The first Homeworld was amazing now it look's dated (but still dam good) Homeworld 2 opened up the canon of the series but had a lot a compatibility problems and i have to say this, the music got old fast witch was a surprising contrast to the last game witch had a sound track that made you won-ta sit throw the credits and you just can't say that about many other games. do i want to see Homeworld 3? your dam-right i do but as mush as i hate to say it I'd like to see a reboot same music though.

Well about the "Planet" killers I know its late to post this, but hey. They were from another old race (Can't remember their name right now). Makaan found them and activated them, if he was someone destroyed then the "planet killers" were his backup plan to destroy the hiigarrans.

Ok how about since we opened up gates through out the galaxy with the eye of arren, in doing so we figured out what happened to the Progenitors and where they went since they disappeared without a trace, thus starting a war because we came into their new territory, also figuring out happened to the Bentusi.

Can we have the Hiigarian fleet, the Taiidian Imperialists, the renegade Vaygrs, the Beast arising once again awaken up by someone (perhaps new leader of the Vaygr for their purposes), and the TUranic raiders selling themselves to anyone.

...Ever checked how old is that picture of your "evidence"? that is exactly homeworld 2, if you would look at the trailer, you would also notice a few things that make the game look differently.

Also, just speaking about what happens in the end doesnt mean that they HAVE to make another homeworld, people thought of that in many games. Besides, gaming series get new games even when there isnt anything to tell you what is the story gonna be made of.

Like it, bery good observation. My only opinion is BETTER BE A HOMEWORLD 3 GODDAMMIT! So awesome and well done, game, to be honest the on going Universe Mod project is exactly the route the Homeworld series should be taking, more civ's, ships, and battles on an epic scale! Not that I could play it anyway on my pisspoor laptop (any mods that can be played without the official patch let me know as the patch makes the game lag and no matter what I've tried it continues to do so) Good luck!

I would like it if they had remade HW1. Many friends that I have think that HW2 is a great game and yet nobody seems to know the story of the Exiles because they never played HW1, and the game is hard to get hold off, not to mention incompatibility problems with newer rigs.

Since the Bentusi were always interested to keep the balance and fight the evil it is possible they built the planet killers in case the old hiigaran empire (before the exile) finds sajuuk and thereby becomes unstoppable. As far as we know the former hiigaran empire was corrupted, evil and started the first large galctic war that they lost.

That would explain why it is similar to bentusi tech. But maybe there are other Bentusi that once devided from the Bentusi we know and built the PK.

I like your idea of s´jet becoming sort of emperorness, and the Kadeshi, once part of hiigaran society should be the rebels, since they never wanted to reintegrate into hiigaran society. Part 1 You are so right in a way. Think about it who ever maked this as a thumbs down, If you look at todays CP games then compare that to regular game systems rate of games, Xbox 360 for instance, then you notice. I search at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, The Internet, The Mall, Even game stop but yet I cannot find any Strategy game that competes with homeworld 2 or 1 which in most cases is really sad and disappointing.

Relic, like Bungie and most other major developers know that most avid and devoted fans usually work out a game sequel or continuation of a franchise is going to be made based on a tiny amount of evidence and inconsequential hints. Developers prefer to stay in the dark about things rather then publicly state their working on something till it reaches a solid stage where it will be released no matter what. It's a fact that we know nothing about the other races in the HW universe except for a quick look at their ships at the end of HW1

Maybe the council was oppressed by the Taiidan who forbid the use of warships (thats why you never see any warships of foreign races) and sent the Bentusi to help the Kushan to defeat them and theirfore had to keep the contact secret.

Now they fear the Hiigaran could do the same again as Kushan where somewhat like the Taiidan became later (said s/t like that in HW1)

Sayed that: these planet killers could be a weapon of the council (Bentusi only providing technology or the Benutsi bought their technology).

The Hiigarans still aren't part of the concil so they could be observed by someone (Bentusi?) to see if they are "worth" entering the concil?

My explanation to the planet destroyers of the last mission is this:

The planet destroyers where a weapon that the Vaygr owned from some corner of the galaxy, and was ancient like them. Perhaps was an offensive remnant of some antique race that has come from the galaxy of the bentusi.

Remember ppl that there are more galaxy's than the showed up in the hyperspace cores, lots of races and lots of antique and powerful secrets. I wish that Homeworld 3 could share those secrets.

yup, and also if you look at HWC the ship Nagarock - aka the first beast, was traveling from another part of the universe using a hyperdrive of immense power.

Also if you look at the vanishing bentusi and link that to Babylon 5, the shadows and the other dudes "leaving" the galaxy to the younger races like humans and membari ... kinda see a thin line connecting them there, maybe the devs were bab5 fans ? :D

@Demolitionlinchpin nodoupt because if you go to the websites and look at the conept art they took one of the bentusi ships from HW1 and transformed it to be the o so infamous but cool looking planet killers. Therefore with that being said the planet killers were actually willing to help the vager/Tiidani race get rid of the Hiigarans for some reason. This could be a foreshadowing moment for that particular part in the game telling us that there will be more races in the upcoming HW3 hopefully

Good observation with the bentusi. Although I feel that the bentusi were attacked by the Taiiadan empire because by helping the exiles, they were breaking age-old pacts and treaties. not to mention the Taiiadan emperor at the time was like 400 years old and was flat out insane.

However, what gave me the impression of a third HW was the ending of HW2. The "Eye of Aran" thing seemed too abrupt and thrown in, like setting up a sequel. Idk if its ture or not. maybe they jsut got lazy, who knows.

I always thought the "Warriors of the fringe" were an older race, possibly almost advanced as the bentusi, but lesser known. I assumed that perhaps Makaan had made some deal with them or done them a favor or bought their service for that last battle at Hiigara. Either way, the planet killers were there to present a challenge that only Sajuuk could overcome.

i dont think that the bentusi would have traded with the vaygr, the vaygr probably captured the planet killers and used them to destroy the bentusi for the first core, sadly hwc is a renegade game that was made shortly after the original and nothing from that game affected the storyline for homeworld

Taiidan is the original race that the Kushan(Hiigarens) fought in Homeworld 1 and yes after the fall of the Taiidan....they joined a new leader named Makaan and his Empire the Vaygr.

Its very likely that the Kadeshi didn't go extinct, the nebula they live in is so big, when the Kushen arrived they prob. didn't get a chance to call their whole fleet into battle and its highly unlikely that the population of the Kadeshi was on those 3 motherships. A few things:

1. Those ship were just part of a collection of images from Homeworld2. THey a labeled as screenshots, but they are actualy custom animated to have much beter graphics.

2. Over the summer I was planing to continue the seriese with a Homeworld 3 blockbuster movie.

3. It has been 6 years since there was Homeworld 2. In between 1 , catyclism, and two there was just 4 years. I Hope they do make a 3. I would so buy it, but then I couldn't make the movie I've always wanted to.
