superbowl of cycling...what a prick. How can you compare the two, cycling is the toughest sport in the world and the superbowl is a game of football. Lets put things into perspective
It's unbelievable that the world's best team at the time, run by a media-savvy business mogul, would consent to such an amateurish-looking publicity stunt - it's like a school play. And I suppose that's what is so endearing about it all: the riders seem like real people, young boys even, and not the corporate drones we have to put up with these days. As Fignon put it in 'Nous etions jeunes et insouciants', back then it seemed like the riders were actually enjoying themselves, as well as riding
@MrCurtains66 This was from CBS Sports USA. Its kind of funny doing the team introductions as you see with basketball nowadays. Hinault and Lemond look like they are having a bit of fun which is good. Also I have uploaded something from the 1986 Tour regarding the Systeme U team which you may like also :)
what a load of bollox, this video really makes procycling look like a complete joke.

This is astonishing. Thanks so much for posting. Also, I'm fairly sure that Hinault could knock unconscious football players twice his weight.
