  • A fact that Mormonism does not reveal is that over 3 million people have left the LDS church in the last 5 years due in part to UTLM.org

  • “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a FEW find it. Matthew 7;13,14 Large membership does not prove validity, the Catholics and the Muslims have Mormonism out numbered. True Christianity of the bible is the narrow way that Jesus is talking about in the above verse and not false religions from of old or restored.

  • It is very interesting to note that the body language and the looks on the faces of the people in the scene of the congregation demonstrate boredom and disinterest. These people look like they would rather be somewhere else.

  • LDS are a cult

  • @jayhawk88z You're face is a cult.

Yeah, I can make assumptions too.

  • Comment removed

  • As cults go, mormonism is one of the nuttier ones.Male chauvinist, white supremacist, and homophobic to boot.

  • L.D.S. sells more underwear than Marks and Spencer, they harbour a fetish, for they be faggots !

  • blacks can only get in to heaven as slaves!!!

for a white woman to wed a black man is punishable by death!!!

    Mormons are brainwashed

their church hides many things from their followers

Just as the vatican does with theirs

  • Thank you posting this beautiful message. Praise be to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! Hail to the Prophet Joseph Smith for his courage and faith. Hail to our current Prophet, Thomas S. Monson. May all humble and sincere followers of Christ around the globe who seek the truth, join with us, and listen to the message that the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings. It is a message of peace and love in an often frightened, hostile, immoral and confused world.

  • Joseph Smith was a faggot. A closet gay, so was Hitler, so was Stalin. Faggot's simple as that. Who owns the wealth ? You guessed it, faggots !

  • @Retromantra

    Bizarre.

  • @Retromantra If you can't beat them, join them. Otherwise, you'll be working for them.

  • At least they're letting black people join these days.

  • @jtbovis

Blacks have always been able to join.

  • @MsEndure2end They could not become priests however until 1978.

  • @nsofast

That's right. In 1978 those who had always been members, or those who had recently joined were eligible for the priesthood if they were worthy, the standard for everyone.

  • @TubeNumber1USA

3- But NO ONE can prove that they also have Japanese ancestry.

If the tests cannot find any mtDNA from their Japanese grandmother, who is alive & well, how reliable are those tests in finding Israelite mtDNA from 2,600 years ago?

The lack of Japanese mtDNA in those children does NOT mean that they are not part Japanese.

The lack of Israelite DNA in the American Indians does not disprove the Book of Mormon.

    end....

  • @TubeNumber1USA

2- Our 2nd daughter married a man whose father's paternal line is Danish, & his mother's line is Japanese. They have two sons & a daughter. All three children have the mtDNA of their mother, which is my wife's mtDNA, which is from Sweden. The boys have their father's Y-chr, which is from Denmark.

Using the same tests that Murphy & Southerton used, one can prove that those children have Swedish ancestry, & that the boys also have Danish ancestry.

    cont....3

  • @TubeNumber1USA

The DNA used to condemn the BoM is mitochondrial DNA(mtDNA). Women pass mtDNA to their children. All of us inherited our mtDNA from our mothers.

The other genetic marker being used is the Y-chromosome(Y-chr), which is passed by men to their sons.

Tom Murphy & Simon Southerton say the BoM is false because Middle East mtDNA cannot be found among the American Indians. Southerton also says the same thing about the Y-chr.

    cont....2

  • There is a passage in the dea sea scrolls which reads, beware of the mormons for they be of the tribe of faggots. Discuss.

  • @Retromantra

Some sections of the Book of Mormon were written several hundred years before the Dead Sea Scrolls.

  • @TubeNumber1USA ... You imply that those born in the church don't REALLY believe. Is that true of every faith? What a horrible idea that we are automatically disqualified for believing something just because our parents also did. The church doesn't report the number of "in-actives" because it's difficult to determine. But that doesn't mean we're ignorant to the issue.

  • @TubeNumber1USA ... if you can provide me with court documents stating that Joseph Smith was convicted of any crime, perhaps then I would consent to that, but otherwise, I cannot.

  • @TubeNumber1USA ... Actually DNA evidence doesn't prove anything of the sort. You haven't actually read the original studies. I can say this for a certainty, because I have. The ORIGINAL studies, that were only paraphrased in the one's that you are referring to, had no intention of proving or disproving Jewish ancestry. The studies were on completely different subjects, and then taken out of context to harass the Mormons.

  • @TubeNumber1USA ... So if I ask a Prophet if he likes Baseball, and he replies that he's not really into sports, does that mean that all sports are abominable? Would you take away a Prophet's right to have an personal opinion? A Prophet is only a Prophet when called upon, by the Lord, to act in that capacity.

  • @TubeNumber1USA The church has taken no position on an official geography so no the Book of Mormon does not say what "US state" anything may or may not have occurred in. Moroni did not die nor take his last breath at the final battle. He took the plates and buried them where he was instructed too. I don't think we have any idea how much longer after the battle he had them but long enough to write several more plates of content. months or years? You plainly dont know the subject

  • @TubeNumber1USA Ah well now everything is so clear. That like saying that CS Lewis plagiarized the Bible because Snakes talk in it and he made talking animals in his novel's. That's the oldest accusation in the book and it doesn't hold water. No one knows what JS was thinking or where his motivations came from enough to declare them authoritatively. Come on. That's like em saying to you "Why did you beat your wife! Now please prove to us you never beat your wife" baseless

  • @TubeNumber1USA Attack? No man I am saying DNA would not create faith or rove the church was true to him. If DNA was found would you actually think it might mean the Church was true. Fat chance. It's just blunt weapon to beat people over the head with until it's proven wrong and then it's discarded without a second thought. and the next blunt weapon is picked up. See we are encouraged to defend but we are told not to go trolling around attacking or questioning anyones faith.

  • @TubeNumber1USA I would agree with you BUT we rarely have enough valid information to know exactly what was prophesied, by whom was it recorded and then authorized as valid by the original source. I have examined many of these supposed false prophesies and they were not anything of the such. Many were dependent upon the individual making particular choices. which they did not. Every promise has a give and take. If you don't hold up your end you cant expect the benefits.

  • @TubeNumber1USA Well there's a difference between the number of records that we have and the number of PRACTICING members. I think that you will find that this is a trend that spans multiple denominations. My in-laws are devout Catholics, but almost never participate in church activities. But that doesn't mean that they aren't Catholic. This is what we classify as "non-practicing" or "inactive". It doesn't mean they're NOT members, they're just not "practicing".

  • I would like to clear up a few things about the martyrdom of Joseph and Hyrum Smith: 1.) they were snuk weapons. This is not entirely accurate. The jailor gave them HIS weapons because he knew the mob was coming to kill them. 2.) Joseph was in jail, having been convicted of X. Joseph was never convicted. He was charged with crimes over and over again by his persecutes, but not ONCE was he ever found guilty of the crimes which were laid against him. He was an innocent man killed in cold blood.

  • @TubeNumber1USA If the number of people who actively participate is the relevant number for you then the 7 Million figure is what you need. Many people come in an out of activity. The 14 Million is the number of people who have joined the church at some point and have not actively asked to have their names removed. That is the broadest membership number. To compare that with the Christmas mass Catholics would be a good equivalent. 3-4 times per year is usually considered inactive

  • when an angel of the lord appeared unto Joseph smith he said his name was Moroni and that god had a work for Joseph smith to do. He also said that Joseph smith's name would be used for good and for evil.

  • Awesome, Thank you!. Its sad to see people still trying to end mormonism even now going into 2012.

  • @Texas2Ohioandback The Muslim Faith gained 140 million new members last year.

  • @meshlife Keep something in mind: Islam is the fastest growing FORCED religion, meaning, in Saudi Arabia for example, there ain't many options out there. In September 1993, Sadeq Mallallah, 23, was beheaded in Qateef on a charge of apostasy for owning a Bible

  • Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5, 2 Timothy 1:9, (2 Nephi 25:23>>>Romans 11:6), (Alma 7:10>>>Matthew 2:1), D&C 87:3, (Moses 1:15, Revelation 22:8-9>>>Matthew 14:33, John 9:38), (Moses 1:33>>>Job 9:8, Isaiah 44:24), (Isaiah 42:8>>>John 17:5), (Journal of Discourses volume 13 p. 271>>>Journal of Discourses volume 13 p. 264) (Moroni 8:8>>>Psalms 51:5, Psalms 58:3) John 1:1, Hebrews 1:8, Zechariah 12:10, Colossians 1:16, Acts 5:3-4

  • @blakodeel Someone has been reading scripture. Good for you!

  • @Texas2Ohioandback If you actually look at the records, the Mormon church has gone from approximately 4% growth per year in 1990 to under 2%. And when you consider that more and more people are becoming wise to the false teachings of the church and leaving, approximately 100,000 per year, the numbers aren't really growing as much as the LDS make out

  • @tattoodfreeek I agree the church's growth is slowing but not for the reasons you say. It's growth is slowing because the general membership is falling for the false teachings of the hedonistic world. As their example and difference from the world weakens so does the attractiveness of the church to those who are seeking the truth. It has always been the same anytime the church has been on the earth. Men slump towards Gomorrah and wonder why God seems to stop blessing them

  • @myeyepie There is no truth in the church. Not in the LDS church. And the whole restoration of Christ's church thing, seeing as He never actually set up a church, how could it be restored.

There may be many reasons for the LDS corp membership falling, I myself left because it is a man made church, now claiming to be Christian, when it's teachings are anything but Christian.

In this day and age, with information at our fingertips, it doesn't take long to find out it's false

  • @myeyepie The reasons are more closely related to the advances in scholarship that make the claims of the Book of Mormon dubious at best. Joseph Smith couldn't have imagined that one day, it would be quite easy to determine that his historical account of the peoples of North America is false.

  • @YourLocalRealist I would agree that it is easy to find pseudo scholarship to help you feel better about calling the restored gospel untrue. Yet I can also find lots of Scholarship that is grueling to plow through that makes the case undeniable to me that Joseph is a Prophet and that the Book of Mormon is scripture. I think God keeps things like this squarely teetering on the edge of plausibility so that Faith is always a choice that we have to make. He never forces us.

  • @myeyepie Listen, I understand that it is essential for Mormons to be able to defend their "restored gospel." However, there really isn't a great deal of scholarship needed to debunk it. The God of the Bible speaks plainly enough so that a child can understand. To say that "God keeps things like this squarely teetering on the edge of plausibility" is simply ludicrous and laughable. The qualifications for a prophet are quite clear. Joseph Smith simply did not measure up biblically. Sorry.

  • @YourLocalRealist "The qualifications for a prophet are quite clear. Joseph Smith simply did not measure up". Would you mind sharing what those qualifications are and how Joseph Smith failed to fulfill them? I am genuinely curious :) You see, Realist, there's no need for condescension. If you have something to share, especially if it would help us to better understand your position, then please share! Don't just allude it to us - leaving us with a cliff hanger. Tell us! Thanks

  • @fubecafy I don't mean to sound condescending. If one looks at the claims of Joseph Smith throughout his life, the falsehoods and lack of integrity are glaring! Deuteronomy 18:21-22 is a basic example of the test of a prophet. Smith fails miserably on numerous accounts. I'd list some, but they are out there on a plethora of websites. However, I understand that most Mormons will not examine them. The family & societal pressure is sometimes too great to overcome.

  • @YourLocalRealist Thank you for your candor! And I hope I, in turn, don't come off condescending, but our own standards are higher than the simple test in Deuteronomy and Joseph Smith still stands up against our scrutiny. I know it's a long shot but I would encourage you to read "Joseph Smith Among the Prophets by Truman Madsen. It lists 10 traits that characterizes prophets as found in Judeo-Christian literature and shows how Joseph Smith can be shown to possess all 10 traits.

  • @YourLocalRealist You're right that most Mormons won't examine the plethora of websites that denounce Joseph Smith. This isn't due to a lack of desire to learn or test their faith (we're actually encouraged to test every claim of the church for ourselves) but because the vast majority of such sites are only interested in "Mormon bashing" and not on actual and objective consideration. If there are a few that are NOT like that..well we'd have to wade through a lot of negatives to find it, ya know?

  • Joseph and Hyrum were brutally murdered and that must never be forgotten. They were more sinned against than sinning because of this. However, as always, it is never as simple as that. Joseph was guilty of wrongfully destroying the Nauvoo Expositor. They told me as I was growing up that he was right to destroy the press because it was nothing but a tissue of heretical lies, but then no one has actually identified those lies. What lies?

  • @verminpants Perhaps it is more correct to suggest that the Expositor intended to print truths that Joseph wanted to remain hidden. But as Jesus said, all sinful practices must be revealed. For example, Joseph married lots of women. Some of those women were already married to other men. Others were just teenagers. The youngest being Helen Mar Kimball who was only 14 at the time of her marriage to Joseph. In fact, Joseph's polygamy fell outside the remit of his own revelations (see D&C 132).

  • @verminpants So to pull things into some kind of proper perspective. The whole affair was a sticky nasty mess. Joseph did wrong (as we all do from time to time) but his behaviour did not justify his horrific and terrifying murder. And it was cold blooded, wicked murder. It would have been far better had Joseph accounted for his actions in court. Yes Joseph killed two men and injured one in the fight but then he is entitled to defend himself, absolutely. There is no crime in this.

  • @verminpants However, Joseph did not go 'like a lamb to the slaughter' as he said of himself, as opposed to Jesus who really did go like a lamb to the slaughter. He made no attempt to defend himself, he remained silent and suffered his execution because he was the fulfillment of centuries of practice, ritual and prophecy. Jesus really was the ultimate paschal lamb of God preparing for slaughter. And every sunday, we feast on the symbols of his flesh and blood. The lamb of God.

  • @Texas2Ohioandback Because you claim every person you have ever forcibly baptised living or dead!

  • @Texas2Ohioandback Very true.

  • Actually they were busted trying to escape after being accused of torching a rival newspaper for spreading tales of mulitple wives and adultery. A pistol was snuck in and two men were killed before Joseph and his brother were killed themselves. Joseph Smith was a convicted con artist. They believe white people are the purest race- all people were originally white, Africans were cursed by colour because they are descended from the first murderer- they can not enter the temple as they are "impure"

  • @michardav Siding with a murderous mob over a martyred man? So typical in our day, though why would your lies and distortions be any different than when Jesus Christ himself walked the earth?

  • @DefendingMormonism Which is the lie? Joseph Smith WAS caught trying to escape. He wasn't killed IN the jail. That is a fact. He was accused of torching a newspaper for reporting on the multiple, and in some cases adulterous, marriages. Two men in the mob WERE killed by either Hirman or Joseph by pistols snuck in to them. He WAS A CONVICTED CON ARTIST (divination). And Mormons believe that Africans carry the curse of Cain. So which is a lie? Be precise and I shall be happy to supply source.

  • @DefendingMormonism Typical in this day? How much longer will these later days be? Time to change the theme a bit maybe?

  • @DefendingMormonism How many men did Joseph Smith kill with his revolver when the mob came for him? Should a faithful "martyr" pull the temple down on his head when his time had come to die?

  • @meshlife really so smith cant defend himslef? haha what stupid and absurd comment

  • @michardav hey screwball joseph was tried 37 times and was never convicted of anything so get your facts straight!,you sure look dumb trying to explain mormonism.

  • @getdownto311 My facts straight? Oh you mean this one "It was charged that Joseph Smith was accused and found guilt of parting a local farmer from his money in a less than honest scheme, commonly known as 'money-digging' or 'glass-looking.' from the court records Chenango County, New York, jailhouse at Norwich, N.Y.discovered in 1971. Joseph confessed to the crime. Yup I sure look dumb.

  • @michardav yeah i get that much so he made a mistake so what? your point being?

  • @michardav @ Interesting. Ive never heard that one. Can you plse let me know wher I can find that information.nbChrist also charged convicted and crucified...falsely as were hundreds of His followers anciently. Early mormons were supposedly murdered hunted and lynchd just for being mormons. Could it be possible that Smith and all mormons were murdered killed and falsely accused in early mormon history.Possible you think???

  • @michardav what a rediculous comment! he wasnt killed in jail? nice spin on that you dweeb, yes he was shot and killed looking out into the mob from a cell window,im sure you got your info by talking to a wall you are a lunatic!

  • @getdownto311 Yea and he was never convicted of a crime too! I'm well aware of the Mormon's take in this, having been raised a Mormon and attended the LDS church for almost 20 years. But the TRUTH is he and his brother were planning an escape, they had pistols surreptiously brought to them (and liquor!!). This is why the five men (who hardly constitute a mob) were acquitted.

  • @michardav I know you can not be talking about Mormons! African Americans (and ALL other races) can hold the priesthood in the Mormon church. So apparently other races are not impure and CAN enter the temple. Get your facts right ====> And don't state what you can't prove. If you want proof of what I have said, go to any Mormon temple.

  • @cmjensen88 really? So I guess the president was lying when he admitted that until 1978 blacks COULD NOT hold the preisthood. And I have been to a Mormon temple, I was raised a Mormon, and I remember when a black family left when their son could not join the Scouts run by the Mormons. So what do YOU think president Hinckley meant when he said Africans couldn't be priest because they carried the seed of Cain? watch?v=KnV1ZHYeajA

  • @michardav And who were those two men who died? That was a false report you haven't done much research on.

  • @trencher7 So I guess the history of the church is a lie? i4m[]com/think/history/carthage-jail-smith[]htm WHO hasn't done much research? When I was a kid we were taught the two men were struck down by the hand of god himself.

  • @michardav I will ask you again. Who died? Where does it say they were struck by the hand of God? References?

  • @trencher7 Didn't you READ the link?"Of the three barrels discharged by Joseph, it is believed he hit three men: an Irishman named Wells-who was in the mob from his love of a brawl-in the arm; Voorhees-an oversized kid from Bear Creek known for his lack of good sense-in the shoulder; and a man named Gallagher-a Southerner from the Mississippi Bottom-in the face."

  • @trencher7 "Two other men were known to get hit in the hall, one a man named Townsend from Fort Madison, Iowa Territory, who died nine months later from the arm wound that wouldn't heal, and another named Mills, who was shot in the arm."

    - Elder Reed Blake, 24 Hours to Martyrdom, p. 129

  • @trencher7 "only three of the barrels, however, were discharged. I afterwards understood that two or three were wounded by these discharges, two of whom, I am informed, died." Testimony of Brother Taylor Official History of the Church, Vol. 7, p.100-103

Reporter John Hay, of identified three men who were shot by Joseph Smith: John Wills in the arm, William Vorhees in the shoulder, and William Gallagher in the face. Atlantic Monthly (December 1869) 671-678.

  • @michardav from the WIKI "...but there is no other evidence that any of them died as a result of the attack. Wills, Voras, Gallaher, and a Mr. Allen (possibly the fourth man) were all indicted for the murder of Joseph and Hyrum. Wills, Voras, and Gallaher, perhaps conscious that their wounds could prove that they were involved in the mob, fled the county after being indicted and were never brought to trial. There is no evidence that Wills, Voras, Gallaher, or Allen died from their wounds."

  • @michardav Yes, I am very familiar with that quote from History of the Church. Taylor was misinformed about their deaths. He was just communicating what he had heard and not saying he knew anyone died. So no, nobody died in the shootout except for those who were the targets for murder by the mob.

  • @trencher7 I have already said I was TAUGHT the two men were struck by the hand of god- by my sunday school teacher and later my seminary. I am unaware if it exists in official Mormon literature nor did I make that claim. If I were you I'ld read up a little on the history of the church.

  • @michardav Why would I need to read up more on Church history to know more about whatever your sunday school seminary teacher may have said??? So far I have been right on the issue not you.

  • @trencher7 No you asked for proof if anybody was killed, I supplied it. I gave you THREE different versions including a reporter. Two EXPLICITLY state that TWO men were killed, one shot in the face, one from wounds from a gunshot to the arm months later (hardly surprising). Nor is your quote accurate, the men WERE brought to trial (May the following year Murray McConnell prosecuting) but witnesses perjured themselves, the jury found the men not guilty.

  • @michardav Those men were injured as they tried to kill Joseph. Where is the evidence any of the mob died in the shootout?

  • @trencher7 I already answered your question, you refuted with a quote that left out Townsend (the man shot in the arm who died later) You have not refuted my evidence. I also showed that the men were indicted AND brought to trial which shows your statement lacks crediblilty. Maybe try defending something easier; like how Smith translated a peice of papyri, claiming to know Egyptian, and yet when the piece surfaces, turns out to be nothing like the "Book of Abraham"

  • @michardav The earlier quote from the WIKI involved others who we weren't talking about except for Gallagher . You said two men died and only gave names of those injured. Are you trying to say that one man who died 9 months later qualifies as two men dying in a shootout? Give me names and timeframe. And even if there were two men who died that would have been justified for what they did, but I have seen no evidence of it so far.

  • @trencher7 If you wish to say that church leaders were willing to lie to make it appear that these men were punished by god, I'll concede it's possible. But if a man dies 9 months after you shoot him from gangrene as a result of the bullet wound then you are responsible. And yes, they are murderers. I am not disputing that. But it seems to me that mormons were quite willing to take Taylor and Blake's testimony at face value. If Taylor is untrustworthy then ALL his story is suspect.

  • @michardav I have said nothing about them being punished by God. I have no idea where you are geting that about the people we are talking about. Taylor just said what he had been "informed" of. It was just rumor.

  • @trencher7

Then you need to read the complete testimony of "Brother" Taylor. As I said before you really should educate yourself about early church history. It was not a "rumour" he said he heard it from the people who treated townsend.

  • @michardav I did read it and Taylor was misinformed about what happened. So I know that in History rumors are told. What of it? He only was saying what he had heard. And where do you get "and two men were killed before Joseph and his brother were killed themselves"??? I take it you are not claiming that anymore?

  • @trencher7 Still claiming it. If I shoot you first, then but you LATER succumb, it was still from my hand. I have killed you FIRST. If I die on scene, I can not very well come from beyond the grave to kill you. I killed you with my bullet which hit you FIRST. You keep on asking for facts, I supply. Where are you getting the information that Taylor was misinformed? It was taken as church doctrine and part of the official church history. How was Blake misinformed?

  • @michardav LOL!!!! Now you are just wasting my time. All can see here how ridiculous you are being now that its clear he did not kill two men and not before they themselves were murdered. Goodbye.

  • @trencher7 In other words you DON'T have any information on why Blake was misinformed. When cornered you try to harp on trivial details. You ignore the big ones like Joe's lechery, or his translation of the book of Abraham, because you can not defend it. You ignore that I have already proved your source erroneous. If I say a man was shot with a '38 and it turns out it was a '45 you're type will say "See, a lie! The man was not shot!" Yes I'm quite familiar with your type.

  • @michardav Umm, you are the one claiming that JS shooting a man in the arm in self defense - and that individual possibly dying of it 9 months later (no evidence given that was the cause) - somehow means he killied TWO men before he himself was killed that same day. I am not wasting time with such idiocy. And nice try trying to throw out red herrings and switching the subject. That is typical anti-LDS practice. Bye for good now.

  • @trencher7 I am NOT claiming, the HISTORY of the Church is claiming it. Again you offer NO proof that the claims THE CHURCH made are false. Or are you now saying the church never made such claims? And AGAIN you have offered NO REFUTATION for Blake's testimony. I HAVE given evidence it is YOU who offer no evidence (and Wikipedia DOES NOT make the claims you make, but then again you're not quoting from Wiki PEDIA) Yes I'm quite familiar with your type.

  • @trencher7Bills of indictment were against Levi Williams, Mark Aldrich, Jacob Davis, William Groover, Thomas Sharp, John Willis, William Vorhees, William Gallagher and another only known as Allen- Townsend wasn't indicted as he was dead. It should be noted that the act of declaring Martial Law carried the death penalty in of itself. Early Mormons did not vigorously pursue as his lechery (he married two 14 year olds and had adulterous affiars) was an embarassment. He was a better martyr.

  • "...The two youths eventually exploited the incident and became useless as witnesses. However, their testimony as to seeing Wills, Voras, and Gallaher, all wounded, on the road between Carthage and Warsaw, were sufficient for indictment. The three indicted men were never arrested, nor did they appear at the trial."

  • @trencher7 "The next May, all the defendants appeared according to agreement, to stand their trial. They began by filing their affidavit that the county commissioners who selected the array of jurors for the week were prejudiced;" Atlantic mounthly, December 1869 pg 678. Where are you getting your information?

  • @trencher7 But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in My name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that prophet shall die. And if you say in your heart, 'How shall we know the word which the Lord has not spoken?' "When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the thing does not happen or come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously; you shall not be afraid of him." (Deu 18:20-22)

  • @michardav It's great to see someone else has done the research!! I've found from several different sources that Jo Smith died with a gun in his hand!

  • @michardav I don't think those were tales of multiple wives and adultery.

  • @ThreeLions89 Nice but after readied your previous comments, you need a proper English.

  • @dunnooooo1234789 readied? buhahahahahahahah

  • @tamasandyrapist

Am I moron? Oh right, I just posted discrimination against religion like an holocaust wanting to murder many children and plus America. Oh what next, become rapist to rape many women I want, I bet its you, tamasandy.

  • @dunnooooo1234789 calling you stupid is childish, but your insults aren't?

haha. you are as dumb as a box of rocks! that is not the definition of racism...

    your english is still terrible.

  • @tamasandy Saying my english is terrible but your comments sound like childish and an ass that fucking by homo. Its define by racism, sexism. Look it up, retardant.

"a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others. " ~dictionary. Don;t believe me then go back to the ocean that where you live so shark would have a dinner.

  • @dunnooooo1234789 you just proved yourself wrong. that definition has nothing to do with religion.

you don't sound like a mormon. but, you do sound like a moron.

go learn better english and then comeback.

  • @tamasandy Oh jeez, I didn't waste my time on posting discrimination on here, saying repeating "dummy, dummy, and dumb". Lol. Talking about 3 yrs old kid. I just taunting to your ass because you're just sound like an asshole have no idea what religion is about, plus it "Latter-Day of Jesus Christ of Saint". Don't believe, oh right, You don't. Just go back to watch your favorite show, Cartoon Network. Finally, you called me an idiot. Perfect job for kiddo.

  • @dunnooooo1234789 yeah, you just waste your time showing everyone how stupid you are and how bad your english is. i know more about the lds church then you do. i know more then you probably ever will since you can barely spell, read, or define simple words.

your english sucks. i'm sorry you're stupid.

  • @tamasandy "you are as dumb as a box of rocks! " "question marks are for questions, dummy."

Is all you got? Dumb and dummy? Mmm, calling me a dumb, while I calling you many shits...Awesome.

  • But we are LDS is not correct to say we are mormons.

  • Elders Travis Miller and Nick Krupa, who, despite their titles, are two young missionaries, ages 23 and 22, assigned to Rapid City with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They have spent the past two years knocking on the doors of strangers to introduce people to their Mormon faith.

“It’s a freedom, that when you look at much of the rest of the world, we have that’s pretty unusual. I’m so grateful for that,” Miller said.

  • Nick Krupa, left, of Houston, Texas, and Travis Miller of Seattle, Wash., are Mormon missionaries in Rapid City. Krupa and Miller said they are thankful to have the freedom of religion because they're able spread the word of Jesus Christ.

  • The Western Force Super rugby franchise has snared former budding New Zealand NRL star Jordan Rapana on his return from a two-year Mormon mission in Britain. The 21-year-old Rapana has agreed to a code switch which will see him reunited with his older ..

  • Western Force snaffle Kiwi-born Mormon

  • religion editor Dan Gilgoff recently posted a video that accurately clarifies common misconceptions people have of the Church, while also explaining a few of the Church's core beliefs. For example, Gilgoff explains that the Church's official name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Gilgoff also points out that the Church considers the Book of Mormon to be scripture alongside the Bible, and stopped the practice of polygamy in 1890 -- more than 120 years ago.

  • CNN Religion Editor Offers Informative Explanation of Mormonism

  • As national and worldwide attention is increasingly focused on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the need to clearly explain the Church's background and core doctrines to curious outsiders becomes more and more important.

  • Ask a Latter-day Saint what the fundamental principle of Mormonism is and you're likely to get a variety of answers. She might say "testimony." After all, we believe that the knowledge of God's truth is ultimately a matter of personal revelation, of which we can testify. Or she might say "the gift of the Holy Ghost," something that we believe we receive at confirmation, immediately after baptism. It is easy to imagine someone else saying "the belief in eternal families."

  • to quote Winston Churchil" This may not be the end but it is the end of the begining" For a great treat go on this youtube and type in Andrea Bocelli best song ever withthe tabernacle chior you will love it.

  • "I would that ye should come unto Christ, who is the Holy One of Israel, and partake of his salvation, and the power of his redemption. Yea, come unto him, and offer your whole souls as an offering unto him, and continue in fasting and praying, and endure to the end; and as the Lord liveth ye will be saved."

     Joseph Smith Jr.

  • ‎He underwent great trials up to and including his martrydom in this jail on July 27, 1844. He was a great man, members of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints do not worship him they are only thankful for what he has done to bring us all closer to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

  • if only it HAD ended along with the rightful assasination of these brutal murdering savage false prophets of hell, if only today's America were so dedicated to preserving true doctrine and the right preaching of the true Gospel of Christ!

  • @bronco98765 So you are advocating the assassination of religious leaders and the extermination of a religion in a country that was founded for the express purpose of religious freedom. My ancestors came over on the Mayflower. You wouldn't have your choice of religion if it were not for my ancestors and me. Do us all a favor and remove your post.

  • Sidney Rigdon and Joseph Smith created the biggest fraud in history, when they adapted Solomon Spalding's Unpublished Manuscript Found. They plagurised what was intended as a work of fiction, claiming it to be divine revelation.200 years later D.N.A. evidence has exposed these two con men. Now we all know what the prophet has known for years.

  • @Retromantra You have no idea what you're talking about.

  • @Retromantra You think the Book of Mormon is a modified novel? Are freaking kidding me? Seriously what kind of idiots do you think would believe that? Sigh If there was DNA evidence showing Jews in America that wouldn't make a bit of difference to you anyway. Not a tad. Doesn't mater to you the hundreds of other proofs that have been used against the Book of Mormon were proven later to be false. None of that matters just the current flavor of the month DNA research.

  • Unfulfilled prophecies... LOL... Tell me, how many years has it taken to fulfill John's prophecies and are they all fulfilled yet? How about Daniel? Isaiah?

When the LDS church has been around as long as the Islamic religion, its size will dwarf the Islamic religion.

And the fact that the church has grown by 2 million within the past 7 years must have no meaning for you. It was at 1 million in 1947. Yes, it is spectacular that the gospel is reaching so many. Sorry you disagree.

  • @JackNimble61 lol? are you a 14 yr old girl?

john, daniel, isaiah. yeah, don't believe em either.

    a couple of your prophecies:

1832 - zion and it's temple will be built in independence, missouri in this generation... new york and boston will be destroyed if they reject the gospel. The hour of their judgment is nigh.

tell me, how many generations beyond 1832 have to pass before "this generation" ends.

lds will dwarf the islamic religion? another prophecy? wouldn't islam continue to grow too? yep.

  • @tamasandy Those that have ears to hear, let them hear.

  • @JackNimble61 blah blah blah...

so, no use for critical thinking, huh?

  • @tamasandy That's not critical thinking. BTW, what belief system do YOU follow?

  • @JackNimble61 you're completely right. believing in a "prophet" who gives false prophecies (among other things)... involves no critical thinking.

    i don't follow.

  • @tamasandy So your belief system is to stay around and mock others and make claims that lack validation. Good plan...:S

  • @JackNimble61 haha... good one. claims that lack validation? you mean the same claims you couldn't give a straight answer to? great comeback brother jack. where's the validation in answering a question with a bible quote? are you aware that most of the world doesn't accept that either?

so, not agreeing with you and questioning your beliefs is mocking? well, i'm sorry if i've hurt your feelings, but i'm entitled to my opinion just as you are your beliefs (despite their lack of validtion).

  • @tamasandy You lack understanding. That's fine. But you're also not looking to find it either. You're taking the word of people that are not part of the LDS church of those that know. It's like going to a member of Hezbollah and expecting him to give you the straight scoop on Judaism.

  • @JackNimble61 still trying to convince me your right without answering questions, huh? i simply gave you 2 prophecies and you can't explain them because they're obviously false. what's not to understand here?

bad argument... information is easy to get these days... welcome to 2011.

"taking the word of people..."? did i provide false info? are you saying those prophecies were never given? well, they were and you can't explain them away with faith alone, so you're argument is wasted here.

  • @tamasandy I suppose you base your argument on the definition of the word "generation" which can either mean a liter man's generation of 25-120 years. The fact that "generation" can also elude to a dispensation or era escapes you. You hear what you want to hear and ignore explanations when they are given. So saying the temple would be built in this "generation" can mean "durung this dispensation".

  • There is also the fact that prophecy is sometimes conditional and the Latter-day Saints had done acted in some way to make them unworthy to receive certain blessings. If you disagree with that then you also have to put the same test to the prophets of the Bible and Moses, Jonah, Isaiah, and Hezekiah would also fail your test.

  • @tamasandy Are you going to call John the Revelator a liar because he wrote that Christ told him he would "come quickly" or that "things would shortly come to pass" and it has been two millennia since those words were written?

Don't presume that you know more about, or have more insight of, those prophecies than the one that made them. There are other prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled as well. These ARE the end times and things WILL get worse before they get better.

  • @JackNimble61 yes, i will call john the revelator a liar... because i don't believe him. i'll put the same test to your biblical prophets as well. you forget easily... i don't follow. you don't see me using a book you don't believe in to argue my stance. i give you common sense and you respond with redefining the word "generation". this is easily refuted. a generation is a generation... you're obviously a faithful member of your church and because of that, no real solid answers can be given.

  • @JackNimble61 it never ceases to amaze me how the very religious can twist words like politicians. i'd love to hear your take on the adam-God doctrine, the egyptian papyrus, the kinderhook plates, etc... i wouldn't be surprised if you think monson speaks directly to God.

i understand why you believe, but you don't seem to understand why many do not.

"don't presume that you know more about... those prophecies than the one that made them." really? don't believe everything you read.

  • @tamasandy You know what never ceases to amaze me? When a non-Christian purposely goes to a religious video on YT, starts mocking and distorting the teachings of that religion, and then gets all bent out of shape when they are told they are being less than honest. Face it. You came here looking for a fight and when we defend against your attacks, you act affronted. We know more about our religion than you do. If you knew more than us, you'd be LDS yourself.

  • @JackNimble61 another sad assumption, brother jack. i spent 26 years in your church. the reason why i'm no longer lds is because i now know more.

distorting teachings? it's you who distorts them. you're telling me that a church leader can stand before the church and spout off anything and the members have to then deceifer it. if God wants his "true church" to know his word, i'm sure he won't tell them in code. face it. you can't explain much of the church's history with valid arguments.

  • @tamasandy I'm sorry you are misled by the craftiness of men and no longer accept the gospel. It's always sad when I hear of someone wasting their future.

  • @JackNimble61 I'm sorry you are misled by the craftiness of smith and can't accept the truth. It's always sad when I hear of someone wasting their time believing something that is obviously false.

  • most idiotical video ever.

mormonism? it`s old! Let`s find out something stranger and more idiotical and call it "the gospel of Christ/Jahwe/Muhammad" ...

    Mormons ..... = idiots.

  • @ThreeLions89 The video isn't "idiotical". It's accurate. It was proclaimed by a paper back east "thus ends mormonism" but it didn't happen. We have over 14 million members and getting close to 15 million. Our temples are all over the earth. Our 52,000+ missionaries carry the gospel to wonderful people waiting to hear the gospel. It's pretty spectacular.

  • @JackNimble61 spectacular, really? that a newspaper article didn't foretell the future? you give 'em too much credit. what about the unfulfilled prophecies in your church history? still spectacular?

does this make islam even more spectacular since they outnumber your church? number of members means absolutely nothing.

your church makes up about 0.2% of the earth's population (not even 1/4 of 1%) which means nearly 100% of the world is not lds.

14 mill+? ...not nearly all are active or faithful.

  • @JackNimble61

Sure...Poligamy, underage arranged marriages, racism etc.... oh wait...let`s not forget that thing about the underwear XD

Get a life or die with your illusion.

  • @ThreeLions89 Are you this hateful the first time you speak to anyone? Let's face it, your grandmother would have whooped your butt for such rudeness and you would have deserved every lick of it.

  • @JackNimble61

My grandmother would`ve whooped my butt if I had joined mormonism or other idiotical "religions".

PS : are you wearing the magical underwear?

PS2: I`m getting a tan..... can I still go to heaven?

    PS3: You`re an idiot.

  • @ThreeLions89 It's not very nice to say your grandmother was no smarter than you are. I'll bet, right now, she is wondering when you'll smarten up.

re PS: We don't have "magical underwear", but you would know that if you knew anything about us.

re PS2: If you repent. If you don't, unlikely.

re PS3: Imagine how much it means to be called an idiot by an idiot. As a voice of experience, I can tell you, very little.

  • @JackNimble61

Unfortunately for you my grandmother was a physician and I`m currently studying law in Zurich . So compared to someone who thinks that he/she will be safe by wearing magical underwear I`d say that I`m doing fine.

    PS: Yes you do.

    PS2:Repent my ass.

PS3: Imagine how much it means being an idiotical bible-thumping idiot . Oh wait...you ARE an idiotical bible-thumping idiot. Hey where`s your God/allah/Jahwé living? Near the moon? Or in some other place we`ll never found out? XD

  • @ThreeLions89 Make up your mind. First you imply your grandmother was not smarter than you and now you show that she WAS.

re PS: You know I have magical underwear? LOL! And you call ME an idiot. LOL!

re PS2: So you refuse to apologize for lying? Very European.

re PS3: If you claim there is no God, you are either a fool or a liar by biblical standards.

  • @JackNimble61 Unlike your inbred family we know what the word education stands for. That`s why no intelligent people will ever join mormonism or any other idiotical religion.

PS: Isn`t that part of what Joseph horny smith wrote in his magical book ? buahahahah

PS2: The onyl one lying here it`s you: You`re lying to yourself ;)

PS3: Biblical standards= WHO THE FUCK CARES about the bible/Coran etc...? No intelligent people give shit about those failed abortions.

  • @ThreeLions89 There went any credibility you had.

Tell me, what brings a person to this type of video if he doesn't really believe in God? If you truly do not believe in God, why would you even come here to post unless you just get your jollies by insulting others that believe differently than you? That doesn't sound like a good person or a rational person at all. You should deal with your own issues and insecurities elsewhere.

  • @JackNimble61

1)Credibility? Mormons talking about credibility? bauhahahha oxymoron.

    2) I`ve never said that I don`t believe in god. I don`t know if there`s a god or not but I`m sure that mormonism, just like 90% of religions is absolutely idiotical.

    3) You shouldn`t worry about how I got to this vid. Just face the truth: you`re a bible-thumping idiot.

4)Better be insecure about "god" than bein sure of mormonism XD

    Mormons... XD

  • @ThreeLions89 So you're proud of being ignorant. Go figure. LOL

  • @JackNimble61

    Ignorant? Let`s compare.

    1) I speak 5 languages

    2) I`m studying law in Zurich (Switzerland)

    3) I can think on my own without bible-thumping idiots and "prophets" telling me that if I don`t wear magic underwear I`ll die in hell

    4) FUCK YOU ;)

  • @ThreeLions89 Considering not one of your points excluded you from being ignorant (LOOK UP THE DEFINITION) I rest my case.

  • @JackNimble61 you rest your case in order to go buying the magical underwear? BUahahah XD
