  • @teksaram I do not know of a specific name, sorry.

@ChrisD4335 Laptop monitors are not compatible with desktop models, so instead of purchasing and spending a lot of money on a new monitor you can just buy a converter.

  • Can i buy that LCD-Controller-board-YID-laptop-a-desktop-monitor even if I'm here in Philippines?

  • what computer is that? I really want to try this with the raspberry pi (smallest computer, $25), but keep the laptop intact, not sure how to go about this...

  • @ThisWierdGuy The seller now has a youtube page, you can find information and ask questions at the njytouch page.

  • It's not a laptop !!!

  • @erdincertan it is a laptop lcd screen...read better!!

  • there stuff looks good how long it take to get to ya?

  • @JTBRUZ Just a few days it was really pretty fast... I think the estimate was two weeks and it took 5 days max.

  • I did not make any modifications to the connectors and you do not have to install any drivers.

  • did you have to install any drivers

  • thats not a chinese power cble n your hand ts a UK power cable

  • U DA MAN!!!...I was lookin forever for this move, very nice!

  • hallo world LOL

  • Can u do a overview on how to hook these up. I don't want to burn out my lcd. Plz.

  • You are an asshole, this is not a laptop monitor, this is a desktop monitor without the case.

    You are a joker.

  • @nabozoide It's a laptop LCD module, the ones inside desktop monitors are thicker and have some heavy shielding on the back side. Those don't really need an external controller board because they already come with one. The one on the video is the R.RM3251C controller from NJYtouch (cheapest), there are variants with a TV tuner, DVI output and audio.

  • @nabozoide no. its a laptop lcd OUT OF THE LAPTOP. fucking dumbass

  • @nabozoide - if you are a girl, your name can be little "Mis-information" . fool!

  • Nice Video , Check Out Our Channel , I Did The Same Thing To My LCD

  • Just like to point out that's a British (UK) Plug not Chinese. nice little idea tho.

  • looks like you damaged the crystal matrix removing the lcd from the lappy, its iimportant you dont overflex the screen during disassembly.

  • can i ask ,,,, did this can work with my amilo la1703 lcd screen

  • Will this work to input video, e.g. using a cable to play xbox on the monitor?

  • I have bought this...and it works PERFECTLY.

You just have to muck around a little to dismantle the screen from your old laptop.

Connecting to the controller board itself is easy and works a cinch. Easily one of the best things I have bought.

    Email Christina: Christina@njytouch.com

  • Please make a step by step tutorial for this .

  • Interesting video! How much did the LCD controller cost?

  • how do i know which control board to buy?

  • They can be found by just google-ing Njytouch

or just type triple W . Njytouch .com

I will contact them and buy a controller for my old Toshiba.. now I only have to figure out how to take the display out of the old laptop..

  • That;s not the Chinese version of power cable, that's the British version.

  • For anyone looking to buy the material I used please visit the sellers website! Just search njytouch on google.
