  • OH you've got it bad!!! ;-)

    BEAUTIFUL collection man!!

  • haha had to clean out your shed, and you found a bunch of mint old motors?

  • Is that a Villiers outboard at 1.40?

  • Yes it is. It is a factory one. Norton Villiers Ballarat cast a few legs up early 50s. Did not do well so gave the idea up. Aftermarket suppliers like El-Den etc were cheaper with leg kits. Australian Evinrude (No relation to US Evinrude) made legs as well.

Castings are perfect and match the casting work of the 7F power head. It has a different carb and induction than the 7F lawnmower version and the governor mechanism was never fitted into the cases.Kind of Cool Yeh?

    Love it to bits!

  • Hi...thanks for the reply. I thought it was a Villiers. I just recently acquired one, orignal condition, still going, though not sure of the make of the leg. Thinner than yours, definitely made for the motor and not a butcher job..colour matched with the outboard (blue). Any help on finding out would be appreciated. Also do you know anything about decoding the serial numbers? Mine is 295x 36056
