  • how do you do a step through then up and under right after that. Good help though I'm doing better in post with these moves.

  • please upload 2k12 version of this...

  • he sounds like the 2k insider

  • Comment removed

  • dosent work

  • How do you do this but instead of the fade away you do an up and under?

  • Wow all the months this game has been out i never new you had to have a good release on post shots i just let go of x after the shot animation started like with kobe you can kill post shots all day not even perfect release but great vid this was what i was lookin for.

  • @DwightHowardSup3rman yeah. Keep it locked cause I'll have much more for 2K12.

  • how do you do a rondo layap

  • all these videos are nice bruh

  • @2:20 betwen the legs ???

  • can this only work with the controller set-up on default or alternative A?

  • @toyboy670 I use default.

  • im using josh smith to try these moves because thats who i have for my online leauge, he wont do a fade away and or shot the ball at all, is it me or is it just josh smith?

  • @st55ave could very well be Josh Smith. 2K11 plays true to life.

  • Well, now I can do this move as well, but I can't keep Garnett from scoring 20 pts per half with this shot. Got the hand in his face, but 8/10 it goes in even, when I double team him... Gee

  • @RayDee93 IT's simply because Garnett is a beast and they allow that to happen for him in this game. He sort of does it in real life too.

  • This is great

  • man thanks for these videos i would rather see it be done than read and try to perform

  • Is this based on how long u hold the shot stick or is it based on luck???

  • @domski93 On how long you hold the shot stick.

  • hey dude,what game mode??

  • @MyKING555 It's in the Practice options

  • you sound like fat tony from the simpsons n like the song "drop it like its hot" by snoop

  • @Sk8kickflip07 lols thanks yo. peace

  • i click two times to the right and he KG does jump hok how do you do it

  • CAn you fake left and then fake right again the fade away at the left?

  • @L3g3ndkill4 Theres a little shimmy shoulder fake you can do. Check out my Post up Moves tutorial.

  • @ShakeDown2012 aiight cool

  • hey man, my ps3's control cam be use on my PC?

  • @Vicenterpp I don't think so bro.

  • At 1 time I was ranked 4th in 2k10 on PS3, but with all this push a button a watch your player nonsense, these tutorials really come in handy. I've never appreciated practice mode so much. Thanks my dude. Plus it gives me something to do during The Great Playstation Blackout lol

  • @Kratos216911 OMG, I know right?

  • would chris kaman be effective doing this move?

  • i cant do in pc. but my controls is like on ps3. how to do it in pc?

  • @bolboli2 not sure. You're just going to have to substitute the shot buttons for what ever it is on PC

  • can you do it on the ps2?

  • What's the name of the opening tune?

  • @calvinfan81 Drive Cam

  • Great vid thanks!

  • @lockout92 no problem bro. Peace

  • Great vid thanks!

  • lol i also wanna know how to defend it. kg dont miss nothing in the post on hall of fame

  • @SAYDABABY yeah, the computer cheats

  • omg benefit is the shit

  • @sneakerchamp23 haha, Glad you noticed

  • thank you

  • @JohnnyBrasco81 don't miss all the other tutorials. Might truly take your game to the next level.

  • @hoobanga You can use the X button

  • Why Blake Griffin?

  • @imawesomenuknowit cause he's a rookie.

  • Yo ShakeDown. Lamar Odom always does this baseline spinning shot. Let's say he catches the ball on the right side of the hoop, he'll dribble the ball only once and spins to his right and shoots the ball. This is all in one motion by the way. Any idea how to do it?

  • @TurnOffTheRadio yeah, I've been trying to figure that one out myself

  • @TurnOffTheRadio I think you are talking about the momentum inside shot. The AI loves doing this on baseline. From just outside the paint move the shotstick opposite to the direction you are moving without holding any triggers. It is easiest to practice with 2k cam running parallel to the basket (imagine the FT line going covering the whole width of the court.) If you are running left you would move the shotstick to the right. For doing it on baseline, move forward then move SS back.

  • jus to let u kno there is no shot timeing on roll shots like this. is doesnt matter when u release it. the shot has a random chance of going in depending on the player u do it with

  • I need to know how 2 pass and shoot without The shooting asisstance signal

  • My friend has a ps3 n i dnt. The thing is My friend dnt like for me to practice on the game. I need a video on how to shoot with the bulls 95-96 bulls.

  • @MrRel23 All I can tell you is practice bro. Practice!

  • do you guys know how to do kobe's signature fake and spin shot

  • @ggaaggo123 I think it's situational. Everything has to be perfect. I don't think signature moves like that can be done manually.

  • @ShakeDown2012 all u got to do is go on a fastbreak when somebody is in front of u fro either side out of the paint u have to let go of turbo and hold lt or l 2 and tap it depending wich side ur on

  • @ggaaggo123 all u got to do is go on a fastbreak when somebody is in front of u fro either side out of the paint u have to let go of turbo and hold lt or l 2 and tap it depending wich side ur on

  • @ggaaggo123 all u got to do is go on a fastbreak when somebody is in front of u from either side out of the paint u have to let go of turbo and hold lt or l 2 and tap it to the side ur on (it has to be done on the sides and outside the paint

  • @rugayornot ive done it man.. tnx... it's favorite move now..... but it misses alot.... i made a sweet post move like hakeem using kobe.... im in the post and i made a fast spin to the left then instantly kobe dream shaked my defender.... it was sweet.. i am going to upload it...

  • @ggaaggo123 ur welcome and the reason why it misses is that if theres a guy thats taller than u he can block u so it mostley works on guys smaller than kobe.

and nice move ill check it out and subscribe

  • a lot of 2k players need to watch this video...i already knew these moves but most 2k players dont

  • @khadeemw91 absolutely. It's funny, the other videos I did called Fundamentals of dribbling and shooting... they have like 65,000 views and yet their afraid of the advanced Post moves.

  • @ShakeDown2012 i kno ....thats why its so easy winning ranked matches....the post up on 2k is probably the most frustating thing to defend

  • @khadeemw91 yup

  • To bad you can't play as Hakeem Olajuwon. You would be UNSTOPPABLE in the post.

  • @Snip3Show1 OMG yes!

  • can you do some shoot off the dribble moves that are effective?

  • @walke22j hmm... I guess I could try to make some sense out of a few extra moves for you guys.

  • Do a tutorial on the post move spin dunk.

  • @spliffism coming soon.

  • Does the release matter when your doing the post moves?

  • @TheServer33 yes, in order to time the shot.

  • i thought the release point in the post wasn't important

  • @ollieolive1 no it is.

  • @ShakeDown2012 can you do a tutorial on shooting off the dribble

  • OMFG FINALLY TY !

  • do you let A.I guard the post player when hes making a move ? or do switch and guard him urself?

  • @kiko11281030 I guard him myself.

  • @kiko11281030 I guard him myself.

  • yo theres a new moves thats almost unstoppable its like a double spin in the post u spin 1 way then spin the other do u kno how to do it (post move)

  • @915sept show it to me.

  • Awesome but i got wii xD

  • How exactly do you do rondos fake pass?

  • @TrueAlaskanMaverick Not exactly sure. I've done it randomly a few times. I think it has something to do with positioning on the court and an open receiver. Sort of like Magic's through the legs pass.

  • @TrueAlaskanMaverick

Its a flick-flick move. Drive to the basket, hold L, flick the shot stick away from the basket twice. The timing is a little tricky - I have to use a slower flick and make sure the stick returns to center in between each flick.

Most of these are location dependent - so you need to figure out where he can do that move and if he needs to be running.

  • @TrueAlaskanMaverick

Its a flick-flick move. Drive to the basket, hold L, flick the shot stick away from the basket twice. The timing is a little tricky - make sure there is some space between the flicks and make sure the stick returns to center in between each flick.

    * I just tried this out driving across the free throw line and you need to flick both times in the opposite direction of your momentum. These are definitely icing on the cake though, learn everything else first.

  • When I do it my player will do the double shimmy but he won't shoot.. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME..!!?

  • @TheBLACWIDOW It's a pain in the ass but you really have to hold the shot stick down all the way then release. The best I could tell you is to go into practice mode and make day out of it. You'll get it lil brotha.

  • @ShakeDown2012 Thanks for the Help.

  • @ShakeDown2012 Well how are we suppose to hold the shot stick down if we flick it to the right twice...

  • @TheBLACWIDOW flick it then hold it down. Just takes practice bro. you'll get it. Go into the practice mode. I've said this before, this game takes a lot of skill. With skill comes a lot of practice.

  • @TheBLACWIDOW are you holding down the right stick after the shimmys?

  • Very helpful video..Thanks..

What about tutorial for an effective defense?

  • @inriman I'll be doing those vids for machinima.

  • Nice informative vid and nice music too! Subscribed.

  • @TonyThriller I'm working with an HD PVR now... much more to come.

  • Yo, preciate the vids. just found your vids and they are tha truth. And big ups for using KG all the time, my fav player in the league.

  • @blowejr10 yeah, he's the best for these examples yo. Peace

  • can you upload a video on kobe's pivot move?

  • @bembem300931 that's a good request... in fact... give me a list of guys moves that you'd like to see and I'll see about doing videos on those moves for you.

  • @bembem300931 yeah, I'll add it to the list. Hit me up with whomever else you'd like to see and if I get time I'll cut a vid for you.

  • Wow many thanks man i was trying to figue out how to do this and you just showed me. Greetings from Greece

  • @topografer No problem brotha. Peace

  • if it doesn't work, don't do it. why do people practice this post crap? layups and post moves have like a 25% success rate. the game is fucked up in that aspect. mid- ranged shots are the easiest points by miles. players miss wide open layups all day long no matter if you're rondo or cp3

  • @TheFitz02 I don't seem to be having these problems. I do post up moves all day with Garnet, Boozier, Dirk and Bosh

  • @ShakeDown2012

ye, i hear you, i like to do simple post up moves in my player too with my oversized shooting guard (bonus points too! good shot selection + post move score!)

  • Your tutorials are THEE BEST!

  • @qjtrinh I'm trying yo. Thanx

  • @ShakeDown2012 do the pick in rolls and hit me when you post it

  • i LOVE ur tutorials too =D

  • @bmegaray thanx bro.

  • what about game sliders tutorial and yr opinion on game sliders for best game

  • @Kunniva523 I'm not a slider tutorial kind of guy. I don't really like the fact that you have to change the game to adjust it to your playing style especially if everyone has their preference. I'm going to just borrow a good mix from Apexisfree and Versus2. On the real, those guys do a phenomenal job on the sliders.

  • a shake, do you think stoudemire can use this move affectively?

  • @rawmc27 Hell yeah, Guys like Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Bosh, & Tim Duncan. Just takes practice but those guys are butter baby.

  • @ShakeDown2012 thanks for the respond fam, your tutorials are the best!

  • @rawmc27 I've used him and he can. But he's better going up strong and running pick and rolls to the basket.

  • Oh BTW, how high does your post up have to be to do this? I want to do this with my MyPlayer. Thansk for the vids!!!!

  • @bmums311 I'm not exactly sure. I'm assuming that everyone can do it just not as fast or as efficient. But I could be wrong.

  • Are you holding in the LT or RT when you are flicking to the left twice?

  • @bmums311 no. Once in the post position, you can then release LT & RT

  • @ShakeDown2012 Ok thanks. I didnt play 2k10, so its like im learning all of this all over agian. Thanks for the tutorial vids. I am getting my friends to subscribe too!

  • @bmums311 no doubt. any requests will be majorly considered.

  • @ShakeDown2012 Tips on getting more skill points for your MyPlayer... lol

  • @bmums311 yeah, I wish I knew brotha. 1

  • i wanna see how u play for real lol

  • @mrallenakaneo hey, thanx a lot brotha. 1

  • Perfectly done Shake. Finally got my hands on the game. Do you know if you can choose the defensive team in post practice mode? Seems like it's always the Celtics, or random. But I don't think you can change it like you can in scrimmage mode. Thanks.

  • @mixed34 Yeah, you can choose both teams. I figured it out. You just have to play with it before you pick your teams. I can't remember exactly but it's there. I use Boston for post ups but You can use any team.

  • good shit.
