I come from a very different perspective. Jesus was born of a virgin and that means that his fathers sperm, Joseph's sperm was not used in the formation of the embryo that developed in Mary's womb. Synagogues of that day were just public gathering places which means that the few times Jesus preached at synagogues certainly did not indicate jewishness. @ImagesByDavid He might have disliked them, but he was a Pharisee himself, otherwise he wouldn't be referred to as Rabbi (This is why Pharisaical Judaism is also known as Rabbinical Judaism), a term used ONLY in Pharisaical (distorted) belief system. What he disliked was what happened to the priesthood after the Seleucid Empire took over - which turned the priesthood to a political power more than a religious one which was bought by money and/or violence - distorting the Jewish religion.

How can a person call themselves Christian, quote Scripture and not see the simple truth of who Jesus is.

@ImagesByDavid There's nothing to deny about it. Anyone who knows anything about early Christianity and Christians knows that. The theory he brings forth doesn't even appear in the most controversial fringe science i've ever heard of. It simply sounds like an antisemite who has a problem with Jesus being a "brown-skin hook-nose" Jew :-)

the jews love to spread lies that the leader of their enemy is jewish in order to plant seeds of doubt among the masses. The jews attempted this same psyche warfare tactic on Adolf Hitler that was done to Jesus 2000 years ago but it failed. Neither Jesus nor Hitler had any jewish lineage. The jews are all trained up from infancy to be pathological liars thru the gradual indoctriantion into judaism which is total fiction. Ahmadinejad of Iran also has no jewish lineage.

I just changed my position on whether Jesus was a Jew. I now think that he was not, because of what Harold Wallace Rosenthal said in his interview ---- that most Jews do not consider Jesus to have been a Jew, even though most Jews regard being Jewish as a matter of race, and not of faith.
But I must defer to ( non -Zionist ) fundamentalist Christians on this one. The Jews are very aggressive in wanting Christians to change their views, such as on the Jews having killed Jesus.

@AuntieZionist I like ur way of searching, I am myself interested in anthropology and apply more or less the same rules when it is to trace the ancestry of one group of people etc. when searching myself through combining facts. The question here that arises though is if Jesus was not a "jew" then what was he? What were the Gallileans, what culture/language they got at different eras? Why is the story of all the tribes of Israel connected? Is it only due to close proximity?

D) Jew is from the name Judah, no one before the 12 sons of Jakob could be referred to as Jewish - the word wasn't invented yet. Once the Israelites (10 tribes of ten sons of Jakob) migrated by force to the land of Judah, they adopted the name Judeans, since that's were they lived. After that the Judean kingdom spread again to most of Israel, but the term Judean stack.

B) There are many Jews today who are not Pharisees, like Karaites, Netzarim and more.

And how does any of this confirm that those who say they are Israelites actually are what they claim?. Where is the known, provable Israelite samples of DNA hidden? Historical evidence trumps scientific evidence in this case. Where is the Israelite DNA control sample, and how is it authenticated?.

You're right he technically wasn't a Jew. A Jew is a descendant of the tribe of Judah. Jesus was a member of the priestly class. He used his priestly knowledge of the kabbalah to perform unneeded miracles and cause civil unrest. Therefore he was deserving of the death penalty.

Back your claim up with real scripture. Show yourself reproved. The Israelites were of one lineage. JACOB. Yahweh frowned upon intermarrying with other nations. Now, look up the words nation and generation in the Strongs, and transliterate it for yourself.. Moses handed the law and ordinances to the Israelites, Some of those laws and ordinances, but not all, were intended for the "strangers and sojourners" that went with the Israelites. But I admit, the music is a bit misleading. So I advise you to turn the sound off, and read each phrase, and then come back with your conclusion..

I wouldnt know WHAT the koran says personally. I only know what I've been told. Never read it. But I could give many verses from the NT that prove that this is the case. Eyes to see, Ears to hear.. The slang word for Judean is Jew. The Pharisees were not Israelites. Yashua was. Yashua was not a Judean, but of Galilee. Not my word, Yahwehs. Take it up with Him.

In fact, the Christian religion pretty much crumbles if Jesus were not a Jew. It's a major tenet of the religion. The savior has to be a Jew that perfectly obeyed all Jewish laws. The sacrificial lamb without blemish.

Pretty weak. Two references where some stranger asks a question ASSUMING that Yashua is either a Judean, or come from a far away place looking for Him. Study the split between Jacob and Esau.
