He was a 250 champion in the late 70's, even inducted last year in the motorcycle hall of fame and that's about the same time he died, he was doing a canyon ride with some friends and was killed. I discovered that he was the guy who was in this movie as mostly a back-up rider and there are a couple of scenes with him and Kenny Roberts at the now defunct Riverside raceway dicing it pretty good. He had a Motorcycle dealership in San Diego and just started a family. I think he was about 20 here.
The camera rig was pretty big too!
