Thanks for the lesson - some of the most obvious things aren't obvious to everyone, and you filled a knowledge gap for many! On the other hand, if the unions members weren't overpaid, we wouldn't have so many jobs at risk/car companies at risk. Car companies that pay workers a living but more modest wage are doing just fine, and their workers are pretty secure in their jobs.
