@cinemadnness It was just a low-fire un-sanded white clay, pretty standard stuff. I believe read that a high-fire clay is better for oc making, something about the elasticity of it, but I'd already bought what I have by then so I've never tried it. Good luck!
@vladrox34 If you look at the 2nd and 3rd most recent episodes of OcTalk! on Docjazz4's channel, I have a little spot where I talk about the tools/materials I use to make ocarinas. Check it out!
My curious question is do you make the holes BEFORE you seal the two halves together or after? Because when I do it after, they come out in diameters too thick and I see other ocarinas in nice, thin diameters.
@Chichiri520 Hi! I do most of the hole-cutting and tuning after I've temporarily attached the two halves. You pretty much have to do it that way if you want the ocarina to be properly tuned. I usually have to open it back up once to clean it out before I check the tuning a second time and then permanently seal it. If you're holes seem too big, the only things I can think of are that the ocarina itself is too big, or you're not tuning it correctly. Sorry I can't be more help!
It's okay, dont worry about it. Thanks for the helpful reply. The mistake I've done along time ago is make the holes without opening the ocarina again (thus the thick diameters and messy interior). Thanks again :3
Hey Man - there are lots of resources online that will help you learn to make ocarinas! Since YT doesn't allow links in comments, I'll send you a message with a couple websites to check out. Good luck!
Not that I could ever have the patience to do this, but the last note on your first octave is a bit sharp.

much nicer then the ones I make. that's a great ocarina, considering you aren't a professional at it.

I think it sounds good enough to play. :\
It's pretty good! Continue making more and maybe even have a little store or something. I'd buy some custom ocarinas if I could!
