Kelly is a spinto soprano(higher than mezzo)

B is a Mezzo Soprano.They both have there strengths,B voice is strong when she sings the midalto and low soprano range.Kelly voice voice is strongest whe she sings high full voice and falsetto and can sing deep.B can riff very well, and can hit notes like High C and sing tenor(pop music).Kelly has depth and soul to her voice, and her range can go above a High C.(randb/soul music)

sorry but kelly rowland is a mezzo soprano. just because kelly can sing higher doesnt mean shes a spinto soprano. its all about where her midrange is at. And in harmonies, kelly is the one usually singing the lower alto harmonies.

well first off they're wrong on kellys lowest notes. her lowest notes was when she was in destinys child. And kelly can go lower the Bb3.

And kellys mid range is in a mezzos midrange which is lower then C4. thats like saying aguilera is a spinto soprano and we all know she isnt.

and that girl has got some things mixed up. michelle williams is not a damn spinto soprano. just because u can reach a higher octave doesnt classify you as a spinto soprano. i can hit as low A2 and as high as E6 and i am NOT a spinto soprano.

I smell some haters on this comment list... that's too bad. Now let's clear some things up shall we? I would agree that kelly and beyonce have the same range, but Beyonce can do more with her voice than Kelly can FLAT OUT. Kelly said it herself on the Wendy Williams show, Beyonce got more parts in Destinys Child because Beyonce could do more with her voice than she could.

Okay I can see where you are coming from, and you're right, it doesn't take away from Kelly at all. The point I'm trying to make is that there are a lot of people that try to tear down Beyonce for whatever reason they can, and in terms of vocals, there really isn't a lot to say. I was thinking that they probably did take lessons together considering they were a part of destinys child for so long but I could be wrong.

i see what you're saying & yes beyonce & kelly rowland at one point did have singing lessons together but when beyonce went solo she got different vocal lessons. celebrities always have some type of vocal coaching even if they dont need it for warm up reasons & performances. the difference between beyonce & kelly in my opinion, is that beyonce is more aggressive and is always trying to improve her voice, her sound & her look and kelly is content at where shes at.

I think she looks better than B. Kelly is one of those people that does not need any makeup or anything like that. Vocally, she and B have about the same range. They each have approx, four octaves. I think since Kelly has struck out on her own she her vocal skills have much improved.
