4 has two of them & the 5x5 has one. The 6x6 has both.

I'm not sure if it's bad, but Silicone is one of the most commonly good lubricants. That's what I use.

Well you can use the same algorithm for each. For edge paring, you grip two layers for R & L moves. For flipping one edge, you grip 3 layers, & for switching to adjacent corners you just grip the outer layers.

After switching two adjacent corners, you need to use the algorithm, 3u2 3r2 U2 3r2 R2 U2 3r2 3u2 for switching two oppsite edges without affecting the corners. Check out v-cubes(dot)com/notation.

The stickers were torn on both cubes, the plastic was shoddy, and on my 7x7 the centers continuously pop off while i'm solving it. What was your like when it arrived, I'm curious. Yes, I'll make a tutorial for the 7x7 when I get one. The V-Cube website said awhile ago that they will officially launch the cubes sometime this month (right now this is just a pre order period) so I want to see what happens to the prices before ordering it.

But from what I've seen, the 6x6 has the same mechanism as the 7x7. It's just that in the 6x6, the extra pieces in the 7x7 are hidden under the rest of the pieces of the 6x6.

It's actually not that hard if you know how to solve the 4x4 & 5x5. But making a good quality tutorial for this cube would quite the challenge. Also, before I'd even make one, I'd make tutorial for the 2x2, 4x4, & 5x5 first. Right now, I'm busy with other activities.

But there already are video how on to solve the 6x6 already up. Just search, "how to solve the 6x6" & you'll see them. (They are simulated ones though.)

your wrong launch is in september this is just the preorder period. There will likely not much change in the price of the cubes but Mr. Verdes is planning to get cheaper but longer shipping methods available
