Looks like maybe an RPG. Cool. I like the music and the game isn't slow moving. That's good. Can you seriously skip all those bad guys? Do you not have a weapon at the star?
I'm going to call this a maze game and not an RPG at this point and I really don't see the point of the bad guys but you gained some weapons to blast through walls. Looks like a really fun game. And it looks like you spent a lot of time playing this in the past.
@jfeltes I wished Legacy of the Wizard on NES keep the intro and the same music from the MSX2 version (some music was changed and a few maze levels) but on the plus some things where added to the NES game like the addition of scrolling screen. As you pointed out it's a maze game thankfully thanks to Hardcore Gaming 101 who not only profile this game but gives a detail map too since I never finished this game when I was young. The sound on the MSX2 one here is much better over NES.
