I know this sound strange, but I didnt hear the song in GTA first time. This song played in the Croatian commercial for mayo.Later when I bought a game and when I heard this song,I felt so hungry...
Im glad that people are discovering music through video games, but this song was out 12 years before San Andreas came out, most of us dont associate it with a video game because we were there.
Nope. It's the cousin of my uncle who is the husband of one of my Dads sisters. Try wrapping your head around that one after a few pints of Guinness.......
in a certain way, british indie bands tend to sound shitty live at times, usually due to their singers. bobby gillespie isn't the greatest singer in the world and of course in the studio things always sound right even doe to a million takes or studio trickery..
yes, very true.. I couldn't agree more... there's also one other factor you fail to mention... & thats the fact that british singers.. often get carried away with drugs & alcohol. Bobby being a prime example.
well then you mustn't be an avid music lover then. You must've been off your own nut. I like them alot, but versions of im singing this song have all been way too different. & as Soprano man said, these guys would be huge in america if it weren't for bobby's drug abuse.
lets be honest, Bob cant sing sober or not. To me a Scream gig is more about the music and like i said, they've always delivered. And yes ive seen them while "out my nut", the whole drug thing just isnt an issue with me. Far as im concerned its anyones own buisness.........
Just watched your recommendation, and i see where you are going, but, and its BUT!!!, i dont think Scream base thier success on America. Or am i just saying that because they hav'nt broke there yet? I get that you are saying Bob's habits held Scream back, and you may have a point, but he wasnt the only one doing it. Team effort and all that! No offence intended but i like Scream as they are, darkside included. SVZ doesnt mean anything to me.
fair enough... though I reckon there destiny has always been in the hands of Bobby, Mani is an awesome musician, the other blokes always consistently hold tune wthout problem too. Woulda been good if Primal Scream were the biggest band on earth when they had the chance. Anybody but U2 as far as im concerned.
If you haven't listened to Screamadelica by Primal Scream, you really should. One of my favorite albums of all time. And this song is probably one of the three best songs on there. :D
i love this song so much. The first time i heard it when i was playing GTA san andreas. i always get an epic feeling when i am flying over the counry in the game and listening to this song.
I like 'Screamadelica' a lot, and 'Movin' On Up' is the great song. But my favorite song is 'Come Together' with Bobby's vocals, and there isn't on Screamadelica.
My favorite Primal Scream album is 'Sonic Flower Groove'.
For me, it's the best album of the band,
and I never saw them playing the songs of first album on concert actually.
anybody know what happened to their official video for this song (black & white version) - used to be on YouTube but disappeared - great version, I thought.

The albums they released before Screamadelica were a lot more rock-oriented--it is kind of odd that it's the only song like it on that album, though. Still, great song.
Hear it all the time playing GTA SA and always wanted to download it... checked soundtrack lists and check every single song till i finally found it! Thanks a lot!

well basically Lexyboy, what is wrong with that, is the fact that. it fucks up their ability to give consistently great performances.
