  • Look at Davy back there. He's the coolest guy. He played snare for a small pipe band in WV that I was in. He does sculpting, poetry and write children's books. I would have never thought lol. His accent was so thick and scottish everytime he would talk to me at practice I'd just be like "Yeah, uh huh" and not know what he was saying lmao!

  • theme from last of the mohicans...the gael

  • I saw them at a festival over the course of several weeks, and they played the exact same 3 tunes over and over again...not very impressive. The drums are what make the band. I had a chance to meet Donnie though, and piper to piper, he's a good guy.

  • Just saw them at the Ohio Ren Fair....awesome!

  • The Pipe band I just got kicked out of (I was a "bad boy" I guess....Cairngorm Pipes & Drums of WARMINSTER, pa (U.S.A.) plays this but can't come close to this fantastic performance! Just saw these guys here in the U.S.

  • I love this music!!! greetings from germany^^

(does anybody know what the name of that song is?)

  • The Gael, I think it is.

  • i cant find this on itunes

  • I dont use itunes, so I dont know where to get it.

  • It's because it isn't on itunes. I asked them after their show at the merch table if their music was on itunes. Davy said "No lass, we aren't on itunes." he laughed. :/

  • ok thanks :) but there on last fm on stuff like tht but arewell

  • w Scotland free!!

  • Primal is a good word for it. It make you feel like fighting the Huns!

  • good lord it awakens something primal in you and you feel excited by the drumming down deep. it's ten times better in person though. I wanted to jump their bones. (except the lass)

  • That amazing!

  • slainte mhath!!!

  • Fantastique, on l'a dans le sang, et on l'aime , ou pas ...c'est selon

  • I found, but the sounds of different

  • The tune is called "The Gael",composed by Dougie MacLean...The Albannach version can be found on their album "Eye Of The Storm"

  • I have 2 albom, but i can't find this track

  • I believe it's Clannad-Gael

  • What this track? where I can download it

  • buy their cd off their web site

  • I LOVE ALBANACH! ive seen them in concert so many times. and me and the bag piper talked alot at this festival and i got to stand in the front row at 1 of their concerts, it was amazing!!

  • i love this tune

  • DJHulkHusky, DJ stands for dick jerker by anychance

  • .........Disc Jockey im pretty sure.

you know, the title of the dude spinning the music in a club where the real bitches are at.

these fagz dont get any play

  • Well i am pretty confident from your dumb comment that disc jockey you are not. I would say more....Dick Jockey...the rider of dicks.

Yes the piper and "fat drummer" are the backboneof this song BUT any "DJ" with any ear for music and sound would realise that the other band members change the sound of themusic with their input (or at times lack of) for example the 1:28 mark. Any good DJ wouldnt make stupid comments as yours as they would appreciate all music and the subtle changes within it.

  • ...arripiglt!

  • Excellent music, just need to find cd so can play it more often!

  • ich liebe die schotten und ihre musik

  • awesome

  • I saw them in concert today (they in played thirty minute intervals three times) And they were freaking awesome!

  • Heyho Albnannach!!! Great to see you guys are still keeping busy and rippin it up as usual. Looking forward to seeing you all again during the Edinburgh festival.

    Chick Allan

  • It would be awesome to put together a cultural music/drumming performance showing the influence of the drum over different cultures. For example, this awesome band Albannach could stand toe to toe with a Japanese Taiko drum ensemble.

I wonder - what other cultures have drumming like this in their music?

  • YES!!!

  • That is pretty damn good!

  • I met these guys today at our local renn faire and seeing them play live and meeting them blew my mind.

    War music, indeed.

I listen to metal and punk when Im feeling rowdy and Ive never heard somethign that made me want to either go get in to a wre4stling match or have rough- well you know- like their music.

Jamsie (long haired) is crazy silly.

  • POG MO THOIN, I"M IRISH

  • now thats just rude, have a nice day :P

  • Spncr - For reasons as this are we subdued nations. Friend, don't let hatred divid us. We need unity to stand when tyrants tread.

  • god am so glad am scottish born and bread in the hills of this land !!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Oh yeah, they're awesome, but a recording is nothing compared to seeing them live. And unless their clothes are specifically suited to it, most people don't like dancing when they're in faire garb (mine weighs in excess of 60 pounds), but it's really really hard to stay still in Albannach's audience!

  • Saor Alba

    Love the music...love the country

yes I like Albanian music, some serb..but Cretan I do like-pure ethnic, but you can change my mind it is always open.

  • Incredible band. 15 minutes of their music was enough for me to want to buy their album. I love how much effort they put into their playing.

  • They are the single most powerful band you will ever see on stage. This is what makes Scotland great!

  • I don't know about that?

  • Saw these guys n gals at Maryland Renaissance Festival yesterday...AMAZING!

  • hey... it`s the soundtrack from..

    LAST MOHICAN ^^

  • You damn right!!!! One of the best soundtracks ever (next to Brave heart, ok tied). Friend told me about them and as other message above, but Damn their good.

  • Yup,it's named the Gael actually, think Dougie Maclean composed it...

  • I`m an albanian and I love Albannach.

  • go scottish, what clan are you, im a robertson

  • i'm ukrainian and totally love the band. i think that good folk-music has some secret ingredient, which speaks directly to your soul, to this indeginous primal-human in every of us, irrespectively where you are from.

Check this stuff here out some nice bulgarian folk.

    watch?v=IZ4LCejQg8o&feature=related

  • amazing music!

  • I love ALbannach! If anyone in Virginia wants to see them, the first weekend in October they are playing at the Rockahock Campground for the Williamsburg Scottish Festival.

  • The Scottish blood in me burns with pride! Scotland forever!
