Anyway, yay for Rupert being a Ravenclaw (though I don't really see him as the Ravenclaw kinda person :P).

And about the Ron thing...: he's not perfect, but he really does care about his friends.

AL, clearly you didn't read the books. Since ALL of the Weasley's were at Hogwarts, they couldn't have abandoned their children. Tonks abandoned her 3 month old child. . . and there is no other word for it. . . .abandoned, to fight in a war that was not hers to fight. . .nor, was she needed.

It's difficult to say all the houses were "equal" when one is for the brave, one is for the smart, one is for the dark and one is for the leftovers, errrrrrrr, Hufflepuff. . . I suggest you reread. .

Hufflepuff isn't for the leftovers..its for the people who are loyal and hardworking. Ron could've been in Hufflepuff because he's extremely loyal to Harry but then he was braver so he was put into Gryffindor.

Was Ron "loyal" when he turned on him in GoF? Or "loyal" when he ran from the forrest? Or when he behaved as a jealous loser in regard to Harry's relationship w/Ginny? Ron was not a good friend to Harry. And don't bring up book 7. . most of his good change only had to do with him reading that 12 step book on getting a witch. . .Ron was not a good guy, and posting that only reveals a lack of understanding of the book. I, am not sorry. Clearly, if you believe weasleby's actions during the 7 books display true friendship, you are a moron and have a low standard for the behavior of friends.

Everytime, not some, not many, not most. . . .of the time, everytime, in this series that Harry needed Ron to be a friend, Ron turned on Harry and abandoned him. Calm down. No need to get over emotional. Besides if Ron wasn't royal to Harry he wouldn't have come back in the first place, not to mention save Harry's life. In GoF he told Harry about the dragons even though he was having a fight with him. In SS he sacrificed himself so Harry could go on. In CoS he came to the Dursley's to save Harry and break him out. He was a "jealous loser" because he was scared Harry would break up with Ginny and leave heart broken again.

Okay, once again, Tonks didn't abandon her son. If she abandoned her son, then so did Mr. and Mrs. Weasley and all the other people who fought who had children and knew they might die. They were trying to build a better life for their children, grandchildren, etc.

And Hufflepuff is not for the misfits and "dumb lumps". Helga Hufflepuff was just as much of a founder of Hogwarts as the other three, who made sure that no house was inferior to another.

Don't hate on Tonks. She didn't enter a battle on which she had no effect...she entered a battle to make sure her child could live in peace. And she died heroicly.

Sadly, Tonks entering the fight was negligent by any standards. Her feak husband was already in the fight and she chose to abandon her child. Her choice left her child an orphan. Her choice as at least consistent with the choice of someone isn't very smart, proving yet again, the Sorting Hat was smart and lumped all the dumb lumps together in Hufflepuff. Clearly, a house of wizarding doorknobs.

King, are you void? The facts (they're in the book. . .you really should read it. .. )

1) Her father had been killed . . . her mother (you remember her, the Bellatrix look-a-like) had to be grieving due to this loss. . .

2) So, she had, as her family, a grieving mother, a werewolf husband and a defenseless 3 month old child.

3) She chose to abandon the child.

4) She chose to have a child in the midst of this war, and she chose to abandon the child.

You can spin it, but facts don't change

However both houses have their good qualities. The only reason why we don't see so much of Hufflepuff is because the trio isn't a good friend of anyone in that house, so JKR doesn't focus on it too much.

Hagrid is an ignorant oaf, and to base anything in these books on anything he says is silly. The oaf has the cognitive thought process of a 2nd grader and the reasoning ability of a 3 year old. Not because I say so, but because that is how JKR wrote the character of Hagrid. Sorry

My point wasn't that Hufflepuff was better. I merely wanted to point out that JKR wrote all of the houses to have good qualities, and the only reason why we don't have as much information on Hufflepuff is because she didn't focus on Hufflepuff House as much as the other three. If you think about it, Hufflepuff's common room is the only common room that Harry doesn't see in the entire series. We see Slytherin's in CoS and Ravenclaw's in DH.

I was merely mentioning Hagrid's quote.
