igby's mom has tummors or somthing that keep showing up despite all treatment, so she decides to kill herself in the most morbid way possible, by making her kids poison her.

And Igby's dad is in a mental hospital he has mental problems ever since igby was a little boy. I think the film kinda gives you the idea that igby's mom made him worse, but i should watch it again cuz right now i dont remember.

It's a good movie, watch it again! I Will :)
