First off: Love this song. Absolutely adore DD. But can't for the life of me figure out what's played live here and what's played from tape. Simon's vocals are obviously live, as is John's bass. Drums most certainly are not live. Most of the backing vox are way too clean to be live. Keys/gtr, I don't know. Just a weird mix. No matter, they're ace and this song is such a beauty!

DD are a proper band. While a lot of the stuff Nick does is programmed and synced, Roger isn't just eye candy back there. I don't know why you think you're not hearing live drums from him. As far as backing vocals are concerned, do you not hear that it's JOHN singing background for the live version as opposed to the recorded version? You must be hearing something different than I am, try again.

@tylergirl1970 I know they're a proper band. I am very aware of that. I said "most of the backing vox", not all. If you look at Roger WITH YOUR OWN TWO EYES, you will see that a lot of the cymbal hits are not even in sync with what's being played. Plus he hits a china cymbal in the recording, and there's no china in the kit at all. It's obvious you don't know what you're talking about. I was just wondering about the mix in general, not putting DD down.
