The police, who can't even show you the "law" who can't quote it except to say "go look on the internet" and who are now joined by Private Security Corporately owned forces as a "branch" to their forces to ad more eyes spying on yours and my freedom. I agree completely. This weekend was a shame and embarrassing.
The vandalism and police aggression was absolutely ridiculous. Both sides should
be ashamed of themselves.
The violence from both sides was out of control, validated the money spent on security and took away the positive, peaceful, legal demonstration that happened during the day (06/26/10).
This afternoons (06/28/10) protest march was a perfect example of how both sides work together in peace & its progressive.

I'd like to say the converse: that I am proud to not be in a state where the police can do whatever they please. Unfortunately I live in the UK, where people speaking freely are met with violence, sometimes fatal. Innocent citizens who are protecting our rights – being vigilant as we all need to be, are beaten and arrested.

You talk as if this has just happened in Canada. no that's wrong, as far as I can remember whenever there was a summit meeting these stupid anarchists were present destroying public properties.
